I'm Not an Old Virgin
Season II: Mahligai of Love (Chapter 3.3)

"Assynogaal?" The voice of Ustad Vano made them stop all work.

They immediately stood up and answered Ustad Vano's polite greetings.

"Guard, Ustad."

Ustad Vano then put the black plastic bag in his hand on the steps of the mosque that was clean.

"Rest, drink and eat your food." He then looked at the time on his watch.

"After eating and drinking you can return to the dormitory because soon the Ashar prayer time comes in." His gaze was still with a voice and a cold expression on his face.

Ai and Asri were very hot.

"Good, Ustad."

"This food and drink," he said as he glanced at Ai's sweaty and somewhat pale bowed face, but even so the red color on his face could not be hidden.

"You need to spend. Otherwise, I'll send a letter to both of your parents for wasting food." Ustad Vano was not joking.

"God's Inshaa, we'll spend it, Ustad." Ai and Asri's promise was joyful.

They did not expect Ustad Vano to give them water and food given that this was a punishment.

"Hem, then excuse me, assalamualaikum." Greetings Ustad Vano went straight away after delivering them food.

Ai and Asri made sure Ustad Vano left first before going near the black plastic bag.

They opened it in no hurry. Inside there is wet bread from certain brands, lemper cake, steamed chocolate sponge, serabi, yellow rice as much as two medium-size mica with a sprinkling of chicken milk and appetizing quail eggs, this yellow rice hem was even still hot as if it had just been packed. Lastly, there are two bottles of mineral drink that are still sealed neatly untouched.

It tastes so good.

Meanwhile, Ai prefers to take the yellow rice that is still warm. When his hand touched the yellow rice, he suddenly remembered his father's cooking in every spare. I used to love making yellow rice for him. Dad's cooking is delicious and liked by all his sisters. Dad said when living in the cottage he often made yellow rice if there are important guests who come to the boarding house. You could say yellow rice is the habit of the pesantren cottage when you are still mondok because it is liked by many people.

"It's delicious" whispered Ai as she ate it.

It does not taste as good as Dad made but Ai is grateful to be able to eat it here.

"Do you know, Ai? In my village we rarely eat fancy food like this." Asri said he began to remember his life when he was in the village.

Ai's surprised, "Fancy food?" I thought this was a simple meal.

"Yes, Ai. My father was a farmer in the village and my mother was a merchant in the market. My mom sells our rice crops but this is not done every day. Maybe only during the harvest season. When I get home from the market, my mom's gonna buy this and this." He said as he pointed at the lemper cake and the yellow rice.

"But this wet bread and chocolate cake is expensive.1 pack of it already cost tens of thousands," he said, "So, he only bought a few times, he only bought a few times, the most is that we got it from distant relatives who came in touch."

Ai came to see the branded wet bread in Asri's hands. Honestly, he is not too interested in eating foods like this because Father and Mother rarely buy. In addition, Daddy and Mommy's cooking is very delicious, instead of buying them more often make food or cakes at home.

"I don't like eating food like this so you can eat it for yourself." Said Ai started eating her yellow rice.

Asri immediately waved her hand refusing, "Don't pity me, even though it's rare to eat it but that doesn't mean I want it so much."

Ai shook her head in denial. He did not speak before swallowing the food in his mouth.

"I don't pity you because this is the truth. Father and Mother rarely buy packaged food like this. Instead of buying they prefer to cook for themselves. Hem, this yellow rice is better than the wet bread in your hand." Ai said as she put more food into her mouth.

Asri was happy but she did not show it in person, instead of laughing she thanked Ai. From here he liked Ai more and more and wanted to make a deeper friendship with her.
