Chapter 78 Family

"I'm sorry, Mother. I should have believed in Mom."

Leticia took off her embrace.

"No, it's not your fault, honey. It's also my fault I hid it all." Leticia caressed her daughter's face.

"You're getting thinner. Let's eat the food quickly."

Leticia is pouring porridge for her daughter. Judith smiled and ate it. He saw his mother's face also getting thinner. His mother must have been so worried that she didn't eat.

"Have you eaten? Mom's getting thinner now." Judith held her mother's hand.

Leticia directed the hand Judith held onto her cheek. "Already, darling. Mom's okay."

"Mom's gonna sleep with me tonight, isn't she?"

"Of course, I'll keep you company, honey." Leticia kissed her daughter's forehead.

Judith replied by kissing her mother's cheek. "Thank you, Mother."

Leticia was now sitting next to Judith who was leaning on the bed. He leaned his head against Judith's head while hugging her from the side.

"Mother loves you Judith."

"I love you too."

Judith asks Leticia everything she knows about her father and Charlotte's relationship. Leticia told me everything. Leticia also recounted her plans and her working relationship with Grand Duke Faust to stage a rebellion. Judith was surprised to hear that. He regretted that his anger covered his ears to hear the truth. He kept apologizing to his mother. Leticia has forgiven him.

Day has become night.

They sleep side by side. Judith asked, "Mom will stay with me after this?"

"Of course, don't you want to?"

"I want as long as there's a mother beside me."

"Maybe there will be different from a palace filled with luxury."

Leticia intends to live in a peaceful village. His mind will be fresher and can forget all the problems he has ever experienced.

"Wherever it doesn't matter as long as there's a mother."

"After you recover properly. Just we're leaving. The emperor gave a leniency just until that."

Hearing the Emperor's name. Judith was silent for a moment.

"Does Mother love the Emperor?"

Leticia opened her eyeballs. He smiles. "Mother loves him, but I'll stay with you. You need Mom more and I need you too, honey."

Judith was conscious despite her mother's smile to be holding something back. While with her mother smiled, but never looked as happy as she was with Gerald. Will his mother be happy with him? Judith could not ask this.

Judith recovered in a few days. However, that meant they had to get out of the palace. The day is today.

Isabella called Dale. Isabella became the Emperor's aide. He stayed by Gerald's side.

"Are you coming here to see Leticia and Judith go?" ask Isabella.

"I'll come, just relax. Although I can't bear to see Leticia and the Emperor. It's not because I still love him," Dale jokingly said.

"They'll be in the throne room later." Isabella had no intention of responding to Dale's joke.

Isabella was troubled to see the fate of her best friend and master who could not unite.

"I'm sorry, this is no time for jokes" Dale replied softly.

He tried to encourage Isabella. Even though he himself was also agitated.

The magic stone connecting the two of them dimmed.

Rose remained the Imperial Magician Leader. Gerald chose it because of its prowess. Rose will select the palace witch in earnest during her tenure.

Rose met Dean as she walked towards the throne room. 

"So, how do you feel about being the commander of the palace army," Rose asked Dean.

Dean became commander of the palace forces. He replaced the old commander Gerald had killed. In fact, he was a little hesitant because of his lacking ability. However, he tried to do his job well.

"Actually I want to keep protecting the Empress and Princess, but they won't allow me. They asked me to stay in the palace" replied Dean.

"Don't be sad, I'll take you to see them once in a while. Then, Leticia's personal lady-in-waiting will take care of them."

Emilia will serve Leticia and Judith for life. He will follow them wherever they go. Without payment, he will serve them. Emilia had already told the family about this. They all agree.

Rose has arrived at the halfway room. Gerald sat in the Emperor's seat. Isabella was on the right side of the room, while Rose and Dale were on the left. Dean's waiting outside. They're waiting for Leticia and Judith.

Leticia and Judith had entered the room. They bowed in greeting to the Emperor.

Gerald stood looking at Leticia trying to strengthen his heart for their separation. Then he delivered his word.

"I have become Emperor. The Imperial Family was supposed to die before. However, because of your services I give you leeway to isolate yourself. Now, you are not allowed to bear the name Houllem."

"Well, Your Majesty," Leticia and Judith replied simultaneously.

"You can go" Gerald commanded.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," said Leticia.

Both raised their heads. Leticia looked at Gerald, remembering the events they had together. He wanted to forget it, because when he remembered it sadness entered his heart. The fact that they can't be together.

Everyone in the room looked at them with pity. Gerald sat back in his chair.

Leticia took Judith out of the room. Until the middle of the journey Judith took off Leticia's hand. He's speechless. Leticia turned towards her daughter with a puzzled look.

"Will you be happy if you stay with me?" ask Judith.

"Of course I'll be happy, honey," Leticia replied with a smile.

"Why then is there sadness in Mom's eyes?"

Leticia flinched but kept smiling. His daughter always knew how he felt. "Because you have to let go of your other loved ones" Leticia replied.

Judith took Leticia by the hand, but not to the exit. He directed Leticia to the throne seat. Everyone who was there was agape at seeing this. 

Judith took off her arm and let Leticia and Gerald touch each other. Judith unites the grasp of their hand. Leticia and Gerald are shocked by Judith's attitude.

"Then stay with your loved ones" Judith said.

"Mom wants to stay with you, baby." Leticia did not want to part with her daughter.

"I'll also stay with Mother and Emperor." Judith smiled there was no feeling of sadness or anger. He really wanted to stay with both of them.

Leticia. He held back his tears that wanted to come out by adjusting his breath.

"What about your goal?" ask Gerald.

"I still hate you, but not to the point of wanting to kill you. I don't want to see my mother hurt because of me anymore."

Gerald was impressed by Judith's actions. She wants her mother to be happy even though she has to live with the people she hates. Gerald stroked his head. Judith gasped for not expecting it.

Gerald stood looking into Leticia's eyes. Leticia replied to him with a smile. Gerald smiled. Judith was happy to see her happy mother.

"Ehem, ahem, are you just going to join hands?" Clement Dale.

Leticia's cheeks instantly flushed. "Here is Judith, there's no way I'm going to do that in front of her."

"But, I've seen Mother cuddle with the Emperor, before" said Judith innocently.

Isabella sighed because of Dale's actions. Feeling responsible he approached Judith. "Leave your mother and the Emperor alone, Judith."

"Good, Teacher."

Isabella took Judith out. The curious Judith asked, "What will Mother and Emperor do, Master?"

"You will know when you grow up, Judith," replied Isabella.

They've come out of the throne room. Gerald and Leticia were still staring. However, Gerald was annoyed.

"Until when are you here?" He looked at Dale and Rose.

"Don't Leticia just don't want to be seen by Judith?" answer Rose tengil.

Gerald looked at them sharply. Rose and Dale chuckled as they exited the room.

Now it's just Gerald and Leticia. Gerald stroked Leticia's cheek while smiling.

Leticia holds Gerald's hand on her cheek. "You might regret marrying me. It's hard to have kids. The Nobles will also definitely oppose it," Leticia said.

"I don't care about that. Or do you want to waste your daughter's efforts?" ask Gerald.

"Of course not" Leticia replied with the most beautiful smile.

Gerald widened his smile. He closed his lips to Leticia. He wanted to feel his lover's lips again. This time he would not take it off or hold himself back anymore.

Leticia receives Gerald's passionate kiss. He gripped the Emperor's neck, wanting to feel it more deeply. They don't have to hide anymore.

Both of them kissed to catch their breath. Touching their foreheads while continuing to smile. Leticia was happy. Complete happiness with Gerald and his daughter. Despite not knowing the problems that will hit them, he sure can face it with his new family.
