Leticia took off her hood. He booked a special room because the conversation with Isabella did not want to be heard by other visitors. There was no Leticia bodyguard in the room. Dean's waiting outside the restaurant. Leticia had already notified Isabella by letter to meet her bodyguard. After that, Dean will drive Isabella to Leticia's room.
Leticia's heart was pounding hard. Either because of fear or enthusiasm to meet his best friend. Leticia sighed and exhaled slowly to calm herself down. He looked up at the ceiling preparing his heart when Isabella refused his offer. Or Isabella didn't come.
Clamps...
Leticia looked towards the door. A woman wearing a red shirt covered by a black suit was standing there. He hadn't seen that woman in a long time.
Dean prepares to enter with the woman. Leticia immediately stood up, she asked Dean to wait outside. From the look of Dean's face, he was reluctant to leave his employer with a dangerous aide. Leticia assures Dean that she knows Isabella well.
Dean obeyed Leticia's orders. He closed the door and found an empty place. It was impossible to wait outside the room as it would raise suspicion. He ordered food while observing the room Leticia occupied.
The room was quiet as soon as it was closed. Isabella immediately sat down and so did Leticia. No one starts the conversation. The Desert that Leticia has come to. Isabella observes the food coming, there are some of her favorite deserts. The silence between them returned.
"I know it's been a long time, before I wanted to apologize for what happened at that time."
Isabella looked elsewhere. He didn't see Leticia's eyes. The mistake Leticia made was indeed difficult to forgive, she did not expect to be forgiven.
"That's a long time ago. Even if you're sorry, nothing will change. Let's say what purpose you invited me the truth, Empress." Isabella started to look at Leticia.
Leticia hesitated to say her point. He was silent for a moment to strengthen his heart.
"I want you to teach my daughter the sword, Countess Wollard."
Isabella smiled wryly. "I don't have time to teach your daughter. I've been busy doing chores as Grand Duke Faust's adjutant."
"I know. My daughter is going to Grand Duke Faust's residence to learn to swordplay to save your time."
"Are there no other teachers to teach your daughter, Empress? Isn't there one soldier who's good at teaching your daughter?"
"Only you can teach him, Countess. I've asked the bodyguard to teach myself my daughter, but it seems like the way the sword is not suitable."
Isabella breathed a long breath. He looks increasingly upset.
"Nothing I get from teaching your daughter. One more thing I no longer need money, Empress."
Leticia's eyes grew bigger. He had expected Isabella to refuse to teach Judith.
"It's not the money he pays, Countess. I offer you something else."
One of Isabella's eyebrows was raised. He was curious about what Leticia had to offer. However, he did not ask further. Whatever it is, he won't teach Leticia's daughter.
"I will help Grand Duke Faust to get the throne" Leticia continued.
Isabella. He doubted what he had heard. The offer Leticia said was far from all her shadows. "What do you mean?"
"Grand Duke Faust has imperial family blood. There's no harm in him sitting on the throne."
"Do you intend to rebel, Empress?"
"It can be said so," Leticia replied steadily.
There was no doubt in Leticia's eyes. Isabella knew about it. Highlight the eyes of his old friend who meant nothing changed from the past.
"I know your relationship with the second Empress and the present Emperor is not good, but there is no benefit from rebelling the Empress."
"I have an advantage. I can be freed from the unsafe palace."
"I've investigated the death of the late Grand Duke Faust. There is a possibility that the late Emperor was behind the death of the late Grand Duke Faust."
"I already know that."
"I will help to restore Grand Duke Faust's reputation. An Emperor must have a good reputation."
Isabella was silent again. His head felt like it wanted to break thinking about what Leticia had in mind.
"At the end of the day it was me who did not benefit, Empress. All you have to offer is to benefit yourself and my Master."
"I know, but you will try to reverse the reputation of Grand Duke Faust to return the favor. In addition, if Grand Duke Faust's reputation begins to improve then your reputation also improves, Countess."
"What if I don't pass it on to my Master?"
"The choice is in your hands, Countess."
Suddenly Isabella's laughter came off. Leticia was silent, waiting for an answer from her old friend. Everything he said looked crazy in the eyes of others. But he sure can make it happen. Provided that Countess Wolard and Grand Duke Faust would cooperate.
"What if I don't want to, Empress?" isabella said in a mocking tone.
Leticia closed her eyes. It was impossible to ask for help from people who still hated him.
"I can't do anything. Whatever your choice I'll accept."
Leticia stand. He intended to leave the room. It almost reached the door.
"You look pathetic, receiving help from the person you threw away," Isabella said suddenly.
Leticia stopped her steps. He was still looking at Isabella.
"In the end, you never considered me a friend though. You just think of me as a business associate. If you consider me a friend, then at least you contacted me in the last few years." Isabella's voice was growing.
Leticia clenched her hands. He turned. "I can't do it, because I know you definitely don't want to get in touch with the person who destroyed your family. By contacting you it means I remind you of the bad events you have been through. I know, my family made you suffer and I just kept quiet to see that. But never once did I consider you a business friend. I'm thinking of you as a friend."
"Omong empty, then at least you replied to the letter of request for help I sent!" scream Isabella.
Leticia looks confused. "You sent a letter?"
"Not once, but many times until I give up sending it." Isabella's tone of voice began to weaken. The anger is starting to subside. He saw Leticia's reaction, who seemed to have no idea what Isabella was talking about.
"I never accepted it" Leticia said softly.
Duke Hilbright. He scorched a letter from Isabella so that it would not be accepted by her daughter. Leticia and Isabella realized that. Isabella held her head. He closed his eyes tightly while exhaling a long breath.
"Your offer will be thought of. However, it all also depends on the decision of my Master," said Isabella.
"Thank you, Countess." Leticia's eyes were a little teary. His old friend started to believe him back.
Leticia lowered her head while trying to hold back her tears from coming out.
Isabella stood up to Leticia. "The Queen should not bow before a person of inferior standing, Leticia."
Leticia looked up at the face of her friend. "I bow in front of a friend, Isabella."
