The Queen Who Shares Love

The Queen Who Shares Love
Chapter 29 Leticia's Order

Emilia looked at Leticia nanar. He wanted to say something but a throat in his chest. He could not refuse the orders of his master. Although the order made him unable to work anymore.

He wants to continue working so that his family's financial condition is stable. His father was a blacksmith. Unfortunately his father's blacksmith's business wasn't much of a customer. His father's income could not be sufficient for daily life, because his meagre business profits were used to pay workers in the blacksmith's workshop. His father could not bear to fire the workers, because there were families who depended on them. Emilia is determined to help her father make money. He was the first child. He felt responsible for supporting his family. His eight-year-old younger brother could only help out with small jobs in the blacksmith's workshop. Emilia tried her luck by applying for a job at the palace. He was happy when he was accepted. He is grateful to have a kindly boss. He worked carefully so as not to disappoint his employer. However, it seemed like he made a big mistake until the First Empress fired him.

Emilia received a letter from the First Empress with a heavy heart.

"Send this message to Count Landell, I ask him to make me an item. This is the fee maybe it can help your family's financial condition, Emilia." Leticia gave Emilia a bag of money.

"Thank you, Empress." Emilia received the pouch with both hands. Eyes glazed. He tried to hold back his tears.

"I'll give you three days off to meet your family, after which you'll have to go back to work and bring the things I ordered" added the First Empress.

It turns out that his employer didn't fire him. Emilia's tears flowed as she constantly thanked him.

Leticia tried to calm Emilia down. Emilia poured out all her prejudices to Leticia. Her personal dayang thought Leticia would fire her.

This is not the first time Leticia has been misunderstood. Leticia decided from now on she would directly express what she meant to her subordinates, so that events like Dean and Emilia did not happen again.

Emilia's cries began to subside.

"I promise to return, Empress. I'll serve you until the end of life."

"Thank you, Emilia."

Emilia resigned herself to immediately pack her things.

Leticia changed clothes to go out of the palace. He took his magic stone for teleportation.

The scenery in Leticia's room changed instantly into the capital. It was almost night, the sunlight was golden afternoon. Leticia walked over quickly hoping the destination store didn't close. He came to a shop that sold weapons.

"Is there an artificial sword from Count Landell's blacksmith workshop?" ask Leticia to the shop owner.

"It looks like there is, let me find it first." The store owner went to the back to look for the item Leticia was looking for.

No need to wait for long, the shopkeeper came out with a sword.

Leticia immediately paid for the sword then immediately left while carrying it. The store owner called Leticia because of the money paid mostly. Leticia actually heard the shop owner call her, but pretended not to hear. He had to hurry back to the palace. Leticia headed to a quiet place then activated her magic stone.

***

Leticia chose the letter addressed to her. Most tea invitations were held in the residence of other nobles. At least he had to come to fulfill that invitation. There might be important information he could get.

Leticia read one of the letters with the wax seal she was familiar with. Dale had finished the magic stone that Leticia had requested. Then just give this stone to Isabella and Grand Duke Faust.

There was a knocking on the door. Emilia walked into Leticia's office.

"Thank you for the leave that you gave the Empress, today I will start working again. Here's a reply from my father and the item you requested, Empress." Emilia gave her father's letter and a small wooden box to Leticia. Leticia accepts both.

He opened a letter from Count Landell.

Count Landell was grateful for the order Leticia had requested and for the payment she had given. Emilia's father promises to keep this transaction a secret and hopes for Leticia's health.

"My mouth is tightly closed, Empress." Emilia looked down obediently.

***

Leticia came to a bar, the sword she bought was hidden under her cloak. Isabella had been waiting for Leticia in front of the bar. Previously Leticia had sent a letter to Isabella to meet with Grand Duke Faust. In the letter Leticia was not written the name of Grand Duke Faust, to prevent suspicion if anyone read the letter. He only wrote asking to meet Isabella to talk about Judith. They use a pre-agreed code that indicates Leticia wants to meet with Gerald. Gerald's the one who set his place in this bar.

They're inbound. The condition of the bar is very quiet, this is because Gerald has bought the bar. Isabella escorts Leticia to a hidden room. Gerald has been waiting for Leticia in it.

They were in that hidden room. The room was very large and empty. There were only three seats here, which the three of them occupied. There was no other furniture besides the chair.

"I brought the example." Leticia pulled out a sword from her hiding. He stood thrusting the sword at Isabella.

Leticia intends to ask Gerald to supply weapons from Count Landell's iron workshop. He bought the sword so that Gerald could judge the quality of Count Landell's sword.

Isabella stood up, received the sword. And gave it to his master. Gerald looked at each corner of the sword intently. He stood up trying to swing the sword Leticia was carrying.

"What do you think, Grand Duke?" ask Leticia.

"The sword structure is solid, not too heavy or light" Gerald explained.

"I have another interesting item made by Count Landell." A smooth round-shaped stone was removed from Leticia's pouch.

Leticia gave it to Isabella. Isabella was a little confused by the item Leticia had given her, but still gave it to her Master.

"What'sthis? This stone is not a magic stone. What's the use, Empress?" Gerald was confused by the stone in his hand.

"This stone can absorb the aura, then channel it to the sword so that the attack will be stronger. You can try it, Grand Duke," Leticia replied.

Gerald let out his aura. Leticia's words were right. His aura was absorbed on the stone.

"I will try this stone at home, fighting an attack here will definitely cause damage and commotion" Gerald said.

"If interested. You can order a sword with a place for that stone with Count Landell, Grand Duke."

"I'll think about it."

Gerald gave the sword back to Leticia. Leticia received the sword.

"Isabella, try to check the sword's endurance" Gerald ordered.

Isabella draws out her sword, then attacks Leticia.

Reflexively, Leticia repelled Isabella's attack with the sword in her hand. There was no time to be surprised, he was attacked continuously. However, all attacks aimed at him could be repelled.

Isabella let out her aura, amplifying her attack. Leticia was still able to fend it off with great difficulty. Isabella exerted all her strength on her attack this time. Leticia repelled the attack with all her might. Leticia's sword started to crack slightly.

Isabella stopped her attack. He nodded at Gerald marking the sword made by Count Landell, having good endurance.

However, the response from Grand Duke Faust was slightly different from what Leticia and Isabella thought. "Your movement is too rigid, Empress. If you're in a situation that's ready to threaten your real life, you can get killed" Gerald said coldly.
