The Queen Who Shares Love

The Queen Who Shares Love
Chapter 41 The Weird Trader

A shabby man in a quirky shirt sat in front of Gerald. The bag he had originally carried on his back was placed below. Isabella looked at the man in confusion. Gerald though his cold expression also looked confused. Gerald codes Isabella to get close to him. Isabella.

Gerald whispered in Isabella's ear. "What is this man really the Empress, Isabella?"

Isabella was actually also doubtful but the person in front of them was the merchant Leticia was talking about.

"Right, sir," whispered Isabella.

Isabella returned to her prepared attitude. Gerald looked at the man again. Do not judge a book by its cover. Gerald was trying to apply that to the person in front of him.

"What's your name?"

"I'm Jasper, Mr. Grand Duke."

"So what good stuff can you show me?"

Jasper quickly opened his bag. He put his things on the table.

"This is a black root that can cure all sorts of diseases. This was the strongest steel ore in the Empire. Then there's-"

"Enough," said Gerald.

Gerald held his head. Is the Empress playing a trick on him? Why would he send a con man to his place?

Isabella sees Jasper upsetly reminding him of someone. One more annoying guy who can only talk.

"Sorry, you don't seem to like these things. I've got one item that will catch your attention, Master Grand Duke." Jasper was looking for that stuff in his bag.

Gerald shortened, turning his face away from the man who was about to deceive him. Isabella closed her eyes tightly, hoping that the person in front of her would not accept her Master's anger.

Jasper found the stuff. He took out a paper containing powder.

"This is a powder that can absorb aura, Master Grand Duke."

Gerald turned back to the man. Isabella opened her eyes immediately.

"Then can I try it?" ask Isabella.

"Of course, Countess." Jasper gave the powder to Isabella.

Isabella accepts. He let out his aura and it was true that the powder absorbed his aura. He nodded once at Grand Duke Faust. Then, return the powder to Jasper.

"So what, Master Grand Duke?" jasper asked a little scared.

"Did you also sell it to Count Landell?"

"Right, Count Landell bought this powder in bulk. How do you know, Master Grand Duke?" Jasper's a little confused.

"Count Landell made an item out of the powder and I ordered it" Gerald honestly replied.

"It turns out so."

Jasper was disappointed that there were no more items he could show Grand Duke Faust. The goods on the table do not attract the attention of prospective customers. He must be heartbroken to go home empty-handed. Better than his life.

"The strongest steel ores in the Empire, do you have any finished products?" ask Gerald.

Gerald began to trust the person in front of him. These traders speak honestly.

"Ah, there is in the form of protective sleeve. Wait a minute, Sir." Jasper eagerly searched for that arm protector in his bag.

He gave it to Isabella. Isabella checked the armband. Then give it to Gerald. Gerald examined it, the protective structure of the arm was stronger than his. He returned it to Jasper.

"I hope you sold the steel ore to Count Landell. I'll buy equipment for my troops in Count Landell" Gerald said.

"Thank you, Mr. Grand Duke." Jasper was still surprised to be able to only answer briefly.

"Are you friends with other traders?"

"Of course, Mr. Grand Duke."

"If there's any suspicious information you can report it to me, I'll pay for it. Then, if there's a good item I'll buy it. One more thing, don't tell anyone that we have anything to do with First Empress."

The joy in Jasper's heart he couldn't cover. His big smile was on his face. Not only was he able to return home safely, but he also gained the trust of Grand Duke Faust. He said goodbye while humming cheerfully.

Gerald and Isabella looked at the strange merchant. However, he is trustworthy. Gerald and Isabella return to Grand Duke Faust's office.

"Isabella try to call, Empress. There's something I want to say to him" Gerald ordered.

"Good, Sir."

Isabella. He lit his magic stone.

A voice far from the palace. "Actually I intend to contact you, but you are the one who contacted me first. What's up, Countess?"

"Are you busy, Empress? There is something my Master wants to say" said Isabella.

"No, I'm not busy. I have new information too."

Isabella handed her magic stone to Grand Duke Faust.

"I've only been able to contact you since I've been busy taking care of Count Blaire's case, the Empress. There is one item that is not related to the case, but is very suspicious, namely the agreement with the person initialed P. I found it at Blaire's residence. The letter of agreement asked Count Blaire to give a large amount of money to P. The letter is the same as the one I found at Gremaroft's residence" Gerald said.

"What's the content of the agreement just asking for money, Grand Duke?" ask Leticia.

"Right, there's nothing else."

Leticia fell silent, then said, "Can I see it? I'll be there now."

"Alright, Empress. I'm in the study."

Leticia appeared suddenly in Grand Duke Faust's study. Isabella took the letter of agreement that her Master meant, giving the letter to Leticia. Leticia read. The letter of agreement must have been made by the person with the initials P, visible from the same handwriting. There was no other information Leticia had obtained. Everything is the same as Gerald said.

"Can I keep this one? I'll try to think about it in the palace." Point Leticia at the letter.

"Please. So what do you want to say, Empress?"

Leticia took one of the letters of agreement, courtesy of Viscount Gremaroft. The Viscount no longer needed him because he was in prison. He was in prison for life. Meanwhile, Count Blaire's fate was on the trigger.

"I heard that the wine card was once in the temple."

Isabella and Gerald were a little surprised.

"That means there are temple members who have used it or are still using it" Gerald said

"The possibility of it is very great, Grand Duke." Leticia nodded.

"Then, you're asking us to investigate this?" Gerald began to understand Leticia's thoughts little by little.

"That's right, we will also investigate the temple. And another one, please investigate Marquis Rainster. I heard he was once uncontrollably angry at Count Blaire. Then, make the Rainster Family be on your side, Grand Duke," Leticia said.

"Isn't the Rainster Family now on edge, Empress?" However, he did not fully understand.

"It's true, but the first son of Marquis Rainster can definitely help you, I'm sure. The military power of the Rainster Family can also help in launching a rebellion, Grand Duke," Leticia said.

"Alright, Empress."

Leticia retreats and soon disappears in the presence of Gerald and Isabella. Gerald stared long ago at the place where Leticia was standing. Isabella tried to understand what her master was thinking, but could not.

"Send a letter notifying my arrival to Marquis Rainster, Isabella" Gerald ordered.

"Good, Sir. What about the temple investigation, sir?" asked Isabella and reminded her of the temple.

"I'll investigate after I get to Rainster's residence."

"May I investigate the temple, sir?"

"Alright, that's a good idea too."

"Thank you, sir."

Count Blaire's investigation must have made Gerald tired. Isabella wanted to reduce the burden from her master. All this time, he had been in the Faust residence to do the work that his master had left behind while conducting the investigation. At least now, he hopes to help. Helping people who only consider him an adjutant.
