I finally came into this group of children after they had a short conversation.
We were on the way to the stage house, like a big stilt house that contained only tables and chairs. As the man said, we waited and the two women started delivering food for all of us. Only dishes that have been filled with rice and side dishes. Four people stood guard around us and asked us to eat right away.
“What's your name? I'm Icha.” My words shocked the girl in front of me. The children seemed calm eating their food even though their faces were still pouting and frightened.
“Ka Icha can talk?” I nodded small, not intending to explain further.
“Halo greetings know Ka, I'm Gia.”
“How was it? Are the kids still crying?” I ask as slow as possible so that these guards do not eavesdrop.
Gia nodded slowly still looking at me curiously. “Sorry Gia ka Icha can't talk.”
I smiled and answered. “Ka Icha just had a sore throat earlier. But it's better and it can
talking again even though the throat still hurts.” My words are not entirely lying.
Gia nodded slowly from her gaze she looked relieved looking at me. We went back to eating even though I had no taste and it seemed like not only me, all these children and Gia also looked lethargic.
My eyelids felt heavy as if I could fall asleep in an instant. I felt really tired and wanted to lie down. My breath was also hot. I finally gave up on the spoon I was holding, put it down and leaned back while looking at these children.
“Ka Icha not eating? The food is still intact.” I shook my head slowly, confirming Gia's words because I could only put the food in half a tablespoon.
“Sari, why don't you eat? Let's spend it, we should have the energy to go home later.” Gia whispers averted my eyes. This girl was talking to the little girl beside her. The girl sitting next to me on the train was pouting and not touching her food at all.
“Sari wants to go home! Sari miss mom.” The girl's words got the attention of all of us including the guards.
“We will definitely go home. Patience yes dear.” Gia rubbed Sari's head but was quickly tepis by the girl.
“Engga wants! Sari wants Mom! Ka Gia from earlier said we will go home but we did not go home. Hiks Hiks.”
Gia began to cry loudly and it made the other children grieve.
“HEY! STOP CRYING!” One of the guards came up to us and put his big gun on him. The children started screaming in fear and came out of their stools to hug me or Gia.
“Please keep that thing. Kids will cry out in fear!” I said sharp. The man is not
put the gun away, he pointed it at me.
“Pacify them in five minutes otherwise I shoot you useless!” The screeching made the children scream in fear.
My fast-beating heart was afraid to quickly embrace the children and rub their backs to stop crying.
“Sstt.. Calm. No cry. We're definitely home.” Gia's tone of voice vibrating in an unabated fear made me even more frightened.
My trembling hands still continued to rub them, calming them even though in my heart I did not know if we would really be able to get out of here as soon as possible? Being aware of help alone has not been seen until now. Bayu's words about us getting out of here tonight were unimaginable to me what would actually happen later.
“STOP CRYING! STOP!!”
Now these four guards are yelling annoyed at us while pointing their folding knives. That thing is precisely
made the kids run scared out of our arms and they looked for a safe place under the table.
The initially calm atmosphere changed violently. These running kids are worrying me and Gia. I saw these four guards pull out their pistols and start brandishing to shoot at these children.
Although my heart was beating very fast, I was terrified and could not predict what was going to happen but
DOR!! DOR!!
There were two shots fired in the air, I was shocked half to death looking for the injured child. But I didn't find him, the children under the table cowering in fear.
“HEY HE RAN AWAY! CATCH THE KID!” The shouting of the man outside this place made me and Gia glare in disbelief.
Now the atmosphere was getting crowded and I could hear people starting to call each other to catch the runaway child.
“Gia, secure the children. I'll catch up!” My words were immediately nodding at the girl. Even though these four guards had blocked me but I who nimbly ran away avoided them could escape and catch up with the people running around.
No. gabe. The boy should not be hurt. The boy was waiting for his mother and his mother to return!
I’a in my heart so that the child gets protection. No one knew what would happen to him when dozens of criminals chased him. I kept running after him until everyone who was chasing stopped in front of the warehouse.
The running child was Sari, the little girl screaming in fear as a man lifted her up high.
Damnit damnit!!
That man Mike.
“Where are you going, sweet girl?”
“Release! Sari wants Mom! Sari wants to go home!” Sari revolted in Mike's arms. Everyone watching looked relieved and just looked. They're all completely insane.
“Yes Sari dares to run away from here. This place is in the middle of the forest. You're not afraid of tigers?” Mike who spoke softly but sounded very annoying in my ear got a welcome laugh when the man imitated the tiger at the end of his sentence.
Sari who was still screaming for release made Mike's emotions ignited. The man suddenly turned around and took a quick step carrying the girl.
“You must be given the punishment dear.”
“Mike release Sari!” I screamed after him but two men were holding me back. The man had already disappeared behind the warehouse. I'm freaking out thinking Mike could hurt Sari.
Curious people followed Mike and since the two people holding me back also seemed curious, they took me to take a look.
“Release! Sari does not want!! Sari wants to go home!”
“DIAM!”
Mike's scream in the tail with the sound of something getting into the water makes me rebel faster to escape. With my mainstay kicking their leg bones into disrepair, they immediately ran right through these men to see more clearly what Mike was doing.
