EMBRACE YOU: Presence & Poison

EMBRACE YOU: Presence & Poison
Episode 133

...

The next thirty minutes, after we ordered the food, I was grateful for the more relaxed atmosphere of the dining table. We all laughed and talked while waiting for the food to come. In addition, the two empty seats reserved for mother and Daniel are still unfilled.

Although grandma did not come to chat, she still quietly watched but I was quite satisfied to see Bayu who laughed and chatted casually with the others.

But the crowded atmosphere immediately stopped the door of the room opened from the outside. We all saw Mom and Daniel in the doorway.

“Why are you late?!” That's Grandma's sharp voice.

“Sorry grandma, we are late because Mom and Daniel want to leave with me after I finish some work.” As I thought, Henry was suddenly between the two of them. The man smiled broadly at all of us as if there was nothing wrong with their delay.

“Henry? Oh Good, now we can confirm everything!” Grandma said relieved.

I glanced at Bayu, this man seemed to be taking Henry seriously, it made my heart suddenly hurt. I want to give the best meeting between Bayu and my family but I can't give it. Now, Bayu must get into this family drama.

With the arrival of his mother and Daniel with Henry, they told us that the blessing of the two of them was Henry, not Bayu.

Then what makes me more distrustful behind Henry is already a woman standing. Jane Alexander's.

I had expected the woman to come, but it still made me even more upset.

“And this Jane Alexander.” Mom introduced Jane to all of us.

Now that I'm really angry, mom takes an outsider to the family meal that I planned myself. I don't know what else to be disappointed with Mom.

I wanted to cry, but I couldn't. I can't cry now!

“We have to add his chair.” Daniel told us that there were only two seats left.

“I'll ask him—“

“For what to ask?” It was the sound of Aunt Nuri cutting Daniel's speech. For a moment the woman glanced at me and looked back at the four people who were still standing.

“The seats here are deliberately enough for people invited. Then on what basis are the two of them sitting here? Even the ones who have the show have not said anything.” It was the first time I heard Aunt Nuri's cold voice.

As if gaining new strength because someone was standing up for me here, I cleared my throat and looked at Henry and Jane alternately. “It's okay. Since you guys are already here, you can join to eat here. This event is to introduce Bayu to my family so—“

“Aren't you getting engaged to Henry next week? I told you back then that Bayu was my fiance!” Jane cut my words.

I felt Bayu was about to make a sound but I held his hand and shook his head slowly. This man sighed softly and leaned his back on the chair with both hands folded over his stomach.

“So that's right, Icha?” Grandma looked at me sharply.

I sighed while looking at the mother who was still silent. “Bu, what's going on? Mom never told me anything about the engagement. At the time, my mother said I was in a relationship with Henry without hearing my answer. Mom forced me when she knew I had a boyfriend. I've also said

it was clear to Henry that I refused his betrothal.”

“Icha, we've known you for a long time. You're the one who came after me and I promised to marry you after coming home from America.” Henry looked hard at me. Everyone was still watching us.

“Henry Zeng's. I've known you since Junior High. You're a friend of my distant friend. Just that and nothing more. I don't know when you became my friend. Has it been since you lent my mother money?” Everyone was surprised to hear my last question.

“Ka, you borrowed money on him? If you need money, I can lend it to you.” Uncle Ben asked to make the mother who was upset with me ignore him.

“And you Jane. Aren't you ashamed? Since long ago you broke off the engagement with Bayu now you claim to be his fiance after Bayu with me? Where are you who always come mad at me for hating my mother close to your father?” I smiled at Jane.

“Alexander? You still trying to get close to the guy who still has a wife?” Grandma asked angry at mom.

“Grandma don't know? Jane Alexander is often angry with me because my mother approached Alexander.”

“Close your mouth! You are indeed ungrateful, humiliating your own mother in front of others!”

“I'm sorry ma'am because I said honestly. Then what about mom? What is the intention of mom bringing them here?”

“Mother invited Henry because she was helping mom when it was hard. If you're where you're helping mom. Even to borrow money you only calculate once! I just want to repay her kindness by matching you. And Jane, this kid I already consider my own mother's daughter! I just want to help her get what belongs to her.” I don't care. Really bored with the reason you always give.

Although it felt like both of my hands were shaking from this overflowing anger but I didn't want to explode here. I have to hold him. However I cannot cross the line, I must be able to control my emotions.

Suddenly the door opened, three waiters entered the room with the dishes we ordered. Daniel asked the waiter to give him two extra seats.

As long as the dishes were served, none of us spoke. Every now and then they all look at me and Bayu and Henry and Jane.

“You know, my patience limit is you.” I turned to look at Bayu who whispered seriously to me.

I nodded in understanding his words, this man will act if he sees me who is not okay.

“So before meals, once again we have to straighten this problem.” Grandma said after all the dishes were available and the waitresses came out.

“Nak Henry, right his mother Icha borrowed money? How much?” Grandma asked Henry who was sitting in front of her.

“Eh-hmm.. Not as I imagined. Money that—“

“Bu, Henry just helped me and already I should have returned with this matchmaking. I'm doing this too because I don't want my son to snatch someone else's fiancee. Besides Icha always counts every time I ask her for money.” Mother shriveled sadly. I could feel something stabbing into my chest cavity.

“Icha, is it true??”

I glanced at Daniel and replied. “Daniel, how about you explain to grandma and everything about the money you love so far. What did you do with that money and how much trouble you caused that eventually turned to me.”
