“Do you really get fired if you don't work today? Then you don't have to worry about anything, just get out! Remember, you are already the young miss of the Jeremy family, at home accompanying mother is also okay and I also need a wife who can spend my money.” I can't hold my laughter.

I laughed satisfied to hear that directly transmitted to Bayu. We both laughed sillyly, ignoring Renata.

“And don't forget, you can start moving your stuff to our house. If you need help, just call Zac.” I nodded, very happy to hear him say ‘our home’.

“Remember, I also still have to go to college.”

“Oh right! Don't get tired.” Bayu rubbed the top of my head, he smiled softly until his eyes narrowed like a crescent moon.

I smiled back at him and nodded again.

“Icha, if you need help, don't hesitate on me. I can help you move things. I'll introduce you to someone who used to help me move things.” Me and Bayu glanced at Renata as soon as the woman again tried to slip between our chatter.

I only smiled lightly in response to her remark whereas Bayu did not reply, only embracing me and carrying my body attached with his body.

“You take it easy Bayu, I'll take care of Icha. He's already I consider as my own son.” Renata this time glanced at Bayu.

“Didn't want to be troublesome, but I've arranged for my people. And again I think my wife is stronger than she looks.” Bayu turned his eyes to look at me.

I nodded in agreement to his words. It never occurred to me that early in the morning had an argument with Renata but facing someone like this with Bayu beside me was very relieved. I'm not alone anymore.

But our chatter stopped when the door opened, revealing the figure of Talia who was followed by three men behind her, and Evano's father and Rasha's father followed behind.

“How?” Bayu stood up, impatient to hear the report from Talia.

For a moment, Talia glanced at Renata, from her perspective I knew that she was reluctant to talk about the development of the case in front of the woman. But it seems Evano's father didn't say anything to at least ‘exorcise the woman, so finally Talia had no choice and said. “We have introduced the four of them, for a while the 3 servants you saw said that a guest asked them to deliver the suitcases. We've been looking for the person they mean, and none of the guests.”

“Of course! That guy must have escaped. He won't risk staying here.” Answer Bayu clucked slowly.

“And we discussed getting you home this morning. Everything here will be taken care of.” Talia glanced at Evano's father and Rasha's silent father listening.

“Tapi—”

“It is clear that this incident is to humiliate you at this important event. Then, you better get home soon.” Rahsa's father cuts Bayu's rebuttal. We both looked at each other but I knew we were thinking the same thing.

“Good.”

“I'll pack.” I said get up and stand up.

“I accompany.” Talia grabbed me and without saying anything more, the two of us immediately walked out of the room. Bayu didn't come with me, I saw him chatting with the others.

“I didn't know you were a police officer.” I said starting the conversation as we walked along the corridor to my room.

Talia seemed to glance at me and smiled widely. “Because in almost every case I have to go undercover, so maybe my appearance doesn't look like a cop.”

“So? I must be tired of being disguised as someone else. I mean, wouldn't it be happier to be ourselves?” Talia looked silent, as if pondering my words.

I laughed at him, embarrassed. “Well, we spent time in the gym after the event—not as you think, Talia! After that, I accidentally saw those 3 maids in the back building doing something suspicious, as you know later.”

Talia clucked, as if she was regretting my experience. “It should be a special night for both of you. But I'm grateful, you guys look so happy.”

“Really! Hehe.. I never thought I would get married this fast even though it could be said, the circumstances are forcing. But I'm quite happy.” In a short time we were already at the door of the room, when I opened the door and was about to ask Talia to come in but the woman shook her head quickly.

“I'll wait here. I don't want to go into the bridal room.” He said with a dirty look. Then I nodded not wanting to argue.

Just spent less than five minutes, I've put in some stuff considering we actually didn't bring clothes to the villa. After making sure no one was left behind, I immediately went out to meet Talia.

“Come! Car is ready.” He said, once again I nodded and followed him away towards the front villa door.

There are already two black cars, one of which is Bayu's jeep. Evano's father, Rasha's father Bayu and Talia's 2 male co-workers, were gathered to talk about something.

When I was near them, their conversation stopped as if it was interrupted by my presence.

“Oh Icha's. You're going home with Bayu, delivered by them.” Rahsa's father said as he glanced at the 2 sturdy men who were clearly from the police. I could see something shiny on the side of their belt.

My mouth was half open to ask why it had to be delivered by the police, but I paused and just nodded in response. Then Evano's father stepped closer to me as his hands held onto my shoulders, his eyes looking at me attentively and intimidatedly, I could feel that the next words did not want to be rebutted.

“This morning you go home to Rasha and Kirana. Can't go out alone. Someone will be there when Bayu will leave for work later.”

“Someone? Who?”

“He will be your assistant. He's a guy I already know well.”

“Assistant?? But I don't need an assistant!”

“For anything else, we'll talk after this, okay?”

“Tapi—”

“She knows Icha too and your father has checked her background. So don't worry.” Dad glanced at Bayu who I just realized a moment ago his facial expression wanted to speak.

“Then, you guys leave immediately.” Rasha's father said ending my brief argument with father.

“Do they have to keep watch in front?” With my hands on my hips, I stared out the window once more and saw how two men were standing in front of the gate, sitting on the hood of the front car with sharp eyes staring around, it was as if just from their gazes alone could catch the most formidable thief.
