As everyone laughed happily, he was alone standing in a corner with all the grief in his newly formed heart.
It was so broken, so heartbroken that he overheard the conversation with his sister-in-law last night. He was wounded, wanting to scream and cry as hard as possible but the worried faces of those around him made him look strong even though his heart continued to throb pain without bleeding.

Sasa refused to discuss personal matters here.
"Not here." Sasa refused.
Kevin asked patiently, "Then, where?"
Sasa pointed out, "Just get out." The answer is not to waste time.

"All right." Kevin then got up from his seat, led the way and stopped after arriving next to the entrance of Mega's house.

"I already know you've broken off our engagement." Sasa said starting the conversation.

He can't pretend to love Sasa when his feelings have slowly erased Sasa's tracks.
Sasa shook his head not angrily, but perhaps more precisely he was disappointed.

Sasa forced a smile, "Why do you prefer him over me?"

Kevin shook his head not knowing, "I only fell in love when I saw how sincere his heart was to God, the rest I couldn't say."
Sasa didn't understand, "So you think I'm this-"

Sasa nodded his head understanding. He knew that there was no turning back for the two of them because Kevin might as well have been with the girl.
"So when are you getting married?" Sasa asked with a forced smile.

"She rejected me and she doesn't want to be involved with me anymore." This answer surprised Sasa.
He really did not expect that what Mega said about the girl was true. He kept his promise to keep Kevin out of his life.

"I couldn't see him living happily with other men so I decided I would go to Cairo to continue my schooling. Maybe in 2 or 3 years I'll be back here with a healed heart. Then, what about you?" They were both wounded and took time to heal.

"I'm not decided yet. Maybe I need some time to think about it." Sasa replied trying to stay strong.
Kevin nodded in understanding. He did not want to linger here anymore let alone his presence would make Sasa even more hurt.
Therefore, he said goodbye to Sasa before returning home. Perhaps this is their last encounter in this life because the following years they will live life according to their respective roles in their respective worlds.
