S2 Chapter 15 Good Impression

The sounds of the children were growing closer. They swarmed around Duchess Hillbright, not caring that in front of them was someone of a higher status.

"Welcome, Duchess."

"Am I buying a doll?"

"Those dolls that the Duchess bought a month ago are always well preserved."

"Is the Duchess going to play with us today?"

Judith chuckled at the cute behavior of the children. He remembered playing with his younger siblings as a child. Time continued to run unknowingly his sisters were already big. They no longer indulge in Judith and are busy with their own world. Meeting innocent children can ease fatigue in addition to meeting with his family.

"I'm going to hand out new dolls and clothes to you. Just relax everything will be part, no need to scramble. I'm gonna play with you guys with my new aide and bodyguard." Judith smiled at them.

"Let me share the needs of the orphanage. You can play with the orphanage kids first, Duchess," Flint bargained. 

During this time his master always bore a burden that no one else had told him. If Flint doesn't offer to work for the Duchess maybe her master will solve everything alone. 

"All right, I leave it to you, Flint. Let's go to the park" take Judith to the children's home.

They went to the park followed by Leonard. The new guard never played with the children. His life was filled with blood and misery in search of money. Seeing the pleasures of those children who do not know the sin made him full. Although his life suffered, there were also those who experienced suffering despite having different problems. The children had to lose parents when they were children, in contrast to him who still felt the affection of parents even if only briefly. 

The daughter pulled up Leonard's sleeves without hesitation. "Come sir, play with us."

Leonard smiled at the boy and walked over to the laughing crowd with the Duchess. He easily mingled, probably because of their similar fate. 

Duchess Hillbright glanced at Leonard. His new bodyguard wasn't as bad as he thought.

"Sister!" call a girl while hugging Flint.

Flint let out a long sigh as his sister came while he was still working. Even though yesterday after returning from the orphanage, he had banned his beloved sister from visiting because it would only increase the burden of the Duchess.

"You can spend some time outside, sorry for keeping your sister busy, Sylvie. You don't have time together" Judith smiled at the brothers.

"No need for the Duchess. He's like this. It must have been him who forced Prince Arion to come here as well," Flint said feeling guilty as he pinched his sister's cheek.

"No, I'm the one who's coming, Brother Flint. I want to see my brother, "defa Arion.

"Here you go, come on, brother." Sylvie tugged Flint out of the room.

Flint looked down while apologizing for his sister's sassiness. At home his sister always act to make himself and his mother dizzy. His father didn't get too dizzy because he thought Sylvie was very funny. Or you could say the nature of father and daughter is almost the same.

"Sister hired a bodyguard? Isn't that unnecessary because big brother is so strong?" ask Arion. 

"I feel sorry for him for losing his job. In addition, he saved Anna during the final uprising," Judith retorted.

Leonard's forehead creased almost fused his eyebrows together. He wanted to avenge Judith's insults, but the Imperial Prince's whereabouts made him uncomfortable. 

"By the way, have you heard that Anna is going to be a Saintess?"

"really?" leonard replaces the Duchess.

Arion turned towards Leonard with a hint of confusion. He did not expect any knights who dared to interrupt the talk of nobles.

Judith looked at Leonard sharply as if she wanted to sing that presumptuous mouth. He felt sorry for Marquis Loid for choosing the wrong mercenary.

"I just heard it. Do you want to see Anna, Rion?" 

"Could only. When can we leave?" 

The two brothers ignored Leonard's question. The spirit of Leonard heard his supervisor became a famous person now changed to a sense of annoyance. Nobles don't care about commoners like him, except Ariana. 

"What about tomorrow? I'll prepare a room for you."

Arion. Duchess Hillbright called the waiter to prepare the guest room. An old brunette maid came while bowing to carry out the task. The waiter muttered something as he walked out of the room. 

"Please cooperate, Private Pay."

Leonard tried to keep his face calm. In his heart he grumbled, Idris should have introduced himself when they were alone instead of in front of the person they were going to betray.

The horse-drawn carriage came in front of the temple. Judith, Arion, Flint and Sylvie get off the horse-drawn carriage. As soon as Arion heard about meeting Ariana, Sylvie forced her to come along. Arion cannot refuse the request of his friend. Surely, Flint snorted resentfully along the way because of his sister's behavior.

Leonard stood guard behind them even though his whereabouts were not really needed. Those four nobles were strong people who did not need to be protected. However, he had to do the task even though it was just a mere formality.

Duchess Hillbright met the Pope while the others waited outside. Leonard looked up at the bright blue sky. There are no visible clouds. The nobles who were beside him did not pierce the heat that seemed to burn the skin. 

'The Duchess' acquaintance's nobility was very different from the nobles in general. But, still I don't like them, ' Leonard's inner self.

The flying stone debris. Leonard and the three royals were almost hurt if Sylvie didn't create a protector. Leonard turned to look at the building that the Duchess entered flat on the ground.
