Season II: Mahligai of Love (Chapter 14.2)
"Waalaikumussalam, Brother Tiara. Brother's here to see Ai, yeah?" Sapa Asri polite.
When Ai was still unconscious, some disciplinary officers came to see how Ai was doing. There were even some Ustazah who accidentally heard the news of Ai fainting to take the time to visit. But unfortunately Ai does not know if there are many people who visit him, if you know he must be happy because there are still people who care about him. This is Asri's innocent mind. He considers all who come are people who care without knowing what the heart of the person is.
"I originally came to visit Aishi, but the time of my arrival was very appropriate. Since Ai has regained consciousness I will take her to Umi's house because there is something Umi wants to talk to Aishi."
"Well, what do you want to say to Ai, sister?" Ratna asked curiously.
Tiara shook her head not knowing.
"I don't know because I came here just to deliver a message from Umi. But, if Aishi is still recovering Umi says it's okay to rest first. He said this conversation could be postponed until Ai feels better."
"I'm all right, brother. We can meet Umi now mumpung time is still afternoon." Said Ai with a gentle smile never disappearing from her ripe lips.
"Yes Kak, we will accompany Ai to Umi's house. So if anything happens to him we're ready to help." Ratna felt responsible as the head of their room.
He would correct the mistakes he had made for Ai. Therefore he wants to escort Ai directly to Umi's house to anticipate things that are not desirable.
Unfortunately Tiara did not allow. He scratched his non-itchy cheeks looking bad.
"The Umi won't allow that to happen. She said it was enough that I would accompany Aishi to Umi's house." He said it wasn't good.
"Oh so," Asri looked at each other with Ratna.
"If Umi says so then we have no choice but to wait for Ai in the dorm." Asri said nothing.
Umi is the leader of the women santri in the boarding school. When there is nothing the last person they can ask for help is Umi because the problem Umi solves is usually a big enough problem. As for if there is a mild problem Umi will leave it to the disciplinary staff of the princess dormitory he formed and to the cabin staff.
Because Umi wants to talk to Ai, then they conclude if this meeting is to discuss bad rumors about Ai circulating in the boarding school. They were relieved that this problem could finally be resolved quickly but at the same time they were worried about Ai's state.
"You guys take it easy, I'll accompany Aishi there. When something happens I won't just stay quiet looking alone." Tiara solemnly promised to ease their anxiety.
"We know, Brother. Please take care of Ai there, she's actually not recovered but still forced herself to go back to the dorm." Asri was still worried.
"Don't worry, she'll always be with me at Umi's house."
Then Tiara took Ai along with her to Umi's house. They walk down the path of the boarding school cottage which is overgrown with tall, shady trees. The heat of the afternoon sun does not seem to have much effect for those who walk on this road.
However, along the way the two of them did not speak. Ai did not know what Tiara was thinking at the moment because it felt so awkward now. He himself still has not forgotten the speech Tiara at that time in the rice field. Although Ai knew Tiara's intentions well but it still felt a bit awkward because it was about matters of the heart.
Arriving at Umi's house, Tiara reneges on the promise she made in a gentle and polite tone in front of Ai's friends. He said he would accompany Ai while at Umi's house but the fact is different because Tiara only drove Ai to the front yard of Umi's house.
"Come inside, there's someone waiting for you there." Tiara said with the same soft tone.
In addition to reneging on his promise, he also said that there was 'someone' inside and did not mention Umi.
Ai was confused, she felt that something was wrong here.
"Son't you come in with me?" Ai was actually charging an appointment.
But Tiara easily reneged, "I can't get in because you guys are going to talk about a very privacy issue." Reject Tiara contrary to what he promised before.
Ai feels insecure when alone.
"I'm ashamed to be alone, Brother." Said Ai in a weak voice.
Tiara smiled lightly, "Don't be afraid, you guys inside are just talking leisurely. He's also a friendly guy, rest assured his pointy teeth won't bite you." Tiara said jokingly.
He just wanted to comfort Ai's fear in order to be brave and not worry about going inside anymore.
"Alright, Brother. But please wait for me here, I don't want to go home alone at night."
Magrib's time was coming soon and Ai wasn't sure this conversation was going short.
Tiara easily made an appointment, "I'll wait for you here, don't worry."
