I'm Not an Old Virgin

I'm Not an Old Virgin
Season II: Mahligai of Love (Chapter 15.14)

"No, no way! Abi, this Umi can't possibly be a hyster..." Almaira fell limp, sobbing heartbroken to see the man she loved has now officially got the blessing of both parents Ai.

It was painful, even breathing was so difficult. It felt so painful, his body and mind could not hold on anymore. He fell to the floor, weeping over the injustice he had received tonight.

"Calm your heart, son, make it clear. If your heart is sincere, then God will reward you with an unexpected miracle." Umi embraces her daughter's shoulders, erasing the trail of gently flowing tears on her daughter's face.

Almaira shook her head in disbelief. He just wants Ustad Vano, he just wants to be with Ustad Vano. Had it not been him, Almaira would never have been with another man because her heart already belonged to a Ustad Vano.

"Son, do you know whether this is a test or a rebuke from God for you?" Mr. Kyai clasped his daughter's hand which was still sobbing pitifully.

"What...what does Abi mean?" Almaira did not understand.

"Surely Allah does not like those who do riya' or boast about themselves. Has not Allah explained in the Qur'an the letter of Al-Maun, that it is useless for a person to pray if he likes to do riya'. What did Almaira get from this letter?" Abi asked in a soft tone.

Almaira was silent, a few seconds later she started crying. He hugged Mr. Kyai's neck tightly with the sound of sobs that increasingly heart-wrenching.

"Almaira is wrong, Abi, Almaira is wrong! Almaira does not want to be hated by Allah and Almaira also does not want if Almaira prayers have been in vain.."

His heart was tapped, there were thousands of regrets that came flooding into his heart. Never once did he feel so ashamed and despicable except tonight. The night that God rebuked him through this incident, opened Almaira's eyes and heart as wide as possible that,

Verily he is sinful and has disobeyed Allah SWT. His heart ached and felt claustrophobic from a regret that could not be expressed in words.

"Then fix your heart, son. Go back and leave everything to God. Ask God to forgive you for His steps, and then apologize to Aishi, Son. Improve your relationship so that God opens the door to forgiveness for you. Then expand your heart to accept all the ordinances of God and remain humble, Son. Allah loves to see His servant simple in the world but excessive in worship. Is not worship always going to bring us closer to God?" These words are like a whip to Almaira.

He forgets who He should return to. He forgets that God always sees everything he does and says to Aishi.

How sassy he is!

"Abi, Umi. I want to talk to Aishi." His voice with a weak voice.

"Sure, Son." Abi helps Almaira stand up and walk up to Ai who is surrounded by her friends.

Ustad Vano resigned a few minutes ago after receiving the blessing of Ali and Safira.

"Aishi" Almaira's awkward voice caught the attention of many people including Safira himself.

Unlike before, Safira now appears much more gentle and generous smile, even when faced with Almaira he still wears a smile on his lips. He believes that Almaira is not a superficial woman of knowledge.

"Son, speak." Safira encourages her daughter to be closer to Almaira.

All the laughter and cheerfulness of Ai's roommates immediately evaporated upon seeing Almaira's arrival. They compactly shut their mouths, staring at Almaira with a sense of anticipation.

Almaira squeezed both her hands in shame.

"Surely Allah created man in the best form and in this world there is no such thing as a defect, but they are given an advantage which will be the weight of the scales in the Hereafter. O Aishi Humaira, it is disgraceful that my heart was so bold as to humble the 'servants' of God's choice. I am so bathed in the sin of glorifying myself that is full of shortcomings and weaknesses. Aishi, please don't close the door of your heart for me. Please don't close your sorry door for me because really, I'm so sorry I've been zoning you all this time. I'm really sorry, Aishi." He began to cry again, crying for himself too lulled in the seduction of the world.

Though this world is a stage play that is nothing more than a place to shelter when the rain comes.

Aishi, even everyone was very surprised to hear Almaira's apology as well as regret.

"Sister Almaira, I forgive you." Ai finally spoke.

"And I also apologise to Brother Almaira for having broken it"

"Aishi, you're not wrong. You are not wrong, but I am wrong here. I had so much hope for Ustad Vano that I had forgotten that God was the only place I wished. This is Aishi's rebuke, this is a rebuke from God that I no longer turn away from him and it is all through you."

Everyone was lulled in gratitude because of the tightening of the cord of friendship. In addition, because of this incident, there are some people who re-awaken from their mistakes. They realized they had gone too far. Turning around, along the path they should take is a path bathed in love with the Creator, Allah SWT.
