In Graz, Adela was currently sitting at her desk reading a letter in her hand that Berengar had written. As usual, it expressed his desire to meet his young fiancee, and of course, he bragged about his achievements in battle. The fact that Berengar had become a Count greatly delighted the teenagers. That meant she would become a Countess, like her mother once she married Berengar. Even though she knew Berengar was destined for great things, she did not know that she would become the Queen consort of a united German Empire one day. Therefore, he was satisfied with Berengar's gains and knew he was most likely very busy consolidating his strength.
Adela was unaware that the Teutonic Order was marching on Tyrol and was not worried about Berengar's future. She was at home, and she was safe, and that was all that mattered to the young girl. He was eager to visit Kufstein, but in a time like this filled with chaos and uncertainty, the road to his fiancee's house would not be safe. So despite his protests, he was locked up in Graz Castle under the orders of his family.
As far as he was concerned, his father, Count Otto, had marched with the forces of Duke Wilmar to Landshut after seizing Munich, which was the seat of power of the Duke of Bavaria. The war in Bavaria has entered a new stage of intensity as the Duke of Bavaria is angered by the fact that his home has been confiscated. Lucky for him, his family had left the city before it was fully captured and lived with the loyal Master in a safer territory in his territory. However, despite this, the Duke of Bavaria drove half of his army from the North back to Bavaria to stop the advance of the Austrian forces that had invaded his land.
For Adela, the war was unimportant because, in addition to some fighting in Tyrol, and Vienna, it had not spread to the Austrian border. Even if that was the case, Berengar's mighty army was essentially the defender of the house as the Duke went to war with his main army in Bavaria. If Graz was surrounded, Berengar would definitely save him.
After thinking about the situation, Adela wrote a letter back to Berengar to congratulate him on his impressive achievements and victories. He also expressed his desire to meet her again but explained her current circumstances that prevented such a reunion. By the time he finished writing it, the message was nothing more than a love letter similar to the one written by a young girl for his crush.
However, shortly after finishing writing her love letter to her fiance, Adela heard a knock on her door, which surprised her, spilling her ink container all over the letter and damaging it. He was very unhappy with this event but had no way of controlling it; therefore, he quickly cleared the mess before storming into the door with a pouting expression on his face.
After opening the door, Adela saw her eldest brother standing in the doorway. She was about the age of Berengar and had long been married to another Prince's son in Austria; in fact, she was, the young woman known as Ava von Salzburg had not been to her family home for a long time and was thrilled to see her youngest sister and how much she had grown up. After all, she lived with her husband and three children in Salzburg, Austria, where she married the Prince's eldest son.
Seeing how Adela had grown over the years, the beautiful and busty woman who was Adela's older sister quickly grabbed the little girl and squeezed her tightly with a wide grin on her face.
"Little Adela, you've grown so big!"
Adela tries hard to break away from her elder sister's clutches, but unfortunately, she, she could not escape the tight clutches that surrounded her and nearly suffocated to death as her tiny heart-shaped face crammed into Ava's huge cleavage.
It was only after Adela ended her resistance to the embrace that the tall, notched woman finally let go of her grasp. After that, Adela backed away from her over-affectionate and sullen older sister, which quickly made Ava realize something was going on in the background. She quickly deduces that there is a piece of ink-stained paper, and when Ava notices Adela's facial expression, she quickly smiles cynically and starts teasing her younger sister.
"Adela, are you maybe writing a love letter? I heard you've got a pretty capable fiancee!"
Adela's cute face quickly flushed red in embarrassment as she immediately denied the accusations in the most obvious attempt to cover up her actions.
"Of course not! Why would I write something like that?!"
"I heard he's very handsome. Do you mind if I have taste?"
Ava is not really interested in Berengar because she is happily married. Her husband was quite handsome and came from a high noble family, whereas Berengar was just a novice. Despite this, Ava could not resist the urge to tease Adela and anger her. Adela, of course, instantly falls into Ava's trap and behaves exactly as the devious woman expected; she pushes Ava away and starts yelling at her while slightly raging.
"Absolutely not! You're disgusting! Why would you suggest such a thing!?!
Seeing Adela reacting so sweetly to her jokes, Ava goes in for the kill; she only likes the cute expression on Adela's face when she gets angry.
"Why not? We are siblings; after all, it is natural for us to share! After all, I heard that your fiance already has a mistress, so obviously, you are not against the idea of sharing your man ... "
It touches the reverse scale of Adela, she is fine sharing Berengar with Linde as the two young women are up to a certain level of setting, and, but she would absolutely never let her older sister claim her husband. Of course, if Adela knew that Ava was teasing her, and in fact, looked down on her for marrying a man from a lowly noble family, he would only be angrier because his response to Ava's provocation was much more polite than he could have been.
"Get out of my room Ava; I have no interest in having this conversation with you and your filthy thoughts!"
Thus Adela struggles to push her eldest sister out of her room which continues to tease Adela on her way out.
"Oh comeon!"
"You're not fair!"
"Just one bite!"
and with that last remark, Ava was forced out of her room, and the door slammed behind her. While Adela was angry in her room, sitting back to the door and her face resting on her knees. Ava smiled happily across the thick wooden door; after all, her little sister was too cute when provoked in such a way!
