Chapter 48 The Dilemma

Rose came to Leticia's room. There, Judith was still accompanying her mother. Rose approached them.

"I'm sorry Leticia. I should have found you sooner." Rose lowered her head.

"It's okay it's not your fault Rose" replied Leticia.

"Has the kidnappers been punished?" ask Judith.

"The Emperor sentenced them to life in prison, Judith" Rose said.

Judith breathed a sigh of relief, in fact she wanted to see them sentenced directly. However, his father did not allow him because it could make him remember bad memories.

Rose gave Leticia the code to talk to both of them. Leticia understood Rose's gesture.

"Darling, it's good that you rest in your room. You must be tired of having to look for mom yesterday all day. I'm fine here there, Aunt Rose is protecting me." Leticia stroked her daughter's hair.

"Well, I need to rest too. I love Mom." Judith kisses Leticia's cheek.

Leticia. "Mother loves you too, Judith."

Judith came out leaving them both.

Feeling safe. Rose told Dale the investigation. Leticia listened to him while nodding. 

"It's good we can get an inside man. Now there's only information from Grand Duke Faust about Marquis Rainster" Leticia said.

"By the way the existence of the magic stone was already known to Judith. There's a chance Braun will find out soon enough, Leticia." Rose was worried that she would not be trusted by Braun anymore.

"You can reason that stone is the wrong way to earn my trust, Rose. I will be careful that the state of the other stones will not be discovered. Are you able to tune these magic stones so that only I can use them Rose?" Leticia took her magic stones. He put them one by one on top of the drawer.

"Of course, Leticia."

Rose grabbed one of the stones, gave it to Leticia. He clasped Leticia's hand holding the magic stone and used her magic. He repeated it on the other stones. He tried to turn it on. Stayin' dead. Leticia tries to light the magic stone used to contact Rose. Turns on. He immediately turned it off. Now only Leticia could use that magic stone.

"Oh yeah, can you ask Dale to make me a magic stone to teleport in Rose's small size?"

"Of course, but the stone can only be used four times, how?"

"It's okay, I'll use it in a precarious situation. Thank you, Rose."

Rose nodded. He let Leticia rest by leaving his room. He passed Judith's room. There are no guards there. Back then while heading to Leticia's room, she also did not see Judith's personal bodyguard. Maybe Dean was bullied again by another knight. This was not Rose's business, but he could not let Judith be without an escort.

He's headed for training. He's looking for Dean. He saw Dean training alone. Rose's guess is wrong.

Rose approached Dean loudly. Dean stopped his training.

Rose put her mouth close to Dean's ear. "Not everything is trustworthy. You have to be careful."

Dean's eyes grew bigger, but he was silent. Rose definitely did not want their conversation to be heard by others. Rose distanced herself from Dean. He ordered Dean to return to his place. Dean nodded in understanding.

Rose looked at Dean who was getting lost in the distance. Time to go back to the room and go to the tower. He'll pass Leticia's request to Dale.

Gerald headed to Rainster's residence to meet with the Marquis. However, the Marquis still did not welcome him well. In the end, he headed to the training ground to see Clovis train. 

Clovis stopped his training as soon as he saw Gerald. Gerald kept his promise to train Clovis. Clovis trained with excitement. They rest for a while.

Gerald asked me something. "Have all the servants in this residence been fired?"

"Right, sorry if this dirty residence makes you uncomfortable, Mr. Grand Duke." Clovis.

"I'm not questioning that. As I walked around this residence, there was a person staring at me from one of the rooms." Gerald looked at one of the windows, the room of the person who was staring at him in the residence of Rainster.

"Ah, that's my sister. I'm sorry for what he did. He was alone because he could not invite his friend to our residence or come to his friend's place. She felt embarrassed, "Clovis replied feeling bad.

"It's because the Rainster family's finances are getting worse" Gerald said.

Clovis was not angry at all, hearing that. He did not blame Gerald's remarks, which sounded like they were degrading to his family, because they were basically reality. "Right, Mr. Grand Duke. I will be a great knight to protect my family."

"What if your father does something bad? Will you protect her?" ask Gerald.

Clovis's face looked surprised, but he knew what Gerald meant. 

"It seems you already know." Gerald looked at Clovis sharply.

"Are you going to arrest my Father, Master Grand Duke?" Clovis looks nervous.

"I don't have enough evidence, but I'll find it soon."

"I'm sorry, I can't help you, Mr. Grand Duke. Even though my father is like this now, he used to be a good person." 

Clovis looked down, he still loved his father. For him the figure of a father who loves himself and his sister is still seen in a father who looks sad now.

"I'm not asking you to help, but consider your family. Did your father really want all this? What about your brother's fate going forward? You can indeed send money by becoming a knight, but is the money used as it should? Think carefully" said Gerald coldly.

Gerald knows that Clovis turned a blind eye to his father's despicable actions. However, his father's actions will only make their family worse. 

Gerald stood up to leave the training field. Clovis stops him by running to block him.

"I don't know what to do, Mr. Grand Duke," Clovis said softly.

"You know, but only doubt. I'll be back tomorrow, I'll wait for what you're supposed to do" Gerald said.

Gerald left Clovis alone. Clovis lowered his head while prostrating. Her tears are dripping. Clovis must uncover all his father's deeds, but he is unable to see his father languishing in prison.
