With the rebellion already underway, Berengar had registered him to power. As the official Duke of Austria, Berengar now arranged for his troops to restrict the border from possible attacks, and of course, aided internal security. With this, Berengar had built an era of peace and security in Austria where he could successfully implement his reforms with little resistance.

Because of this, the young Duke was currently sitting in his office reviewing the expenditure report compiled by his House of Lords. Right now the biggest problem of his military competition is expanding the Navy. As for the Army, Berengar had ceased his mandatory military service and maintained his current size. In times of peace, he only enjoys volunteering. Therefore, it requires far less funds than before.

As for the delegated costs for conscription in the army, it is now set to fuel agricultural reform throughout Austria. Today, the Agriculture and Education sectors are the two most important parts of its newly formed peace budget.

By focusing on creating mechanical agricultural systems that are across the country and improving standard education, Berengar will theoretically be able to drastically improve its workforce and manageable parts of society. 

Currently, Berengar's focus is on implementing a four-field system, irrigation pipes, and phosphate fertilizers throughout the region. Although Tyrol had begun to develop such a strategy by a wide margin, the rest of Austria undoubtedly had no agricultural reforms. So Berengar starts with the simplest of focuses. The mass implementation of mechanization would have to wait several years for the system to catch up. 

While Berengar was working hard, he heard a knock on his door, and because of that, he quickly replied. 

"Come in"

unsurprisingly to anyone, the one who had visited Berengar during the work was none other than Linde. As usual, she was voluptuous, and currently, she was wearing a sky blue dress with white embroidery. This dress is in the distinctive fashion style that Berengar introduced to the world. It was based on the Tudor and Elizabethan style dresses of his previous life. 

However, the strange part of all of this is Linde's fancy jewelry; it is white gold with sky blue diamonds residing in it. natural material white gold; it should be made by mixing yellow gold and other materials such as nickel, silver, or palladium. Because Berengar had introduced the luxury substance into his jewelry industry as a way to appreciate silver and increase demand.Guiltiness, such luxury can only be found in Austria today. 

As for the incredible jewel, though, it was a very rare blue diamond and Berengar had paid a significant fee to adopt this precious gemstone from India through his Byzantine trade contacts to give Linde a set of Gems suitable for an Empress.

Dresses and gems were paired with sky blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair perfectly. Because of this, Berengar was surprised by her appearance when she arrived at his room, so much so that it made her fall. 

This was the first time she had shown a new set of jewelry since she received it, and Berengar was most memorable. He had every desire to get out of his seat and make love to the woman right then and there, but he was not one who lived by basic instincts, and thus he planned for himself before such an idea.

"Darling, is there something on your mind?"

Linde did not answer. Instead, he slowly approached the table where he was sitting on it. After producing Berengar by showing off a large offering, he placed his head with a miser in a hand he was unaware of before teasing him.

"Dear, where are you looking? My eyes are here!"

Seeing the girl playing tricks on him, Berengar gave a small laugh before grabbing the file and starting. The document calls for increased funding for Overseas Aid. However, Berengar and Linde knew for what this was actually asking.

Overseas Assistance is the expense report Berengar filed for all of his Intelligence contests.simple; his spy network officially does not exist, even though everyone knows he has it. For this network fund, he needs a front. Otherwise, there would have been a huge amount in his government expenditure tally that would have immediately arisen suspicions by the would-be audience.

Berengar therefore chose to allocate a certain portion of the national budget into "Herseas Assistance". Of course, all of these resources are used to find out, training, deployment, and other resources that intelligence Agent Berengar needs. Berengar quickly asked for funds before returning it to the face with a smile on the face; after doing so, he made a request from his beautiful young lover while giving her own documents.

"Darling, I want you to do something for me. It is time to reform the abusive spy network that we have developed a full-scale intelligence department. This is a list of the basic structures that will be formed, and you can change them that you think fit."

the structure is based on a diagram that has been seen online about the CIA's basic systems in a previous life. Linde's official rank and title is Director of Intelligence, and she can fill the ranks with anyone she deems fit for available positions. Another important feature of this construction overhaul is the establishment of training facilities for new agents. 

Linde looked at the design and nodded her head before Berengar approved.

"It may take a while, but I guarantee you, it'll be over for at most two years."

Berengar smiled and nodded at this; the overhaul he requested was to create a semi-modern intelligence agency in the mid-medieval era; it was not an easy task to accomplish. However, he doesn't believe Linde is competent enough to fulfill the mission and only listens before responding.

"I know you can do it!"

Linde is enjoying in terms of intrigue, and thus Berengar leaves the complete product to his imagination. After all, this government territory was a strong point Berengar, he had an outline from his previous life, and that was it. 

With that said, Linde will not leave the room and start working when Berengar holds her back.

"Oh, by the way, I have a gift for you!"

Linde quickly turned around and leaked Berengar with a hint of suspicion in her eyes. However, when he saw Berengar taking the gift from under the table, his sky blue eyes widened with excitement, and air instantly began to form within them.

In Berengar's hand was a small black kitten with golden eyes. It was extremely valuable, and Berengar took it to Linde before putting it in hand.

"I found this little girl on the side of the road and I think it's time you got another pet. I hope you don't mind. I lend you this time I won't let that happen!"

Linde immediately began caressing the little kitten with tears flooding her cheeks and a wide smile on her face as she hugged him tightly before speaking in a gentle tone.

"Hey, what a beautiful little cat! What name should I give you?"

"What about Nightshade?"

Linde reiterated her decision before her assessment of naming tendencies

"After poison? Seriously? You're bad at picking names!"

After expressing it affectionately and rubbing her chin, Linde found a name.

"I'll call you Midnight after your beautiful black coat!"

seeing Linde happy, Berengar smiled, and after doing so, her lover hugged her with a kitten placed on her shoulder. As Linde hugged Berengar tightly, she thanked him from the bottom of her heart.

"Thank you!"

Berengar started stroking his shiny strober blonde hair as he thanked us and nodded his head.

"Whatever you are..."

After saying that, Linde releases Berengar and brings his new kitten out of his office. He has a lot of work to do; in addition to keeping Hans and his new pet, he also has to work on overhauling and expanding the intelligence network, so he has little time to spare. He would thank Berengar for this gift later that night when the couple finished their daily work. 

As for Berengar, he returned to his desk, where he continued to approve national praise. For now, he has a lot of reforms to enact. During the document, the one he could happily rejoice in was reincarnated into this alternate world. If he had not died in Afghanistan in his previous life, it is likely that he would have lived forever alone and in the military.

But now he had everything he could ask for, but it was not enough. The flames of his ambition had flared, and there was no rest for a person like him. Thus he would work tirelessly in the days to advance the Duchy of Austria into a new era.

The industrial era was in sight, and he had just started to pierce through its surface. However, before the Industrial Revolution could take place on its soil, the Agricultural revolution had to take shape. So, for now, he once again focused on Agriculture.
