“Yeah Sonia, mom looking for you everywhere!” Suddenly, a young woman approaches a young child who is being helped by two other women.
“Impard Sonia. He ran away because he didn't want to go home.” The woman apologized to her grandmother.
“Other times keep an eye on this kid! Already made my groceries fall apart, he didn't even say sorry!”
“Sorry, once again I'm sorry.”
“Ayo, already all ‘kan?” Bayu asked, drawing my attention. I looked at him and nodded.
“Anyone want to buy again?” He bargained and I just shook his head, then this guy rubbed my head and took the grocery crackle in my right hand and he replaced it with his hand to hold my hand.
Bayu pulled me and turned around but I heard the granny's anger still blaring.
“What do you want?!”
I glanced back and now the little girl seemed to be crying sobbing hugging Grandma's legs. The two women who helped him were trying to ask what happened but the girl still did not want to talk.
“Sonia! Come home! I'm done shopping!” The woman clucked furiously but again Sonia shook her head.
“Wait a minute.” I held Bayu's steps.
“What's up?”
Now people start to wonder and the two officers try to separate Sonia and the grandmother.
“Sonia wayward child! Listen mother! Don't bother me!”
“I want dad, you're evil!!”
I read!
Sonia moved her hand to speak to the woman after she was successfully dislodged from her grandmother's leg by the security guard.
The people who helped him seemed silent to realize that Sonia could not speak.
“Bubar!” One of the security guards shouted to disperse attention.
The girl's shoulder was held by her mother from behind but I could see clearly moving her hand to the people who helped her say. “Please, stepmother will hit me at home.”
“What? Who hit?” Bayu looked at me from the side hearing me who subconsciously said what the girl said.
“Nak, you have to go home yes. Your mother must be worried that you're running around here.” One of the auxiliary women bowed and gently rubbed the top of her head.
Sonia grew weeping more and more as her mother forced herself to pull. Somehow I reflexively let go of Bayu's hand and stepped quickly towards Soni.
“Wait a minute.” I interrupted them all.
“What do you want?!” Sonia's mother asked suspicious of me.
I just ignored her and crouched down in front of this girl then smiled at her and started moving my hands to talk to her.
“Sonia, if you don't go home with your mother you'll get lost here.”
Sonia looked like she was looking at me and she quickly said. “I want to meet dad! Stepmom always hits me because I can't talk.”
“Do your father know about your circumstances?”
Sonia shook her head and she forced to break free from the grip of this young lady and ran to embrace me.
“What are you doing?” This woman asked angry at me.
“Who do you have the right to ask me that? I'm his mother! Of course I would know. Now let her go! We'll be home!” This woman forcefully pulled Sonia who made two security guards and two women who helped her calm this woman before me.
“Sorry mom, I've got everything on the order.” Suddenly came an older woman from the woman in front of me bowing to her mother Sonia. From her clothes I knew she was a babysitter.
“How long! Quickly bring the boy! He's raging again!”
The nanny nodded and immediately walked up to me to forcefully pull Sonia, who also endured hugging my neck. An interesting tug-of-war took place and it made the two women behind me immediately pull the nanny's hand.
“Do not force it too much. Let him calm down first!” The woman told the nanny.
“Already! I'm busy! You don't have to interfere in our household affairs. Now let her go!” The young lady put away the hands of the woman holding the nanny and walked up to me with her angry expression.
While I was dumbfounded to see her thick make-up, I only realized it was that thick when it was near me.
Sonia hugged me very tightly and I could not let go, I finally stood up while carrying her. This woman was already going to grab my shoulder when my gaze was covered by Bayu's wide back.
“This child does not want to be forced. Let him explain.” He said he glanced at me.
“Who else are you? Why are the people here meddling with my affairs!!” He shouted angrily which instantly invited the attention of the people again.
“Can we talk elsewhere?” Bayu asked the two security who had been standing by since then.
The two snuggled and took us to the post not far from the market. The two women who were helping didn't come along, they just watched us move away.
“Now please explain what happened? What does this kid want?” The security guard looked at me after we got into the post.
I sat down beside Bayu and in front of us the two women, then I patted softly on Sonia's back which was still tightly hugging my neck. This girl pulled away and looked at me then I let her sit sideways on my lap.
“How old are you?” I move my hands and make a sound so they can hear it.
“Seven years?” I asked after Sonia replied and glanced at the two women before us. The nanny just nodded and the woman just snorted at me.
“Can they talk to you?”
“No. Just dad. They don't understand!”
“She wants to meet her father.” I said looking at the two men standing looking at me.
“Ask, why doesn't he want to go home now?” I followed the man's question.
Sonia glanced at the nanny and her mother before replying to me.
“No! They're evil! They'll hit me—“
“LIED!! This woman is just making it up. He must have worked with this kid to set me up!” This woman interrupted my words.
“Who are you?! Why is there a woman like you who can speak sign language? You don't look like a doctor. If you're a doctor, show me the license!” This time the nanny asked me.
I took a breath not wanting to answer their question. “Why? You don't want to answer? Throw me right ‘kan?”
Oh, my God, the nanny's just like this!
Bayu glanced at me and he didn't say anything. Then Sonia patted me so I could watch her talk.
“Dad left duty and hasn't been back for a month. The first time they came to my house since my father left. Dad trusted them to take care of me but they were trying to hit me because I couldn't talk. I couldn't get out of the house and they locked me up. Today I can finally go out and hear the plan to go home today. Then after the market, they'll dump me and tell dad I'm missing. They are so evil! Anyway I don't want to go home!”
I was amazed at what this girl of her age said. He should have had a happy childhood.
