Chapter 7 The Palace is No Longer Safe

Leticia was in her study daydreaming. He was confused about what he should do. She wants to take revenge on her husband, but in what way? She couldn't possibly make her husband jealous by being in a relationship with another man, because Braun didn't love her. He can make Braun suffer by killing Charlotte, but Leticia's life will not go smoothly. 

The only way out is to get Braun to abdicate. 

Leticia is confident she can survive in seclusion. However, he had no loopholes that Leticia could exploit. He leads cleanly.

Leticia can reveal the conspiracy between duke hilbright and Braun. The evidence can be obtained with the help of his friends. However, there is a chance that Braun will win because he has stronger support. Braun was able to insist that the Emperor died of illness. 

Door opens. Leticia's daydreams instantly crumbled. Judith came to see her mother. He immediately ran over to Leticia. 

A picture was shown to Leticia. In the picture are two men and a woman holding hands. There's a girl in the middle. Next to the man was a woman holding a child. Leticia tried to smile at the picture of her son.

"How's my picture mom?"

"It's good, honey."

"Thank you Mother. I hope our family can be happy forever."

Leticia's smile faded. He tried to smile back. Hope is impossible to live. The underlying falsity of the imperial family will not bring happiness.

Leticia saw Judith's arm look red. He immediately took the picture and held Judith's hand.

"Have you fallen, baby?" Leticia's hand groped Judith's reddened arm with another hand.

"I'm fine Mom." Judith swiftly pulled her arm from Leticia.

"Do you need to call a doctor to check on you?" ask Leticia to be worried.

"No need to be better on your own." Judith held onto her still-reddened arm.

"Are you sure?" 

Judith nodded. He gave up and hugged his daughter. 

"If you have a problem tell mom?" Leticia stroked the nape of her daughter.

"Good, Mommy." Judith was drowning in Leticia's warm embrace.

Leticia felt her daughter was hiding something. His daughter's arms were flushed like they had been hit by something, but who did it? Was that fellow not afraid of harming the imperial family?

Leticia will avenge that guy.

Rose is investigating people who may have hurt Judith. He's been investigating people suspected of injuring Leticia's daughter. Braun, Charlotte, the palace ladies, even the entire palace has Rose investigated. There are no satisfactory results. 

Braun did not hurt Judith, he rarely met her. Charlotte only met Judith in public, there was no way she would hit Judith because it would tarnish her image. The palace attendants serving Judith were also surprised to see that. Rose suspects them of lying, he threatens them with fire magic. But they didn't do it. 

Rose walked towards Leticia's palace, to relay the results of her investigation. He heard two women talking. 

"The first princess is very stupid," said the bespectacled brown-haired woman.

"Truely, studying manners alone cannot. I often punish her," said the wavy black haired woman.

"I also often punish him. He is also easily fooled. I forbid to report to her mother she also complied. I also said that her mother would definitely feel burdened because of her pathetic son."

Rose stopped immediately. He approached the two women. The two women instantly fell silent.

"What are you talking about?" Rose looked at them sharply.

They escaped Rose. Rose used her magic, making them unable to move.

"I asked again. What are you guys talking about?"

"I'm sorry, we're Palace Witches. We won't do it again" said the woman with glasses 

"Yes, we promise." The long-haired woman nodded her head.

Rose unleashed her magic. They ran straight away. 

Rose took a long breath. He should have brought them to Leticia, but Rose did not want to interfere with Leticia's work. Actually he came without telling Leticia.

There's one place Rose hasn't been looking, which is the meeting room. Looks like Leticia's got a guest. Rose immediately headed to that place.

Rose's eyes met with one of Leticia's blue-haired bodyguards and green-eyed emerald-like, Dean. Dean was standing guard alone in front. Meanwhile, several other guards were inside.

"Is the Queen having guests?"

"Yes, the Palace Witch."

"I think I should wait here." Rose stood beside Dean. He would wait until Leticia's meeting with her guests was over. 

"Is there anything you want to tell the Queen? I can deliver it."

"No, I want to tell you this myself."

After the meeting was over, some nobles came out from the meeting room. Rose used magic so as not to be seen in their eyes. This magic only lasts a short time, usually the magician prefers to use a magic hood so as not to look longer. Dean was confused because the person next to him disappeared, but that was none of his business. The job of the guard is to control his employer.

Rose's sudden existence shocked Dean. Rose apologized to Leticia's bodyguard, then immediately entered the room to meet Leticia.

"What's up Rose? You can contact me through magic stones only. Did you wait long." Leticia looks surprised by Rose's arrival.

"Not too long. I'm sorry for coming so suddenly, Leticia. I want to talk about something important."

"About what?"

Rose told me what she heard. Leticia clasped tightly onto the pen in her hand. His face turned upset.

"Thank you for your help Rose. I always owe you."

"No problem Leticia. I'm sorry for not bringing them in right away."

"No, you've helped a lot. They can quibble on the grounds of just rubbing. I'm gonna ask Judith about this."

Leticia goes to see Judith.

Leticia quickly finished her work. Then go to his daughter's room.

Judith was playing with her ladies. Those in Judith's room were shocked by Leticia's hasty arrival.

Leticia asked the ladies to leave the two of them alone. Judith was confused by Leticia's actions.

"Are you okay, honey?"

"I'm fine, Mother."

"Are your teachers being nice to you?"

Judith was silent at Leticia's words. 

He replied stammeredly, "Me-They're being nice."

Leticia exhaled, looking annoyed. "Mom doesn't want to hear lies, Judith."

This was the first time Judith had seen her mother angry. 

"I'm sorry Mom. I can't tell Mom. I don't want to be a pathetic kid." Judith's eyes began to tear.

"You're not pathetic, honey. You can tell mom everything." Leticia hugged Judith.

Judith recounted the actions of the teachers done to her. If Judith did something wrong or answered something, she would be beaten. If he complains, he will be punished even harder.

Not just that. Judith's teachers taught her wrongly. The manners teacher taught him to bow to anyone, especially himself. A princess shouldn't bow to just anyone, the Imperial Princess just needs to bow to the person whose position is higher. Such as Emperor, Empress, Grand Duke or Grand Duchess, and Duke or Duchess. 

History teacher tells history wrongly. The Empire was founded by Emperor Keith, the grandfather of Braun. However, the teacher had mis-taught Leticia. 

Leticia clutched her daughter tightly. The palace is no longer safe.
