The Queen Who Shares Love

The Queen Who Shares Love
Chapter 56 Lodrey Orphanage (5)

Dale went to Leticia. He runs into Rose while heading to Leticia's study, so they leave together.

Leticia was a little surprised by the arrival of the two of them.

"I have important information," they both said simultaneously.

Dale and Rose looked at each other fiercely.

"My format is more important" Dale replied.

"Not having more importance and urgency" Rose argued.

Leticia who was feeling tired, did not want to hear them argue. He immediately cut, "Rose, you can talk first."

"The orphanage is leaving in three days" Rose said. He glanced at Dale triumphantly.

Dale grumbled, looking away.

"Thank you for the information, Rose. I will inform Grand Duke Faust soon. So what information did you get Dale?"

Dale told Isabella the information she gave him yesterday. Leticia and Rose heard it intently. Little more was Leticia's goal achieved, dethroning Braun from the throne. He was finally free from the palace.

"So how? My information is certainly more useful than Rose's brief information, right?" Dale replied to Rose's glance earlier.

"My information is more urgent than yours" Rose replied.

"Oh, you two. Now we better focus on capturing Marquis Lodrey, there may be other evidence involving the temple being in his residence. The chances that we can take the Pope down are even greater" Leticia explained.

Leticia thought about the relationship between the nobles who donated large amounts of money with the temple. The case of Viscount Gremaroft and Marquis Lodrey involved children. Meanwhile, Count Blaire supplies the Pope with illicit drugs.

The temple's forbidden magic ritual involved those nobles. The children sacrificed in the forbidden magic ritual were most likely from Viscount Gremaroft and Marquis Lodrey. In order to put the children to sleep, the Pope needed the forbidden medicine from Count Blaire. The reason they cooperated with the Pope is still unknown. It depends on what forbidden magic the temple does.

"You're quick to find out the forbidden magic that sacrifices children. That way, the relationship between the nobles who donated to the temple and the Pope will be clearer" Leticia ordered.

"Okay, Empress." Both answered simultaneously.

Dale and Rose immediately came out leaving Leticia alone. Leticia takes the magic stone to contact Grand Duke Faust, informing Gerald of his plans.

***

Gerald's in an orphanage. He waited while hiding. The children of the parlour were seen excitedly riding onto the horse carriage. The trains they ride on are usually used to haul goods. They are not at all suspicious, because the most important thing is to be able to vacation together with other children.

After making sure the children were up and no one was left behind. The head of the parlour sat in front of him becoming a coachman. The head of the parlor runs the horse-drawn carriage.

Gerald followed them with a horse. He was far enough behind so they didn't realize they were being followed. Gerald used his aura to sharpen his senses. He could feel their existence.

The horse carriage stopped. Gerald stopped his horse, then parked it. He walked slowly to see the children. They stopped to rest. They ate the provisions brought by the head of the home. The head of the parlour smiled to see them eating.

When it was over, the children of the parlour got back on the horse carriage. Their eyes felt heavy, probably because of the satiety. Before long they all fell asleep. The head of the parlour continued their journey.

Gerald immediately headed to his horse, not wanting to lose them. He suspected the children were asleep because the head of the home put sleeping pills in their food.

Soon the horse carriage stopped again. Gerald came down to see things again. Marquis Lodrey was talking to the Chief of the House. He gave some money. The head of the parlor looked down immediately left from there.

The marquis was heading to his meeting place with the Uthrian nobility. I didn't know he was being followed. His grin was seen along the way. He will get a lot of money.

Marquis Lodrey stopped. The person who transacted with him was already waiting. He got off the horse-drawn carriage. While the orphanage children were still fast asleep. Without knowing that they are being sold.

Marquis Lodrey conversed with the man interspersed with laughter. He shook hands and received a bag of money. The marquis counted the amount of money. He nodded indicating that the number was appropriate.

The man was riding a horse-drawn carriage transporting children.

Gerald who was watching from the trees hit the person who traded with Marquis Lodrey to fall from the horse carriage. Gerald knocked the man unconscious.

Marquis Lodrey rode a horse belonging to the person who transacted with him earlier to escape.

Gerald's got his horse up there. He rushed up, chasing after Marquis Lodrey.

The road they passed was very narrow, only one horse could pass through. The right left of the road was decorated by trees. Gerald horses that have been trained can certainly chase the horse that is rode by the Marquis. To the Marquis, he arrived at a vast field of grass. Gerald drove his horse faster until he got ahead of the Marquis.

The horse that Marquis Lodrey was riding was shocked. The marquis who could not keep his balance, fell down.

Gerald got off his horse.

"Why are you chasing me, Grand Duke?" ask Marquis Lodrey.

"Why did you run, Marquis?" Gerald asked back.

Gerald walked over to Marquis Lodret. The marquis was terrified, but he tried to rack his brain to be free from this situation.

"I ran away because you were about to attack me like that person just now, Grand Duke."

"The man left to bring the children, I just stopped him. Your running away attitude is very suspicious, Marquis."

"I don't know anything about it. I was just near there," the Marquis' voice started to tremble.

Gerald clucked in annoyance. He pulled out a letter. "This is proof that you transacted with that guy the Marquis."

Marquis Lodrey realized that Grand Duke Faust was not playing around and already knew everything. His missing letter was in the hands of the wrong person.

The marquis immediately stood up to grab Gerald's paper, tearing it into pieces. He laughed, "You have no more proof, Grand Duke. You can't catch me just based on the guy who fainted earlier and the kids."

"Unfortunately, your hopes crushed the Marquis. It wasn't a letter you sent to the Uthrian nobility" Gerald coldly replied.

Marquis Lodrey prostrated. His hands gathered and put together the letter he had torn earlier. It was not a letter he wrote. He's tricked. Grand Duke Faust still kept his letter.

"I'm arresting you for human trafficking, Marquis," Gerald continued.

Marquis Lodrey got up, tried to run. Gerald pulled the Marquis and smacked his nape unconscious.

Now the work here is done. The rest investigated the residence of Marquis Lodrey for further evidence.

There was only one more person who had to be dropped in order for him to become more famous. Pontiff.
