Chapter 6 The Unity of Heart

"Leticia, I've been informed of Braun and Charlotte's relationship."

Rose called Leticia at night. Leticia swallowed her saliva. Prepare your heart for the worst news.

"Well, what did you get Rose?"

There was Rose's voice breathing out. It doesn't seem like good news.

"They've been in contact for a long time even before you became the Crown Princess. I got this information from my men."

Leticia's guess is right. Braun and Charlotte's relationship has been going on for a long time. 

"What about after marrying me? Are they still in touch?"

Leticia tightly grasped the magic stone that was in her hand.

Everything is planned. Braun needed support to kill the emperor, so he married Leticia. Braun doesn't love Leticia, but he can't kill Leticia if he wants to be with Charlotte. The strong support of Duke Hilbright will be gone.

The way for Braun and Charlotte to get married is Leticia's weakened uterus. There are two possible doctors who give false diagnoses or drugs that can make Leticia barren. 

But what if Judith is a man. All of Braun and Charlotte's plans are going to fail. No, it was very likely that Leticia's son would be killed. Because Judith was born a woman, Braun was able to have a wife return to bear a son.

Leticia was goosebumps thinking about that. She could not imagine a life without her child.

Braun could not quickly have another wife because it would tarnish his image. He waited for four years to find out how to circulate the barren Leticia gossip. Or most likely the drug reactions that accumulate only show results after four years.

There were several ways the medicine entered Leticia's body. First, it is most likely included in the food or drink that Leticia eats daily. Second, Leticia unconsciously drank it herself. However, Leticia had never taken any medicine that could make her barren. The medicine he took.

Leticia started to realize something. He immediately headed to the dressing table to take fertility-enhancing drugs. She's been drinking this since giving birth to Judith. He never stopped taking the medicine prescribed by the palace doctors for four years. Then, the drug doesn't work. She's not pregnant. It's even barren. 

Most likely this drug is not a fertility enhancer drug. This was the medicine that made Leticia barren. To check it he needs to ask the doctor about this medicine. He couldn't possibly ask the palace doctor. He had to get out of the palace, find a doctor in the city who could be trusted.

The atmosphere of the capital is very crowded. Judith came with her mother and a few bodyguards. Her mother wanted to buy her a new dress. She is not really interested in new dresses. He was just curious about the view of the capital. It was the first time he left the palace. His eyes twinkled, his feet running to and fro. Leticia warns Judith to be careful not to fall. 

Dean felt exhausted following the behavior of his employer's son. However, he feels happy because Judith's funny behavior can make him forget his fatigue. 

Judith almost entered all the shops in the capital. His mother bought him everything he wanted. Until they reach the store that sells clothes. The store clerk showed various models of dresses for girls. Leticia asked them to try out all the models of the dress to her daughter. 

All the dresses fit on her daughter. He was confused to choose. In the end, he chose everything. A sleep-weary Judith is carried by Dean. Leticia asks all her guards to guard Judith, while she rushes to buy a hood in the market. He reasoned to return to the boutique store to discuss the Judith dress that would be delivered to the palace.

After buying a hood, Leticia put it on. He went to the doctor's clinic he passed while traveling with Judith. 

The doctor's click place is inside the alley. There is a sign indicating that it is a doctor's clinic. Leticia went into the doctor's clinic. 

The doctor gasped at Leticia's arrival. He raised his guard against Leticia. To others Leticia looked suspicious. 

"I want you to check the contents of this drug?" Leticia took out a fertility enhancer that was in a bottle. Put it on the doctor's desk.

"Where did you get this medicine?"

"You don't need to know. How long will I know the results?"

"A little over five days."

"It's payment. If more you can take it."

The doctor was surprised by the payment he received. He realized that this suspicious person in front of him was a noble.

"Wait, should I send the results to your residence?"

"No need, I'll come to this place in five days."

Leticia did not want to see any suspicious letters addressed to her. Braun or Charlotte may have known the plan. If caught, something bad might happen to Leticia.

Leticia immediately left the doctor's clinic. He immediately made his hood and immediately headed for his carriage. He did not want anyone to suspect his actions.

Leticia went to the doctor's clinic secretly. He was dressed like a regular citizen. However, he wore a horse so that no one would recognize him. The doctor was already used to Leticia's arrival. 

Leticia immediately asked for the medicine she brought five days ago. "How did it go?"

"I checked it. This medicine may make the person taking it barren. The dose is a little but if taken continuously then the effect will be even greater. How long have you been taking this medicine?"

Leticia had no intention of answering. It turns out Leticia's guess is right. Fertility enhancer drugs he drank turned out to be the cause of her barren. He had been drinking it for four years. 

"Is there any chance of getting pregnant after taking this medicine?"

"If pregnant the possibility of the fetus will have a miscarriage. The chances of giving birth are very slim."

Leticia immediately left the doctor's clinic. The doctor was astonished by the nobility's own reckless behavior. 

Leticia was silent in front of the doctor's clinic. He never wanted all this to happen. He just wants to be happy with his family. He just wants to get the love he never got.

However, his happiness with Braun was a fake. As soon as she realized all the secrets her husband had, she felt like she had fallen into the deepest despair. The suffering he experienced was caused by the person he once loved.

He could not forgive Braun. It will make him suffer. It will take revenge on Braun.
