S2 Chapter 17 Bad Parents

Leonard's parents' faces looked paled. Cold sweat was visible on their foreheads, not expecting to see her son once again. They're bowed.

"I'm sorry, we're Leonard. Not intents" 

Leonard's father's words were interrupted by his son's face.

"I'm sorry? You guys leave behind me debts! I worked hard to slam the bones but you guys easily pretended to be dead! Debt collectors are always looking for me, all this time I've been suffering because of you!" Leonard pointed his finger at his father and mother.

His mother nodded while crying. Leonard's father kept bowing speechless. 

"You're pathetic and don't deserve to be called parents!" 

The people around there looked at the commotion made by the family, as if it had gotten a good spectacle. Leonard paid no heed to the views of others, continuing to let out resentment at his parents. 

The duchess, aware of Leonard's disappearance, immediately sought the new bodyguard. He saw a crowd of people, then approached them. As soon as Leonard's shout rang into his ear, Judith broke through the crowd. 

Leonard's hand was laid on his father. Leonard's father took his son's blow with a chest. He deserves to be treated harshly by his own son. However, the slap did not hit him immediately. The Duchess clutched Leonard's hand.

"Are you crazy about slapping people in public?!" hardik Judith's.

"Don't interfere!" Leonard brushed Judith's hand aside rudely regardless of her status as a subordinate. 

"What's the problem?!" Judith continued to defend the two old men who were behind her.

Leonard's mother cupped Duches' arm while shedding tears. "Leave it, Miss. It's our fault."

"Look! They also confessed!" leonard smiled wryly.

The demeaning gazes of the men pierced the skin of both Leonard's parents. Judith soon realized that she was circulating her gaze to the people who were crowding in order for them to leave. Not wanting to feel the Duchess' anger, the people immediately continued on their way to their respective destinations.

"What's your fault Uncle, Auntie?" ask Judith gently. He calmed Leonard's mother.

"Stop meddling in other people's family affairs!" Leonard removes Judith's hand from her mother.

Judith's eyes widened, alternately staring at Leonard and the old couple. Realizing the reason for the anger of his new bodyguard. However, the tattered clothes and dust-filled bodies of the old couple, did not justify Leonard's actions. Both of his parents suffered.

"Listen to their explanation first" Judith suggested to Leonard.

Knowing the words unable to stop Leonard, Judith hit the heart of her bodyguard. As Leonard groaned in pain, he stuck the neck of the former mercenary until he collapsed.

Judith bowed apologizing towards the old couple. "I'll cool down my bodyguard's head. Uncle and Aunt can meet him tomorrow. Rest at the inn. No need to worry about the cost." 

Leonard's parents received the money bag the Duchess handed over a little confused. They clasped the bag tightly and thanked the Duchess. Not just staying, they can buy food and clothes. Judith's back, which was carrying their child, was getting smaller. They hope Leonard is happy to get a good boss like the Duchess.

Leonard blinked his eyes. He thinks he saw it wrong. It shouldn't be the Duchess's workspace ceiling in plain sight. Hurry up, Leonard gets up. He was holding his neck which was painful.

"Are you awake?" ask Judith who is sitting across from Leonard.

Memories before Leonard began to enter the head. He gripped the Duchess's collar full of emotions.

"Don't interfere in my business!"

"You too often interfere in my affairs." Judith put Leonard's hand away easily. 

"Don't equate me with you!" Leonard pointed at Judith with anger in his heart.

"You don't know anything! Don't defend someone who is clearly guilty!" leonard let go of all his anger.

"There must be a reason your parents left you." 

"You who live full of luxury will not understand my suffering! I have to work hard to pay their debts! And they themselves fled! They should have taken me, instead of letting me be tormented by the loopy noble treasure!" Leonard's entire neck was clearly emblazoned. 

Judith was about to reply to Leonard's words, but the guard would not let her.

"All the nobles are full of ruse, including you! From the roots it is rotten! Your father had two wives, your mother was double made his mistress Emperor, you are disgusting!"

A blow floated into Leonard's face. The former mercenary fell down, turning to the person who hit him. The duchess's airy adjutant wagged her hands with glittering eyes.

"Let me just punish this man, Duchess."
