Chapter 73 The Rebellion

Leticia called Emilia and Dean. Dean has been released as Judith's bodyguard. Now she is back escorting Leticia because she does not want the First Empress without a bodyguard.

Leticia conveys the plan of the rebellion that will begin tomorrow. They're ready to take Leticia's orders.

"Stay alive."

That's his order to them. Emilia who does not have martial skills will hide until she is safe. He'll tell the reinforcements if Leticia gets hurt.

It was likely that Leticia would be taken hostage when Grand Duke Faust attacked, but she would fight back. Dean will protect her, too. 

The problem is Judith. Judith will also be held hostage, but Leticia has no idea where her daughter is during the uprising. Braun and Charlotte must have taken her daughter hostage. Leticia will give a calculation to Charlotte if she dares to hold her hostage and injure her daughter.

Isabella must have notified Dale. Dale had already told Rose about this.

All the preparations are done, just waiting for tomorrow. 

Dean stood guard outside Leticia's room. A voice whispered to him.

"Tomorrow the rebellion begins."

It was Rose's voice. Rose is invisible. Dean nodded slowly.

"There is no need to answer or respond. Leticia and Judith's situation must be very concerning. I wanted to meet them but there were a lot of people watching me. Tomorrow I will turn to attack my men. After all Braun will step down from the throne I will not have to worry about my position anymore. I don't have to pretend to be on their side anymore."

Dean was silent, listening to Rose's story.

"I don't have much time. So I need you to pass this on to Leticia. I'll support everything he does."

Dean understands and will deliver on this. His eyes are straight ahead. 

He suddenly raised his eyeballs. Something touched his lips and he felt a breath on his cheek.

"It's protective magic for you tomorrow. Don't die."

Dean's petrified. He had not expected the imperial magician leader to do that. 

Since when did the witch become interested in him? He hopes to ask after tomorrow's successful uprising.

Gerald's men are ready. Gerald, Isabella, and Clovis wear protective suits made by Count Landell. Count Landell did not participate in this attack because it was not his field. He only supplies weapons and protectors to Gerald.

The arrival of Grand Duke Faust's troops must have reached Braun's ears. Even so, Gerald would not lose.

Gerald gave a warning to attack. All the troops are speeding up. Gerald was leading in front of them. He will go straight to the palace to kill the Emperor.

Marquis Nien saw Gerald's army from a distance. Not wanting his daughter's peace to be disturbed, he immediately attacked Grand Duke Faust.

On the other hand, Duke Hillbright was waiting for Grand Duke Faust's troops to be hit by his trap. He will attack suddenly.

Marquis Nien's army is already in sight. Clovis sped up his horse to fight against him. The troops he led followed him. He let the army led by Isabella and Gerald continue to advance towards the palace. 

Clovis took a bow to shoot Marquis Nien. The arrow he directed hit Marquis Nien's horse. Marquis Nien fell. He ordered his troops to attack. His and Clovis' forces fought each other.

These two leaders fought each other swords to show who was stronger. Marquis Nien's battle experience is more than Clovis's. However, Clovis had a younger and stronger body compared to Marquis Nien.

Clovis was surprised, but managed to avoid it. Marquis Nien immediately lunged at Clovis. This time Clovis was unable to escape. Marquis Nien unsheathed the sword at Clovis without hesitation.

Prangs...

The sword is broken. Dale helped this young Marquis to fight Marquis Nien. Clovis immediately got up and took the sword and thrust it at Marquis Nien. This is the first time he has fought a war. He still thinks this is a mere exercise. Next time he will not hesitate.

Dale immediately destroyed Marquis Nien's army with his magic. With this one of Braun's auxiliaries has fallen. He'll be on his guard to help Isabella. Clovis' opponent was defeated.

Gerald and Isabella approach the palace. The traps that Duke Hillbright had set up were in front of Gerald's forces. Many horses fell in the hole, one of them isabella. Isabella asks Gerald to keep attacking. Gerald nodded, stomping his horse. 

Duke Hilbright's army began to attack. Gerald obliterated the troops that were in front of him with an aura-reinforced slash. The road was wide open and he accelerated his horse. The arrow is pointed at Gerald. One of the tower's witches protects him from attack.  The other witches were lifting the fallen knights into the hole. 

Duke Hilbright attacked Gerald. Gerald can avoid it. Isabella has come out of the hole aided by Dale. He immediately injured Duke Hillbright's horse.

Gerald's bullies have been dealt with, he continues his journey.

Duke Hilbright is up. Dale wants to help Isabella, but her boyfriend forbids her. Isabella wants to avenge herself.

"Didn't you say I'd regret it, Duke? It seems like the one who will regret it is you." - Isabella.

"We don't know the outcome yet, Countess," Duke Hillbright replied furiously.

Isabella attacked Duke Hillbright blindly. Duke Hillbright is overwhelmed by Isabella's attack. Isabella let out her aura and slashed the sword of Duke Hilbright until it split open. Duke Hilbright is down. Isabella's sword was next to Duke Hillbright's neck.

"If Leticia finds out about this, she'll be angry" Duke Hillbright said.

"No he would be happy if his father, who only regarded as a tool, had died" Isabella replied coldly. 

"So you want to avenge the death of the late Count Wollard?"

"It looks like you're already aware of your own mistakes. I thank you for not having to say it."

Isabella immediately swung her sword. Duke Hillbright's head lay on the ground. The expression on Duke Hillbright's face before dying looked terrified.

Isabella finally avenged her father's death. She smiled but her tears flowed. Dale who saw him immediately approached and hugged him. 

Isabella hugged Dale. "With this Leticia will be free."

"true." Dale patted Isabella's back. 

"I thought I'd be happy, but it was mixed" Isabella said.

"Maybe you think of your father at a glance" Dale said.

"That's a point." 

Isabella takes off Dale's arms. He felt a little calm. Then immediately fight the troops who lost their leader. 

The other Gerald knights came up against him after making it out of the hole. The leaderless troops caused uproar and anxiety. They're not threats.

The army led by Isabella defeated Duke Hillbright. They drove to the palace to help their master.

Isabella hopes Gerald can save Leticia and Judith. Hope they're okay.
