I'm Not an Old Virgin

I'm Not an Old Virgin
Season II: Mahligai of Love (Chapter 16.2)

"Yes, Brother Kevin. We'll be right back at the boarding house." Ratna was the only one who answered.

Kevin nodded, a glance of his eyes past Asri who was much more reserved and docile than usual.

"It just so happens that I met you. Is there anyone here named Asri from Fatimah RA's room?" Kevin pretended not to see any Asri among them all.

Meanwhile, Sasa and Khanza compactly looked at Kevin in wonder because they were sure that Kevin already knew Asri. And Kevin should just say hello to Asri instead of pretending to not know.

"Asri is here, sister." Ratna then pulled Asri's hand to stand next to her.

Asri initially refuses to go forward but Ratna insists plus the other friends push her forward so she can't fight back.

"Asri," Call Kevin in his heavy voice.

"Ustad Vano and Ustad Azam entrust trust that on their wedding day tomorrow you will come to the city with me. Your two best friends want their date witnessed by you." Kevin conveyed the trust entrusted by his cousin and future brother-in-law.

Asri fell silent. He could not immediately answer even though this news was good news for all his dilemma in order to come to town to witness the sacred day of his two best friends. But his heart refused to come with Kevin.

His reason?

Oh, don't ask this again. He was struggling to forget the tall handsome man who was now standing a few steps in front of him.

Asri.

"I'm sorry, Brother." He said after making a decision.

His roommates could not help but be surprised, even Kevin who had raised high expectations earlier had to swallow the disappointment.

"You don't want to go?" He asked disappointed.

Asri shook his head."God willing, I'll go see them but maybe I won't go with Brother."

Kevin's still asking, "Why don't you come with me? If you are afraid to cause slander then do not be afraid because there will be Hana, Sasa, Khanza, and some more people so you will not be alone."

It is precisely this that increasingly makes Asri reluctant. In addition to being uncomfortable with strangers, he also does not feel good about Sasa. Shame to like a man who has been owned by a woman who is very good to him. It was as if he lacked self-esteem to the point of daring to like someone who already had another woman in him.

"I'm sorry, brother. I already have my own plans for the day so I won't be coming with Brother." Again, Asri refused Kevin's invitation.

Kevin can't say anything more. He looked at Asri helplessly, his mouth opened several times wanting to say something but there was not a single word that he managed to get out.

"Oh," Asri suddenly turned her head back as soon as she heard Adit's voice.

"Sister Kevin, I'll excuse you for a second." He immediately went to the back without waiting for an approval response from Kevin.

"Assalamualaikum, Brother Adit!" Call him immediately stop the steps Adit with his friends.

"Eh, waalaikumussalam, Asri." Adit was surprised also quite happy to see the arrival of Asri.

"It's Brother, I want to return Brother's jacket. I washed it clean and fragrant a few days ago, but I'm sorry I can just give it to you now Sister because I've been so busy for a few days." Asri said politely while giving Adit his jacket.

It was the jacket that Adit lent to him when he fell in the mud and only he could return it now.

Adit accepted it enthusiastically. Not because he was grateful that finally the jacket Asri returned but he was grateful for being able to meet again with Asri.

Though he had long warned of this encounter but could only come true today.

"Thank you, Asri. It's very fragrant." Adit said after inhaling the fragrance of roses from the fabric of his jacket.

"But honestly you shouldn't have to give it back because I already gave it to you." It's a fact.

Ekhem, like romance stories in the village, usually men will give important items to the woman as a sign that she is interested.

Asri shook his head in embarrassment.

"I can't, Brother. Men's jackets aren't women's jackets."

Adit,"...." Does Asri not understand the code he threw.

"Then I go back, brother. My friends are waiting there, assalamualaikum." Pamit Asri hurriedly left following her friends who were still on the spot.

When he turned around and saw Kevin was still there, the urge immediately arose to turn back to talk to Adit. Ah, this is so much better than he had to get stuck with Kevin and Sasa!

Is it too late to go back?

"You returned the jacket, but what about my sheath?"

Everyone,"...."

Seriate...
