The red?
Ai blushed immediately when she remembered the cold, heavy sound Ustad Vano had entered into her hearing earlier. It.it feels very warm.it may be hot!
Well, he had never felt this sensation before.
"Are you really okay? Why do I feel like your face is getting red?" Ask Asri again.
Ai immediately lowered her head hiding the red hue that was getting hot.
"It's okay, Asri. I'm fine." He's not lying.
Actually, Ai's heart was currently pounding very fast. He felt a nervous feeling mixed with longing that he had long craved. This sweet and warm taste continues to overflow in the heart. Makes his heart beat very fast to pump blood throughout the body. It gave off a sweet feeling that he had never felt before.
Vano Ustad. Inner whispered.
"But Asri," Ai switched the conversation so that the red hue on her face immediately disappeared.
"Ustad Vano said earlier, we should come to the mosque after lunch." Said Ai again nervously thinking about what punishment they would get later.
"Eh, really?" Asri looked confused.
"Yes, didn't Ustad Vano say that?" Because Ai lowered her head she did not know if Asri was currently looking at her with increasing confusion.
"When? Why didn't I hear him say that?" Asri remembered, even very well remember if he had lowered his head to obey what Ustad Vano said and even sharpened his two hearing so as not to have misunderstandings.
But from the bottom to the second floor, never once did he hear Ustad Vano ask them to the mosque.
"Didn't he say it when we were going up the stairs?" His voice grew smaller when he said this because again he remembered the cold and heavy voice of Ustad Vano that always echoed in his head.
"Are you sure?" Asri hesitated because she sure did not hear it at all.
Ai nodded confidently but did not dare to look at Asri's face. The heat he was trying to put out on his face somehow felt even hotter.
"He said that." Ai clearly heard it.
"Well, maybe I was so focused on the surroundings that I wasn't focused when Ustad Vano said that." He said think positive.
This might be his omission from being too busy thinking about people's opinions so as to subconsciously not listen to what Ustad Vano has to say.
But, to be honest he was hesitant about it because he believed he always sharpened his ears in order to hear everything Ustad Vano said.
Isn't it strange that only Ai heard it?
Or maybe Ai misheard considering that she had dazed on the stairs?
"Ai," Call Asri suddenly wants to tell Ai about what's been haunting her mind since.
"Yes?" Ai raised her head looking at Asri.
"Either why I think Ustad Vano often pays attention to ka-"
"Huss." Cut out the light sound beside her.
Ai and Asri compactly turned their heads towards the origin of the sound. It turns out it was their senior here.
"Take it a habit to think in a mosque instead of talking about unimportant things." His whisper politely told.
Ai and Asri immediately apologized to him. They were ashamed and had no courage to speak anymore. So, while inside the mosque they secretly recite in their hearts.
...🍁🍁🍁...
"Well, today Ustad Vano is so romantic!" They have finished the prayer and should be able to go down. But Ai did not understand why they still had not come down as well.
But even so he likes to listen about Ustad Vano. So, he was here silently bowing his head to listen to them talk about his idol.
"Oh my God, you are right. Ustad Vano today repeats three verses to 21 Ar-Rum. Makes me wonder during the prayer whether Ustad Vano is repeating it for someone or if he just wants to do it for no reason."
Ai subconsciously looked at the guardrail on the second floor. For the umpteenth time this heart is pounding thinking about Ustad Vano. Especially when praying earlier, that beautiful and loud voice..Ai guessed whether it was Ustad Vano?
It was the voice of Ustad Vano. He was shocked, never before had he imagined being able to listen to Ustad Vano read the Qur'an. Moreover, the verse that Vano repeated earlier is a verse that emphasizes about love.
"Letter of Ar-Rum verse 21.." His whisper.
He turned his face away, staring at the floor as he read the romantic verse that Ustad Vano had read earlier.
Wa min aayaatihiii an kholaqo lakum min angfusikum azwaajal litaskunuuu ilaiha wa ja'ala bainakum mawaddataw wa rohmah, inna fii zaalika la-aayaatil liqoumiy yatafakkaruun.
"And among His signs (greatness) is that He created pairs for you of your own kind, that you may tend and feel at ease with him, and He makes among you a feeling of love and affection. Verily, in this there are signs (of the greatness of God) for the people who think." (QS. Ar-Rum 30: Verse 21)
Isn't that very romantic?
Ai wondered who this romantic verse was for. He did not dare to hope that the person Ustad Vano thought of while reading this verse was himself because he knew very well how low his quality was.
He's not perfect, remember?
