Resolve

After Berengar and Linde get reacquainted properly, they repair themselves and leave their room, where they begin to greet Adela and Otto. Otto was chatting with Liutbert, who was Berengar's chancellor and had traveled to Kufstein, the seat of power in Tyrol, to lead Berengar's affairs as he left.

Adela is hanging out with Henrietta and Hans, playing with a little baby in her room. Seeing Adela staring at Hans affectionately as if she was her own child made Linde smile. She fears that Adela will hate her son and try to get rid of him. However, instead, he treated the boy as a member of his own family.

Berengar watched as Linde walked towards his son and lifted him up, and gripped the boy to his mighty chest. Seeing both the woman and her little sister getting along well made Berengar happy; it was a charming sight to behold. So Berengar had only been watching the show for some time.

After a while, Hans was laid down, and Berengar took the girls away from the room so that he could sleep soundly. Adela had a big smile on her face as she talked to Linde about her son.

"Hans is so cute! He has Berengar's eyes and your hair; he's so perfect!"

Linde smiled at Adela's praise and hugged Adela tightly as if they were sisters.

"I bet when you and Berengar have your own son, he'll be just like his father!"

Berengar did not want to ruin the moment, but seeing Adela's cheeks flushed red in embarrassment from the compliment while almost suffocating in Linde's cleavage was an overly funny sight. He tried hard to refrain from laughing at the behavior of the two girls. Nevertheless, through superior determination, he maintained his composure and only smiled sweetly at them.

At this time, Linde noticed something strange and held Adela's chest to confirm her suspicions, that caused the girl's face to redden to a whole new level as she broke away from Linde's grasp and covered up the ********* that grew with her arm. Linde has a nasty grin on her face as she publicly states her findings.

"Adela, you're all grown up! We should shower together and compare the sizes!"

Embarrassed by such a discovery, Adela wanted to hide in a corner; however, with Berengar watching, Adela wanted to hide, she refused to back down and thus surprisingly made her own bold statement as she proudly showed her chest to Linde.

"You're just watching; one day, I'll be bigger than you!"

Linde laughed lightly at the young girls challenge and approached her meticulously before whispering in her ear.

"Perhaps, but it will take years, and until you grow up, Berengar is mine!"

Adela immediately began to frown upon hearing Linde's words; she knew exactly what Linde meant and was extremely envious of her. However, he was still a minor, and there was nothing he could do about it; all he could do was sulk in defeat.

Berengar had seen enough and awkwardly coughed before declaring his next move.

"You're all having fun; I'll go find Count Otto and see what he does."

With that, he quickly ran away before the girls could endure it; if he were to witness their rowdy actions any longer, he would probably lose his mind. So Berengar wandered through the Castle until he found Liutbert and Otto in the beer tasting dining room that had been produced by the Berengar factory.

Berengar quickly sat down at the head of the table and ordered one of the servants nearby.

"Get me my cup and a bottle of doppelbock beer!"

The servant did not dare to violate the mighty Count of Tyrol and quickly nodded before going to do as instructed. Liutbert and Otto knew that Berengar was confused and immediately interested in what was happening; finally, otto was the first to ask.

"So, how are the girls?"

Berengar sighed deeply before answering honestly.

"They're going to take a shower so they can compare sizes..."

Count Otto and Liutbert were already quite drunk at this moment and stared at each other before returning their gazes to Berengar. Liutbert was the first to speak his mind.

"Kc... That lucky bastard!"

Count Otto, on the other hand, immediately burst into laughter before revealing his thoughts.

Berengar was quite surprised that Count Otto spoke in such a way about his daughter; again, he had never witnessed a drunken man before. Obviously, he couldn't handle his booze, and for beer, the Doppelbock they drank was quite strong, with an eight percent alcohol content.

Finally, the servant arrived with Berengar's skull cup and a bottle of his favorite wine, which Berengar unhesitatingly poured into his cup before gulping it down. This was the first time Count Otto and Viscount Liutbert had witnessed what Berengar had done to Lambert's skull and were quite surprised by the results.

Although the trophy was made from the skull of another human, it was dipped in gold and encrusted with finely cut black garnet stone, the trophy rod used for grasping it was embedded perfectly in the lower part of the skull, it was as if an entire piece was carved out of a single block of solid gold. They could hardly believe such savagery could be so sophisticated.

As Berengar drank from the skull chalice, he noticed the gaze given to him, and Count Otto was the first to voice his thoughts out loud.

"What is that.. You know?"

Berengar nodded silently with an indifferent expression on his face. After he did, Liutbert was the next to speak.

"Did your family know?"

Berengar shook his head in response before gulping down the rest of the contents in his beer, he quickly poured more into his cup before replying.

"As far as they know that the little bastard is still alive and against the Golden Horde, I intend to make a letter from the Teutonic Order informing them of his glorious death. I'd rather save my family from the pain of knowing it. cunt back to Kufstein in an attempt to kill us all ..."

Count Otto nodded in agreement; if he were in a similar situation, he would probably lie to his family to keep their feelings up as well. In any case, Lambert's initial action disclosure sent Sieghard into a state of acute depression, such that he left Berengar in charge of the kingdom until the old Viscount finally gave up his position. He could only imagine the pain his brother-in-law would experience, knowing that his son was back with an army to take revenge.

After thinking about it, the older Count decided to turn the topic of conversation into something not too gloomy and instead asked about the upcoming plan.

"So, when will Conrad arrive?"

Berengar pondered it for a moment before giving the rough estimate he received.

"It could be the fastest tomorrow, but it could also be the slowest in three days. To be honest it depends on how many trade stoppages the Caravans did before they arrived in Kufstein."

Count Otto nodded and looked at the black beer that filled his glass before nodding in agreement.

"Good, I don't mind a few more days of drinking such a delicious beer; how did you get this?"

Berengar chuckled; he also liked the beer they were currently drinking, and as such, he gave the Count some upbeat news.

"I can give you the recipe, but it can take up to a year before a beer like that is ready to drink."

Count Otto's eyes instantly shone when he heard the news, and he nearly pounced on Berengar before calming himself down and sitting back down.

"Say your price!"

Unexpectedly Berengar simply shook his head in response and gave the man the best news he had heard for weeks.

"Let's just say it's a gift; be sure to buy me some finished product the next time I'm in your territory!"

Count Otto gave a thumbs up to Berengar with a big smile on his face.

"Agreed!"

Liutbert, on the other hand, was already in the process of brewing his own delicious beer. After all, Berengar had already started exporting his brewery dishes and recipes to the rest of Tyrol. Therefore, she did not need the recipe; she simply smiled at Otto; fortunately, this man was a relative of Berengar and thus could obtain some benefits like this for free.

So Berengar and the other two men spent the rest of their nights drinking and talking about important things in the kingdom. Meanwhile, Adela and Linde are currently taking a bath, negotiating the best way to divide Berengar's attention. Meanwhile, Conrad inched closer to Kufstein, and when he finally arrived, Berengar would soon find himself forced into the throes of war once more; after all, peace was never lasting.
