Chapter 61 The End of Poppo

The commotion outside made the priests wake up from their sleep. They immediately rushed out to see what was going on. Piere went out with Paul. They saw the Pope who was fighting against the Grand Duke.

All the pastors approached, intending to help the Pope, except for Piere and Paul. Their intentions came to a halt as soon as they saw the magic cast by the Pope. A priest cannot use magic to attack others. Their blessings are used to save and heal people.

The Pope launched a fire attack on Gerald. Gerald avoided. The attack was about the priest who was there. The priest was in pain. No matter what, Poppo continued his attack.

Gerald fended off the attack, protecting the other priest.

"Go away from here!" his yell.

All who saw their fight immediately scattered leaving the place. Piere gives Gerald a blessing before leaving without anyone knowing. Since their distance was quite far, thanks to hers was not too pronounced to Gerald.

The pope made a ground impact that caused some priests to fall. Poppo immediately approached them to kill the person who saw this incident. Gerald arrived in front of him. He obstructed the Pope. The priest who was still standing helped treat the injured priest and then immediately moved away from the place.

Leticia who had just walked out of the basement, saw people running around. He waited for a quiet situation, because if he broke through he would be dragged by the current and fall. Being in a crowd of people panicking like that would actually make him hurt. 

After being deserted, he ran in the opposite direction to the people earlier. He's headed to the backyard of the priest's building.

Leticia sees Gerald still fighting with the Pope. The mutiny there has been damaged by attacks by both the Pope and Gerald. Leticia stood quite a distance away from there, but their fight was still within reach of her eyes. He hides, because if he gets close he will get hurt and even make Gerald protect him. It will be a burden. Had Leticia been stronger or stronger than Isabella, she intended to help Gerald. 

Gerald began to earnestly let out his aura. The use of the aura in a narrow place like the ritual room earlier will actually hurt the people around him. His attack power is very strong. He was afraid that innocent children would be attacked. Being in such a vast place benefits Gerald.

The Pope let out a larger fireball directing it at Gerald. Gerald quickly avoided it. Then retaliate for the Pope's attack. Pope's arm was hit by Gerald's attack. Blood poured from his arm.

The Clear sword and stone made by Count Landell was indeed very powerful. If he still used the old sword maybe he would have trouble injuring Poppo.

Poppo healed his injured arm. Gerald didn't let him rest attacking him back.

The Pope avoided Gerald's attack this time. Then create a needle out of ice, attack Gerald.

Gerald retreated backwards, but the needle scratched his leg and arm. Poppo grinned his attack was successful. His attack was not fatal, but if Grand Duke Faust was continuously injured, he would quickly get exhausted. The long fight cost Gerald dearly.

Gerald realized this, he immediately gathered an aura on his sword. His sword until it glowed reddish.

The sword light belonging to Grand Duke Faust at night was very beautiful. The red color is almost the same as Gerald's eyes.

Despite the injury, Gerald did not feel any pain. Piere's blessing allowed him to continue the fight without being distracted by pain.

Gerald waved his sword firmly. The Pope stopped him because he could not escape. Gerald's attack was so powerful and splintered that the Pope's arm was cut off. His attack penetrated the wall behind the Pope.

The Pope held his arm. A healing blessing was issued to stop the bleeding of his arm. He prostrated.

Gerald approached him, because the Pope's defeat was in sight. 

Leticia was amazed by the power of Grand Duke Faust. Poppo is not an easy opponent. Gerald can beat him with a minor wound.

"You have lost" said Gerald coldly.

"At the same time the other priests will know about my actions. They will be witnesses at the trial. I'm not going to win against you. Arrest me Grand Duke." The Pope thrust his hand forward. He surrendered.

Leticia could not hear their conversation, but Poppo gave up too quickly. Something is suspicious.

"Alright," replied Gerald.

Gerald will drag Poppo to trial and get him sentenced to death. People who sacrifice innocent children should not be pitied.

Gerald sheathed his sword.

Pope smile. He took out an ice needle behind Grand Duke Faust. Gerald had no idea of the danger that lay behind his head.

Leticia was aware of the actions the Pope had taken. He shouted, "Review behind you, Grand Duke!"

Gerald heard Leticia's cry, looking slightly back.

The ice needle was already flying towards him. He immediately moved to the side using his aura.

The ice needle went through Poppo's heart. The evil whale collapsed. He has received his karma, that is, by his own death. 

Fortunately, Poppo's dark secret was known before five years. If it had been five years, Poppo's strength would have been greater and invincible. The magic of immortality possessed Poppo's body completely. Poppo can't be killed. However, Poppo was really unlucky. Had he been more careful, his forbidden magic ritual would not have been known to many. 

Leticia breathed a sigh of relief. The situation really scared him. As if he experienced it himself. His heart pumps his blood very fast.

Leticia walked over to Gerald. Gerald's leg was injured by a needle. If he had not used an aura and Leticia was silent, he might not exist in the world.

The ice needle started to fade. Gerald examined Poppo's body. The evil pope is dead. Gerald gave Leticia a sign. Leticia nagging. They're winning.

Leticia turned her back on seeing all this mess. He looked ahead.

Although it was not in accordance with Leticia's expectations. There is no trial for the Pope. Even though the end of the Pope will be the same.

With the evidence already in hand, they can expose the Pope's rot. Relations between nobles who commit prohibited acts with the Pope will be spread. People will hate it.

Leticia looked back. "We did it, Grand Duke. With this, just drop Ka-"

Leticia's words stopped. He widened his eyes. The sword that was drawn to Poppo was now beside his neck.

Leticia looked at Gerald in wonder. The Gerald Sword had absolutely no intention of being taken down. Gerald looked at him coldly. Without smiling. Those red eyes were really about to pounce on him.
