You're Not My Son

Lambert was in his room while reading a letter from Bishop Innsbruck about his request to intervene in the inquisition, which the Vatican received. In two weeks, the Inquisition will arrive and help him deliver a crushing blow to his cursed older brother. An evil smile appeared on the boy's face as he read the letter. He finally got the victory he wanted, or so he thought. Just as he was about to light the evidence in his hand with the candle, the door of his room opened, and the castle guards pointed their rifles towards the place he was sitting with their bayonets pinned.

Lambert immediately reacted by trying to finish the job of destroying the evidence, he did not know why they barged into his room, but clearly, he was in big trouble and was unable to for incriminating information as it existed. When the guards saw his potentially evidence-destroying actions, they quickly caught the boy before he succeeded. It thus obtained the letter as further evidence of his crimes and the depth of the conspiracy against the von Kufstein family.

Lambert struggled out of the clutches of the burly soldiers, but it was useless; there were too many of them clamping him down and putting chains around his limbs. Therefore, he cursed them as his face turned red with anger.

"What are you doing? Have you forgotten the family you serve? I'll chop off your head for this!"

Instead, he was roughly dragged to his feet and placed in front of the captain of the guards, who beat Lambert back violently due to his vile tongue.

"Baron has ordered us to make your arrest under suspicion of murder, attempted murder of a brother, and treason against the kingdom!"

Lambert's heart sank into the endless abyss as he heard those words. He realized at that moment Berengar had been one step ahead of him; for his father to order the arrest of the boy, Berengar must have provided substantial evidence, Berengar said, although he did not know how the bastard managed to obtain it.

Lambert only verbally attacked the guards as he was cruelly escorted to the Great Hall, where Sieghard, Berengar, and the others were waiting for his arrival.

"You fucking bastard! When I come to power, I will have you and your family brutally tortured to death for such treasonous activities!"

The boy was unable to accept such an outcome that had happened to him while he was only two weeks away from the arrival of the Inquisition and their investigation of the Berengar heretics. He was so close to winning this war, but instead, he was dropped on the edge of victory. Lambert nearly had a heart attack when he witnessed not only Ser Ingbert but Arnulf and his fiancee Linde standing by Berengar's side acting as his witness. He did not believe that so many of his allies had turned against him, especially the***** Linde. He actually had a worldly relationship with his brother behind his back! However, he pretended and acted as if he was unaware of the charges he was facing.

After the guards forced him to kneel before his father, Baron, who was looking at him with a look of disdain, the boy desperately tried to explain the way out of the precarious situation he was in.

"Dad, what does this mean?"

Sieghard glared at his second son; the boy was still performing an act even after all the evidence had been gathered. The guard captain approached Sieghard and handed over the letter they had seized from Lambert.

"My lord, your son Lambert is trying to destroy evidence of his crimes. If you read the letter, it very clearly states another attempt at Berengar's life by falsifying the evils of Heresy and Blasphemy and asking for the intervention of the inquisition."

Lambert was immediately frightened when he realized that the guards had caught him with red hands and began to cry as his father shouted at him with a level of anger that the boy had never witnessed before.

At that time Lambert showed the reassuring crocodile tears he endured as he tried to plead with his father about his innocence.

"I'm framed! It is evil to hear! She stole my fiancee and now plans to get rid of me so she can keep it to herself."

Sieghard almost snorted at the boy's answer. Could the boy really not find a better reason than that? On the other hand, Adela was present to witness the scene and was shocked by its entire development. He had no idea the scheme of these two brothers was cruel, and Berengar's accusation of stealing Linde was very worrying to him. Linde, who noticed the young girl's presence, denied the allegations.

Although she was eager to push her affair with Berengar on Lambert's face, the family had decided to hide the truth, and thus she could not reveal it in public. Either way, Lambert will be removed from today onwards, and he no longer has to marry that little liar. Instead, he denied the accusation with a convincing look as he also conjured up tears to make it seem as if he was heartbroken by the words of his fiancee.

"You motherfucker! I gave you my chastity, and you accused me of having an affair with your sister! What kind of woman do you think I am!"

When Adela heard those words, she heaved a sigh of relief; surely Berengar would not do such a terrible thing. Lambert, on the other hand, was on the verge of having an aneurysm of a level of anger that had accumulated within him. He fought desperately in his chain to break away from the clutches of the guards and attack the woman. However, the moment he lunged at her, she was dropped by a guard and pinned to the ground in front of the woman he once thought he loved. Staring at him with a murderous gaze, he spat out a curse on him.

"You're a fucking prostitute*r! Not only did you have an affair with my brother, but you also turned me into my family, and you still have the guts to deny it? I hope there's a special place in hell for you and your bastard son! "

Suddenly a loud voice echoed throughout the hall; it was Sieghard's voice furiously slapping his fist into the armrest of his seat of power before announcing his decision.

"Enough! Lambert, after seeing the evidence himself, I am Baron Sieghard von Kufstein finding you guilty of all charges and punishing you for murder, attempted fratricide, and treason. I hereby reject you from my family and order you to take the oath of the Teutonic Order. Perhaps you can redeem yourself in the eyes of God by spending the rest of your life in the true Crusade! Guards, take this evil child to the Teutonic State!"

With that decision, the guards caught Lambert and dragged him away, kicking and shouting. The last words spoken by the boy before he was forced out of the large hall were pleas for mercy.

"Dad! Please don't do this!"

Unfortunately for the boy Sieghard was too fed up with his actions and mercilessly answered this request.

"You're not my son!"
