I'm Not an Old Virgin

I'm Not an Old Virgin
Chapters 22.4

Shin paced back and forth in his room while resting his left hand on his chest and right hand rubbed his temple swipe. This morning he was very nervous about what decision he would get from Abah. Whether the application is accepted or vice versa rejected.

The three friends looked at the wonder at the tall athletic man that even they looked at each other as if looking for answers why his foreign friend was like he was in the middle of anxiety.

"Turn back and forth, kayak ironing aja," ledek Akbar.

Shin glanced with the tail of his eyes but he ignored Akbar's words and Shin randomized his hair.

Abdul just smiled to see Shin was frustrated. Because Abdul knows what causes his adult friend like that.

"Self calm brother and beristighfar sak," Abdul's advice arrived.

Shin fell silent then took a deep breath and let out slowly.

"Astaghfirullah azim." Shin rubbed his face with both hands.

"Don't we rent a tractor today to dig up the ground?" ask Akbar.

"Yes you're right Bar."

"Later first. We have to tell Abah first about our plan" Abdul advised.

"Yes, then we go to Abah's house now" Akbar proposed.

They rushed to Abah Ahmad's house. Arriving there and with a little distance Shin and his three friends saw a beautiful santri just came out of Abah's house. Shin was stunned to see it because the woman was the woman he was pinning down but had yet to get the answer. Shin immediately hid his body behind a large tree before the woman passed by him.

Inay out of Abah's house. His eyes were like four men walking toward Abah's house. But he looked back at them, there were only three men walking towards him.

"What I just feel." Inay took his foot out of Abah's house.

Abdul and his two friends do not realize that Shin is hiding behind a big tree. They walked past the woman who had just come out of Abah's house.

"Assalamualaikum Inay's brother?" greet Abdul with a smile.

Thoriq and Akbar looked in wonder at Abdul. Why did Abdul get to know the beautiful woman in front of them? thought her.

"Wa'alaikum salam. Wasn't this Abdul's deck that helped me in the market?"

"Well, Brother Inay still remembers me. It feels like I still remember hehe."

Inay just smiled faintly."Are you going to Abah's house?"

"It's true."

"Oh, yes then please continue."

"Yes, brother."

"Assalamualaik."

"Wa'alaikum salutations."

Inay hurried away from the presence of the three youths. Walking across the big tree where Shin was hiding.

Shin stared at the back of the woman he so longed for as he passed by.

"I miss you so much Rin, so much...!" muttered Shin in heart.

Not that Shin did not want to show himself to the woman but he was not ready if he got a rejection then Norin would stay away from him more. Let it be like this, looking at it from a distance rather than nothing.

Abdul and his two friends only realized there was no Shin in their midst.

"Lho, where is Shin? he disappeared" asked Akbar.

"Yes, where is he going?" Thoriq.

While Abdul's tail caught half of Shin's body hiding behind a large tree. He shook his head and walked towards her.

Shin who was watching the beautiful woman was walking to the distance was startled by the clapping of hands behind her back. Shin was surprised and looked back.

"You Dul, just surprise me."

"Ha ha ha, after all why is Shin's brother hiding here."

"I.I..!"

"Don't want to meet Inay's sister?"

"Mom.not. I just wasn't ready. I'm afraid he's getting away from me."

"Abdul, Brother Shin why are you standing there? come to Abah's house, "call Akbar.

Shin and Abdul looked at each other.

"Yes, sister, I'll continue the story. Now we go to Abah's house first."

Shin nodded.

Then they approached his two friends and walked to Abah's house.

"Assynogaal?"

"Wa'alaikum salutations."

Door opens.

"Lho, what's this rame coming here in the morning?" ask Umi Husna.

"We want to meet Abah, Umi."

"Oh, for a second, Umi called her Abah first."

Not long after Abah came to approach those who were still standing on the porch of the house after being called by Umi Husna.

"Abah's Asalamualaikum."

"Wa'alaikum salutations."

Abdul and his three friends greeted Abah Ahmad first one by one.

"Look sitting there," Abah asked while showing some chairs in the corner of his house terrace. And they obey his invitation.

"You guys what's this collision to here rame rame?"ask Abah.

"This is Abah, we ask Abah's permission to make a fish pond. We want to catch fish. So the results in addition to being sold also for the additional food of the santri in this cottage Abah." Abdul explained to Abah Ahmad about their desire to catch fish.

Abah looked up and spoke up.

"Not that Abah disagrees with your wishes. But, Abah himself is confused because there is no incoming funds from donors. While menarnak fish will need capital that is not small."

"There is no need to think about funds for this problem, because there are already donors who will finance it" replied Abdul.

"Yes.but where you will make a fish pond while there is no empty land in this pesantren."

"In the garden, Abah."

"Lho, wasn't it yesterday you planted the garden?"

"Yes Abah, but Abdul means we'll make it on new land."

"I mean Dul, you don't understand."

"Look Abah. So this donor will also finance the manufacture of ponds and fish seeds. He has also bought land for the manufacture of his pond."

"Are you serious, Dul? where's it?"

"Seriously Abah, he's already paid for the garden that Mr. Paijo owns that adjoins our garden."

"Paijo's garden, which covers almost an acre?"

"Subhanallah...si who is the donor you mean Dul? asked Abah with a serious face.

Abdul glanced at Shin who just looked down without speaking.

"She...kak Shin Abah."

Abah turned his eyes. It was unbelievable because Abah only knew Shin was an atheist and never knew who Shin really was. Mr. Ali himself never told who exactly the foreign man he took to the boarding school. Shin himself never told her origin. He just said he wanted to learn Islam, that's all.

"Is that really Shin's son?" asked Abah with a serious face.

Shin looked up at his face.

"Surely Abah."

"Does Shin not love to spend that much money on this boarding school?"

"Not at all. I'm sincere, Abah."

Abah smiled."Thank you very much, son Shin, hopefully what Shin has donated to this pesantren becomes a reward field for nak shin and family."

"The same as Abah."

Although Abah was actually curious and wanted to ask who he really was but Abah just paused. It feels less ethical if you ask things that are worldly. For Abah the most important thing is that Shin is a good person and has good intentions.

"When will you build a fish pond?"

"The plan after returning from here we want to directly rent Abah's tractor" replied Abdul.

"Oh, so." Abah mangut.

Abah glanced at Shin who for some reason all the time talking to Abah he lowered his head.

"Son Shin, can we talk together? there's something I want to say."

Shin looked up at his face and nodded.

"Then we went to the cottage, brother?"

Shin nodded.

"Then we went back to the cabin, Abah. Assalamualaikum."

Abah nodded."Wa'alaikum greetings."

Abdul and two of his friends rushed to leave Abah's house.

"Son Shin, let's just talk inside" Abah said. Then get out of his chair. Shin followed behind Abah.

"Please sit down Nak Shin," Abah said after they were in the living room.

"Thank you Abah."

"We'll just get straight to the point, son Shin, because soon I have to go out first to attend the event."

Shin nodded.

"I just want to convey the intention expressed by son Shin yesterday to preach my nephew, Inay. So I told Inay about Shin's intentions."

Shin lowered his head and closed his eyes. He was so scared that his hand was rejected.

"And it's my good will that Shin's son has been well received by Inay himself."

Shin looked up at Abah seriously.

"A....has my proposal been accepted by Norin, Abah?" ask Shin. As if he had not believed what he had heard from Abah."

Abah smiled."Right, Inay has already received a proposal for Shin's son."

"Thank you, God, thank you..!" Shin rubbed his face with both palms.

How happy Shin was right now, a sense of happiness that could not be expressed with words.

"But, did Norin know that the one who asked him was me, Abah?"

Abah shook his head.

"Why is that? how can he accept someone's proposal if he doesn't know who it is?"

"Inay says, whoever my choice is he's the right man for her. I had offered to find her with Shin's son so that she would know first who her future husband was but she refused. No need to force it. Let her know how her husband is after you get married."

"But, is that not a lie and a sin, Abah?"

"No. We didn't lie to him, he himself rejected it. Son Shin need not worry. I'm sure once you get married Inay will take her as Shin's wife."

Shin had a small mangosteen, although there was a little doubt in his heart but he just followed what Abah said Shin had no other choice.

"When do you think Shin is ready to marry Inay?"

"Today I'm ready too" Shin replied seriously.

"ha ha. can't be so son Shin. Inay had a family of course had to wait for their arrival. Besides having to take care of the letter to the civil record first. Shin son, just prepare the documents. And inshaallah the marriage will be carried out on Sunday the fifth."

"What else should I prepare besides Abah's documents?"

"Mahar, that's the most important."

"What should I give?"

"As far as Shin is concerned, money can be goods."

Shin nodded.

"Do I have to have a guardian when I get married? because, my parents are in Korea."

"For the groom is not obligated to son Shin, just come the witness."

Shin nodded.

"But, we're just going to have a simple event, son Shin, maybe only a few relations and close relatives are invited."

"So much Abah it's good how."

Shin reached into his phone and typed something. Shortly thereafter Abah's mobile phone vibrated which he placed on the table. Abah took it and looked at the screen of his phone. Abah frowned after reading a notice from M banking that three hundred million dollars had entered his account.

"I've transferred three hundred million money to Abah's account" Shin said.

"So it was Shin who sent the money to my account? what's son for?"

"So, I don't know how a Muslim marriage works. So I gave everything to Abah. And that money is what we need and what we have to buy in preparing for our marriage."

"But this money is too much son Shin."

"It's okay. Moreover, this is our wedding so I have to fund everything. Don't we need food to welcome our guests? who knows Abah wants to invite Abah's relationship to watch our wedding later."

"It's up to Shin."

"Then excuse me to go back to Abah's cabin."

"yes, Shin, please."

"Assalamualaik."

"Wa'alaikum salutations."

Shin rushed back to the cottage. Along the way a smile of happiness could not be separated from his lips. It was like a dream if five more days Norin would be his whole.
