Chapter 18 Confidential Information

Leticia tries to calm down her two hostile friends. He looked at Rose sharply. Without saying anything Leticia told Rose to stop. The palace witch realized the meaning of the Empress' gaze. The fireball that was beside his head, disappeared without a trace. Rose sat back down and looked away.

Isabella sat back down. Grand Duke Faust looked at him with a sharp glare of eyes as if he was going to kill him. Isabella knew that her master did not really want to kill her. He had known his master for a long time, the meaning of the look in the eye was to stop acting rashly.

"I'm sorry for the commotion, Grand Duke." Leticia lowered her head slightly.

"It's not entirely your fault, Empress. This is because my Adjutant provoked the Imperial Witch." Gerald apologized to Leticia.

Silence happened in that room. There are still suspicions about each other between Leticia and Gerald. Leticia doesn't know what Dale's thinking. Although she was always smiling and friendly, Leticia knew that the leader of the tower's magicians also still did not believe in Gerald. Unlike Rose who always expressed what she felt immediately, Leticia was more difficult to predict what Dale would say.

"Alright, it looks like Grand Duke Faust's side still doesn't trust us. I will reveal a shocking rumor. No one knows this but the three of us" Dale said in a relaxed manner. To the two ends of his lips raised upwards to look like a grin.

Leticia seemed to know what Dale wanted to reveal. The three of them talked about it during their meeting last time other than talking about her life in the palace.

"The temple performs the forbidden magic ritual." Dale's face looked serious.

Isabella's face was shocked. Although Gerald's countenance did not change, it was seen that he widened his eyes for a while.

"Is the rumor to be believed?" ask Isabella.

"A rumor doesn't come up suddenly for no apparent reason. At least there must be some truth behind the rumors" Rose said. 

Isabella's anger that had initially subsided again peaked. A satire for his master. Better he who is insulted than he who saves his life. Isabella felt unaccepted to let out her aura. 

The aura possessed by the swordsman was as powerful as the magic possessed by the magician. Aura can make its users stronger and faster. Their sword slashes would be even stronger to be able to reach even further places.

"Rose!" snapped Leticia.

Everyone in the room turned to Leticia. Leticia is rarely angry, when she is angry it means that people who get angry have an attitude that can not be tolerated anymore. 

The person called feels guilty. Rose immediately apologized, "I'm sorry for my leniency, Mr. Grand Duke." 

Gerald didn't care about Rose's words. He was used to such talk. The aura that Isabella let out immediately subsided. The atmosphere in the room was calm again. Leticia breathed a sigh of relief.

"We have below-ground information. So far the information we have got is always correct. You can trust the information we have, sir," Rose explained.

"Okay, we trust you."

"Thank you for your trust, Master Grand Duke," Rose and Dale replied simultaneously.

Dale felt that someone was suspicious of the meeting being conducted in the empress' room. In addition to using illusion magic, he also placed eyes that could see the state outside Leticia's room just in case. Their meeting lasted quite a long time. Dale's energy was also thinning, he couldn't sustain his illusion any longer. He signaled to Leticia to end this meeting immediately.

"We retreat first, Grand Duke. We will investigate the temple further. This may restore your reputation. May this cooperation work well until the rebellion occurs." Leticia gave her farewell. 

Gerald only nodded once, agreeing to the cooperation they were doing. Isabella escorted Leticia and the two witches out of the room. 

Isabella was in front of the three of them.

Leticia remembered something. He walked closer to Isabella.

"I forgot to say this. Can you teach Judith in the palace, Isabella? Not necessarily at the next meeting. You can start when Braun asks that Judith's learning be done at the palace" Leticia said.

"Why should it be when Braun asks for it, Leticia?" isabella was confused.

"This is one of my plans. I wanted Braun to think I was too busy doing empress duties and suspect me of ignoring Judith. I want to be considered a foolish empress."

"Thank you, Isabella."

Isabella smiled even for a moment at Leticia. Leticia felt calm their relationship was developing towards a better direction.

They had already arrived outside the Faust residence. Rose used her teleportation magic. Leticia's lips turned to Isabella. Leticia looked at Isabella who was slowly fading from her sight.

The three of them reached Leticia's room. Dale canceled his illusion magic. They immediately put themselves, sitting down so as not to arouse suspicion.

Rose grumbled, "I don't like that woman. He suspects us."

"It's my fault for not telling them first" Leticia said.

"No, it's not your fault, Leticia. Partly this is Dale's fault for coming to notice" Rose accused. 

"It's also your fault for not being able to contain the anger, Rose," Dale said.

These two witches could not get along. Despite being friends since childhood, they often fight.

"Please don't fight." There was a threatening tone from Leticia. It was as if he was ready to kick them out when they fought again.

The two witches were silent. The angry Leticia was very scary to them. 

"So what are you talking about with that woman, Leticia?"

"I'm talking about Judith's sword practice that might move to the palace."

"Wait..so that woman is Judith's new sword teacher replacing Sir Dean?" Rose shook her hand. He still could not believe what he had heard.

"true."

"Can you trust him?"

"He's the best friend I ever told you about. She was one of the great female sword knights. Judith likes her, too" said Leticia.

Rose could not speak anymore. Even so Rose still disliked Isabella.

"So who among us will investigate the temple?" ask Dale suddenly.

"Let me. The temple will come to the palace in a few days to bless Louis. I will also pray at the temple after the arrival of the temple party to the palace" Leticia replied.

The two witches nodded. 

"When you're in trouble don't forget to call us" Dale said 

"Of course." Leticia smiled at the two of them.

The two witches left Leticia alone. He closed his eyes. To be honest if not accompanied by Rose and Dale maybe Leticia will be afraid to talk to Gerald. The enmity between Rose and Isabella makes her forget her fear of Gerald.

He was grateful that the cooperation with Grand Duke Faust went well despite the chaos. Now just follow the plan he made.

Two more days the temple will come to the palace. Leticia will be watching their actions. This would be the decisive beginning of the plan to abdicate Braun.
