Chapter 34 The Woman of Dambaan

He had long craved that woman. The woman had saved him from his slump. He will give everything for the woman, even his own life.

That woman made him like this. Think about it all the time. However, he did not dare to have that woman. The woman was too far away that she could not reach. 

The woman will be engaged to someone else. He did not like the woman's fiancee. There was an unpleasant feeling in his heart. He wanted to take the woman with him. But can she be happy with him? After a long thought, he let go of the woman with his fiancee.

The woman is married. He was happy for the happiness of this woman. However, he did not come to the woman's wedding because he did not want to look sad. He did not want to be sad when the woman was happy. Even when the woman and her husband held any party, she did not come. He didn't want to see them both.

However, the woman's husband did not treat her servant woman properly. The woman's husband makes the woman sad all the time. He could only listen to her, because if he took action on the woman's husband, he was afraid that she would hate him. She still expects the love of her husband.

It was time for him to go to the request of his servant woman to investigate the nobleman who committed a suspicious deed. It's time to put on a mask, a man who likes women for information.

Leticia's in her study. He used a magic stone to contact Isabella. 

"Are you busy, Countess Wollard?" ask Leticia formally. He anticipated Grand Duke Faust near Isabella.

"No, what's the need, Empress?" answer Isabella.

"Then are you together with Grand Duke Faust?" 

"Right, Master also listened to this talk, Empress."

"I was informed that Count Blaire was running a new business that was making huge profits in such a short period of time. I've been trying to persuade his wife to tell me what business Count Blaire is doing. However, the result is nil. Countess Blaire kept her mouth shut. Can I ask for your and Grand Duke's help to find out what business Count Blaire is doing along with his place? As we know that Count Blaire donated large sums of money to the temple. Maybe they work together and we can uncover the forbidden magic rituals that the temple performs" Leticia explained at length. He was too nervous to talk without pause. The incident with Gerald the last time made him not want to make any mistakes.

"Alright, we will exchange information through this magic stone alone. If I insist, I will come to the Faust residence" said Leticia a little more calmly.

"Okay, Empress," replied Isabella.

Leticia shut down the magic stone communication. He breathed a sigh of relief. His fear of Grand Duke Faust arose again. He can overcome his fears if circumstances force him. While meeting Grand Duke Faust at the temple, Leticia was able to talk to him both because she had to do that. It is different from passing on information or asking for help. He could ask Isabella to tell him everything she said to Gerald.

There was a tiny body appearing at the door. The tiny body was getting closer to Leticia. Leticia was standing in the guest chair. The tiny body sat next to Leticia.

"What's up, honey?" ask Leticia.

"Yesterday I was able to master the new sword technique again Mother," said Judith proudly.

"You're so great, honey." Leticia stroked Judith's hair.

"Today I invited my friends to come to the palace" Judith said excitedly.

"Good, you should be good friends with your friends, yes. If anyone's bad just tell Mom."

"Of course, Mother." Judith nodded.

Leticia just wishes Judith's friends were sincerely friends with her. There was no hidden intention behind the hospitality shown. Many nobles who bring their children together with other children to establish relationships. Like Leticia and Isabella. Their friendship relationship eventually turned into a sincere friendship, in contrast to their parents.

In front of Dale a woman fell asleep at her bedroom table. He put the woman to sleep, to erase her memory. Not all memories are erased. After finishing her meal, Dale left, looking for other information.
