Chapter 44 The Temple Involved

Isabella arrived at the temple. He pretended to pray while observing the situation in the temple area. The prayer hall and the pastor's residence are separated by a door guarded by two priests. 

The door was located outside the room and was lined by a fairly high wall. Isabella waited for the right opportunity to make the two priests faint and go inside without making anyone suspicious. The two priests yawned. Feeling this was the right opportunity, Isabella was about to hit their nape. However, his body was restrained, like someone was pulling his hand.

His hand was led to a tree near a wall far from the door. A person suddenly appeared while holding Isabella's hand. Isabella was shocked to see the man's face.

"What are you doing?" dale asked while taking Isabella's hand off.

"No, what are you doing?" ask Isabella back.

"I'm just stopping you from doing something that could cause people to suspect, Countess," Dale replied.

"Why are you here then?" Isabella felt uneasy because it seemed like Dale followed her wherever she went.

"I know what you're thinking. It's really a coincidence. I was investigating the temple and saw the person who was going to cause chaos" Dale said.

"I will not cause chaos" replied Isabella.

"By making the priest guarding there faint will cause chaos, Countess. Then, you'll get caught quickly."

Isabella could not reply to Dale. All his words are right. He cannot enter in carelessly. Although Dale looks like he's playing around, but he's a smart guy.

Dale took off his robe and put it on Isabella. Isabella is beaming at Dale's actions.

"What's this?" Isabella brushed off Dale's hand, trying to tie her cloak to Isabella.

"This is a robe that can make people invisible." Dale tried to tie his robe back.

"Then, what about you? Are you going to leave this investigation to me?" Isabella immediately put away Dale's hand, and hooked it up herself.

"No, I'll do the investigation with you. I can use busting magic even if it can't last long."

"Well, we're investigating the same thing, aren't we? Looking for the guy who has the wine card."

"It's true."

Isabella immediately went to the wall. He was in front of her. Dale extended his hand. Isabella is confused by the tower's witch's actions. Isabella did not understand the signal. Dale clasped Isabella's hand. Isabella is shocked to see Dale act. Isabella tried to take the tower's witch's hand off. However, the grip was not released.

"Why are you holding my hand?" ask Isabella cynically.

"Although not visible does not mean we can penetrate objects. Are you going to climb this wall? I'm helping you use magic to get behind these walls. Oh yes you can wear the horse now so as not to be seen, Countess."

Isabella grumbled as she did as Dale asked. It becomes invisible. Dale follows Isabella by activating her magic. 

The tower witch put her free hand against the wall. He immediately used magic to move behind the wall.

The wall that was in front of Isabella disappeared into a vast grass courtyard. The wall is now behind him.

"So can this be removed now?" Isabella raised her hand that Dale was holding.

"Of course." Dale took his hand off Isabella.

"Should we split up?" ask Isabella.

"We better investigate together. This magic does make me invisible, but there is a time limit. I need someone who can keep me out of harm's way, if I'm suddenly seen," Dale suggested.

"Alright," replied Isabella briefly.

They walked towards the building where the priests lived. Isabella uses her aura to sense Dale's existence so that they don't collide with each other. 

Dale walked in front of Isabella, occasionally looking back to make sure Isabella was still following him. He used magic so that his eyes could see a translucent person. 

They reached the building and passed through a passageway. Dale was beginning to look and he didn't notice it walking straight ahead towards the intersection. Isabella pulled him without cue to hide. Dale's body hit the wall. Dale was surprised, but understood Isabella's actions for saving him. Isabella did not apologize for thinking of him in return for always bothering her. Isabella saw the situation around, there were still many people passing by. 

They waited but things were not getting safer. Until Dale can use the magic to disappear again. It took him a minute to use it. He patted Isabella on the shoulder and walked in front. They arrived in front of the dining room. Because Dale was afraid of suddenly disappearing, he hid briefly in a quiet place. Then cancel the magic to rest. Isabella whispered to him, "I'm going inside."

"I'll catch up with you later" Dale replied in a whisper.

Isabella easily entered the dining room because the door was open. He heard the conversation there.

"Piere, where's your roommate?" ask the gray-haired man.

"She's not feeling well, I'll bring her some food later to the room" said the person with dark brown hair. He is Piere

"She looks messed up, I've never seen her talk to anyone else these few days. While praying he also looked agitated," the gray-haired man added.

"I'll try to talk to him" Piere said, finishing his meal and then coming out. He brought bread and a bowl of soup.

Isabella realized that Dale was standing next to her. He was too focused on hearing the conversation. He was trying to follow that guy, and so was Dale. 

Piere's roommate is suspicious. Suddenly withdrawing from the crowd as if terrified.

They reached Piere's room. Piere's in. Dale immediately held Isabella's hand again for the two of them to move inside. Isabella refused to join hands but was forced to investigate.

They're already inside. There are two beds there. One was empty, while the other was screwed by someone curled up.

"I brought food, Paul," Piere said as he offered food.

The person did not move at all and was still curled up. 

"Please finish the meal and come out and don't be in the room and everyone is worried about you" Pierre said.

"Where's that stuff?" said the man suddenly.

"What do you mean by this? If this food." The confused Piere pointed to the food that was in front of him.

"Not food but something that calms me down."

Isabella and Dale instantly knew what the person meant. Banned drug. Now they know who the people in the temple are using the drug. 

"You better eat that way you'll be calmer. I'll go take care of you." Piere had no idea what his friend meant.

Isabella and Dale immediately left the room. They intend to go back and report this to Gerald and Leticia. 

"Who are you?" shouted Piere while pointing at Dale.

Dale's magic is gone. Anyone can see it. Isabella could not save him from this situation. It's been discovered.
