“I never imagined getting a family like the Danendra family, all this time, I did expect a complete family but..” I took a deep breath, unable to continue. My feet stepped up and stood in front of my father then crouched down before him with a small smile.
“It's dad, don't talk about it anymore. I will try my best to put myself in the Danendra family, however, I think, the Eternity group can be this big because of the hard work of grandfather, grandmother, father, uncle Kenzo and aunt Kenzie.”
“Do you have time to think about the struggle for inheritance in the family?” Dad narrowed his eyes, looking at me suspiciously. I chuckled softly and nodded.
“I think, a family that has a big business like the Eternity group, there will be a struggle for such an inheritance in the drama but after meeting a few times with uncle Kenzo, not like I imagined. Uncle Kenzo always tucked dad in our chat with it I know that he loves you very much.” I looked at Evano's father.
“So? What did he say about dad?”
“Not much. It's just that Uncle Kenzo always said that I look like dad.” We both let out a small laugh after hearing my answer.
“Then there was aunt Kenzie, although we just met at the wedding, but my impression of her, she was good.” Evano's father's hand was raised to rub the top of my head.
“Dad was happy to hear it. They are both father's twin sisters who can be relied on. The Eternity Group could be this big as well because of their efforts. Your uncle runs our pharmaceutical business and Kenzie, he's the queen of entertainment circles. While the father himself, more involved with investment.” Seeing how Evano's father's eyes flashed when talking about them meant I didn't know them wrong.
“And you, I hope you help father in company.”
“But how do I do my job? I can't just let go of it, at least, I have to hand over to the person who will replace me later.”
“Well, dad called you to the office one of them for this.” Dad suddenly reached into the cell phone in his suit pocket, his hand moving quickly to call someone.
“Yes. Send it here.” After saying that, the connection was cut off and I still stared at the astonished father.
I had not had the question in my head answered, I heard the sound of footsteps from the end of the corridor. I looked up at the back of Evano's father, the figure of a man walking from the meeting room door earlier.
The well-dressed man slowly approached along with his face which I immediately recognized.
“Yudha??”
“Yes, Yudha. From today he will be your assistant.”
“So, she accidentally came to the company I work for?!”
“On that, Yudha herself took the initiative to get to know you better and she has also been looking for people who will replace you later.”
“Good day, lady Icha.” Yudha smiled at me as soon as she was near us.
“How about his replacement? Is she ready?” Ask Yudha who is standing next to him.
“Yes. He already knows the outline and is ready to be placed directly.” Evano's father nodded in satisfaction.
So, Yudha learned from me all this time to keep him on my successor? It's hard to believe!
The man whose eyes resembled cat's eyes looked calm, his clothes were neat and his impression he became more rigid.
“So, Rasha's father gave me a bodyguard and dad himself gave me an assistant? It was amazing.” I said skeptically.
“Oh yes, by the way, where is Bayu?” Ask dad to switch our conversation.
“She has a sudden affair, but will pick me up later.”
.
..
…
“How? You like dad's office?” Evano's father asked as I pushed him into the room. Yudha went to get a drink while Lucy, she stood guard outside, next to the door.
The office is large, there is a set of sofas and desks, there are desks and chairs complete with laptops, computer screens and files on the table. A large window on the west side that offers views of the city.
The quiet but fragrant atmosphere of this room was refreshing but as soon as I turned to face the door, the employees outside the room, were comfortable, exactly two beautiful women behind the table were looking at me curiously. They must be dad's secretary.
“Come try sitting here. This chair is the most comfortable and cushioned.” My father's words took my eyes off her again, unaware that Evano's father had already stood up from his wheelchair and was now standing next to his chair, pushing the black padded chair to let me sit.
“No no! That's the main director of the group Eternity.” I shook my head and quickly sat down on the sofa.
Evano's father chuckled and walked up to me to sit in front of me. “One of those times you should dare to sit in that chair.”
Tok to tok.
The door opened with Yudha entering with a woman behind her carrying a tray of two warm drinks whose smoke was still billowing.
“Bavarian coffee for Evano pack and caramel latte for young mistress.” Yudha said as soon as I remembered Aunt Rose, it had been a long time since I felt the caramel latte that Aunt Rose used to make.
My reflexes looked at Evano's smiling father while nodding as if understanding my thoughts. “At least, Rose told me earlier that you love caramel latte.”
“Really? Then what else did Aunt Rose tell you?” Askaqua.
After the woman who brought the drink out with Yudha, the father began to sip his coffee and replied. “You don't like nuts in your food, you like spicy and you love chicken dumplings. Besides caramel latte, you also like estemje.”
“Then?” I'm getting interested in what Aunt Rose said.
“Compared by vehicle, actually you like to walk from the complex gate to the house. If you want to walk alone, you are thinking about many things, including deciding something. I know you're also kind, friendly and smiley. You always think critically, think on two different sides but sometimes this way of thinking makes you stress yourself. But behind it all, you are a person who is understanding and willing to listen.”
“Is that? This is the first time someone has really spelled out about me.” Dad sipped his coffee glass again with his gaze still fixed on me.
For the next minute, we were both silent, preoccupied with each other's thoughts until father's deheman's voice made me look at him.
“Icha, there's actually one thing I want to talk about. It's about your birth mother's family.”
“What's up?”
For a moment, I could see the doubt in my father's gaze, but then he looked at me confidently to answer. “Before, before you were born, Mona had said about appointing a guardian for you to keep you safe besides the Danendra family. She is Sara Arina, your mother's best friend since childhood.”
