When they entered the classroom, Ustazah who taught directly allowed them to enter without asking why they had arrived late. Perhaps Ustad Vano or Ustad Azam have explained the situation of the three of them so that the class still runs even though they enter.
However, again there is a strange atmosphere that Mega and Asri feel when entering the class.
They noticed that several pairs of eyes were watching Ai. While Ai who they noticed just quietly lowered her stool.
"What's this?" Asri's confused.
But he couldn't ask because he was studying. As a result of this confusion he saved first until finally after class finished he promised to find out exactly what was going on here and why they looked at Ai like that.
Unlike the previous days, today not a single classmate took the initiative to ask Ai about the lesson. Instead of asking Ai, they approached another girl who was not as popular today.
This continued until they went home from school.
Their roommates kept their distance, pretending not to see Ai's whereabouts here. It's confusing, Mega and Asri are obviously angry with this treatment but they can only endure it.
"May I know why you guys avoided us in class and went home from school?" Mega asked coldly to Ratna, the head of their room.
"Mega, don't misunderstand me. They-"
"Ai, shut up." Cut Mega cold.
Ai bit her lips to cry. They were already in their dorm room and had just returned to school. They had to take a break and change clothes before they could go to the food booth to eat.
"We never avoid you. Maybe it's just your feelings." Ratna wants to leave but is pulled mercilessly by Mega.
Today Mega is like their first impression, it's cold and unfriendly. He's obviously angry.
"Don't go yet, I'm not done talking." Said cold.
"Tell me honestly why are you avoiding us, huh? Otherwise I'll take this matter to Umi!" Threaten Mega cold pissed.
Ratna hesitated, she then glanced at Ai's pale face behind Mega. Today Ai rarely speaks in class, usually she is very active when it comes to lessons.
"Huh, okay. But let go of my hand." Pinta Ratna compromised.
Mega immediately let go of his hand.
Ratna looked towards the entrance.
"Is everyone here?" The children in the tense room saw Mega's angry face.
They thought there would be a fight so no one dared to leave the room.
"Almost everyone was here, except for Sari who had gone to the food booth first and Sulastri who was being treated in the medical room was accompanied by Herlina." Answer one of the girls.
Everyone else is there except these three.
"Well, since most of the people are already here then close the door because we'll talk about this matter." Ratna.
Ai held her breath, both of her hands clasped tightly onto the cloth of the robe that had just been replaced.
Mega frowned,"What rumors?"
He hopes this is not a rumor about Ai's secret. Otherwise this matter is no longer a trivial matter.
"Rumor that Ai is not a woman but a man who turned into a woman after transgender surgery."
"No way!" Gumam Asri denied.
How can Ai be called a man when she is clearly a woman. Transgender operations?
He had heard it on tv but it was in the drama not in the real world. Ai, this gentle girl might do that crazy thing!
Meanwhile Mega held her breath. Though he had tried to deny that Ai's well-guarded secret was not spread, but the current reality had disappointed him.
It was only fitting that Ai had become such a moody and it was fitting that everyone avoided her.
There are these rumors.
"Who spread these rumors?" Tanya Mega held her breath.
Ratna shook her head, "I don't know. This rumor had suddenly spread everywhere."
"Then you believed him?" Mega doesn't understand.
How could their friendship have been so shallow?
Ratna was embarrassed, "I don't want to but.what the rumors say seems to be-"
"How could that be true! Did you see it yourself? Have you ever confirmed it directly?" Cut Mega mad.
Finally he broke his emotions.
"But Ai's chest..." He hesitates to say it.
"This problem.O Allah, is it only because a woman does not have a chest as big as you have to be a benchmark whether she is a woman or not? Hey, who are you guys? God?!"
Ratna is overwhelmed by Mega's anger, seeing this one of her close friends come to her aid.
"It's not so, Mega. Ai is a rich man and we hear as long as people have money they can do-"
"I was Ai's friend at kindergarten school! I've seen all about Ai!" Cut Mega fed up.
"Wealthy people? No kidding. Is it just because Ai is a rich kid so you can judge her for some crazy act? God, why are your minds so shallow?"
"Mega no-"
"Let me finish what I want to say, after that you can say anything to refute me." For the umpteenth time Mega cut off Ratna's speech.
"You're saying that Ai is the son of a rich man? Yes, he was rich, even his family was very rich in the city. But do you know which father graduated? Yes, Ai's father is a graduate of Ar-Rahman boarding school B. And what about his family? I'll tell you! First uncle Ai is the owner of Ar-Rahman boarding school while second uncle is a graduate of Abu Hurairah boarding school! All the Ai family were good people, their religious knowledge was beyond doubt so how could they possibly let Ai get lost? How could they allow Ai to have transgender surgery?"
