"It's a lie, it's a lie!" He cried out in anger, he found it hard to believe everything he had heard.
"How could it be him! How could that disabled girl be better than me! Obviously I am the best of them all even from this disabled girl though! I have everything that no disabled girl has! But why...why would Ustad Vano prefer him over me?"
Ustad Vano did not directly answer Almaira's question. The cold gaze with a flat expression on his face showed that he was currently extremely angry. He is angry that his girl is humbled, but anyone who feels better than anyone is worse than anyone.
"If I say honestly Ai is much more perfect than you. Starting from the heart, behavior, and manner of speech shows that she is a learned girl. He never dared to demean others just because he was smart or came from a rich family. But you're different, you put others down just because they were born different. What if he was born different? Did not the one who created it was God? Only Allah SWT created all of us in the best possible shape, so why are you so bold to taste Ai disabled just because God sent her into this world with little difference? Has not God created all things in the best of form, but why do you still dare to taste what God created is something 'disfigured'?" Ask Ustad Vano in a sharp and calculating tone.
He wanted to know what the answer of this 'perfect' man was when faced with the name of God.
Almaira trembling. He scrimped his clothes because he dared to reproach God's creation. It is clear in the Qur'an that,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said:
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِ نْسَا نَ فِيْۤ اَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيْمٍ
Laqod kholaqnal-ingsaana fiii ahsani taqwiim
"Really, We have created man in his best form" (QS. At-Tin 95: Verse 4)
However, his heart still refused to give up. He still could not accept if the girl was Ai, the disabled girl who would bring futility in Ustad Vano's life forward.
"Almaira, have you not heard that everything is in God's hands?" Cut Ustad Vano impatiently.
Almaira doesn't understand, "I've." Confused answer.
"Then why do you still dare to judge Ai's life before the decree of God comes? If God wills, all the theories you read and hear will be of no use at all. If God wills, no one can stand in the way of His will. And if God wills, however impossible it will mean nothing to Him." He then turned to look at Ai who was still down in hiding her face, no matter what her lover was thinking now, Ustad Vano could not guess.
But one thing is certain, he really hopes that God will take care of Ai's heart for her, strengthen Ai's heart so that she no longer doubts herself.
"And about my feelings this is the nature that God gave me. He gave me a sense that this was proof that I was one of the luckiest men in the world to be able to match his 'special' creation'. He confirmed my heart for Ai, he strengthened my heart for Ai to the extent that I did not want any woman but her. By Allah, except Aishi Humaira, I want nothing else. And I swore this in front of Mr. Kyai and Umi the day I refused our match. Other than Aishi Humaira, I don't want anything else."
No one could deny that every word of Ustad Vano had touched their hearts, every word of Ustad Vano's oath had melted their hearts, make them drown in admiration witness how sincere and gentle a feeling of love when based on a sense of faith in Allah SWT.
"Om Ali" Ustad Vano now flips his body in order to come face to face with Ali, the great man who made a pact with him 9 years ago.
"I have fulfilled my promise, stayed here for many years to learn while nurturing myself to be a leader worthy of leading Ai. And now, can I ask Om Ali to fulfill the promise Om promised me?"
