Birthday Lambert Part 2

After finishing the extravagant breakfast, Berengar departs from the family; they have plenty of plans to prepare and lavish parties to prepare for the upcoming evening. Because of this, Berengar used this time to execute his plans with Linde. He already enjoys his keb*rs*maan at ka*ar ma*di. So he met Linde in secret on several occasions that day in various parts of the castle, where the page*did the world v*dn they were on*ma.

While that was happening, Lambert vented his pent-up anger at the training puppet with his long sword. The 16-year-old did not believe that today, he had been humiliated to such an extent by his brother. Although she wanted to keep an eye on Linde, the lic*k girl ran away when breakfast was over, and despite her efforts, Lambert eventually failed to track her down. Her perfect porcelain skin shadow wet me*up with water ma*at ga*nnya mene*pel tightly on le*uk paradise*nya could not escape his mind. Although normally it would be a pleasant memory to have, the scene that happened afterwards where Berengar was equally limp*ap did nothing but create para*oma as she continued to suspect hub*ngan between the two.

The young master wanted to settle this, even though he could not. Accusing Linde without evidence will only create further tension between her and her father. Not managing the damage it would inflict on the fragile relationship he currently has with his fiancee. To be honest he didn't want to know the truth if that was what he suspected. The boy wanted to tear his own heart apart as he*freely le*er the Training puppet,* it with a perfectly placed attack. In her mind, she imagined the scene releasing ke*ala Berengar from the smell of her*, and at that moment, she felt cathartic. He swore to himself that sooner or later, he would take revenge on his older brother for the pain and suffering that had befallen him today. Of course, it didn't even go into the boy.

After a long training session, Lambert entered the bathtub, where he cleansed the whites of his milk from the sweat and dirt accumulated throughout the violent display. As she stared at her shadow within the pool of water, she couldn't help but feel inferior in appearance compared to her elder brother; even though she had a youthful charm by her side, he did not have the features of the prince that Berengar had blessed. On the contrary, despite being young, his face and body were stronger, as he possessed the characteristics of a knight. That is attractive in itself, and many women prefer such a look. However, his fiancee clearly preferred the majestic feature of Berengar, which was under the boy's skin.

After coming out of the bathroom, she visited the kitchen where the chefs were busy baking a massive German cheesecake for the celebration to be held later that evening. She had no idea that Berengar and Linde were enjoying each other's embrace in her bed at the moment. So he kept walking around the castle. Lately, though, he noticed that the guards inside the Castle had shifted from ordinary troops decorated with brigandines and spears to men wearing flamboyant Berengar militia clothes while carrying their hand cannons. He is unaware that his father has chosen Eckhard to be his next marshal, as it has not been made public. However, unlike before when Lambert laughed at the peasants in their filthy clothes and ridiculous hand cannons, their current equipment they took out began to intimidate Lambert. The men were clearly wearing partial plate armor with breastplates, backplates, gorgets, and helmets, all of which were made of blackened steel. These guards paid no attention to Lambert as he passed by.

Lambert walked out to the castle fortress and saw more of these men acting as guards on the castle walls. They were currently in the process of aligning the Berengar cannon to the fortress. The cannon is not a 12-pound field gun used by the militia, but the 24-pound siege cannon developed by Berengar and recently produced with the aim of being a static defensive cannon mounted on the walls of the Castle. With Eckhard appointed Marshal, even if it was not common knowledge at this time, the man had begun transitioning the old garrison into Berengar training and equipping them with modern equipment. In fact, the people Lambert saw as the castle staff were the same people who had always acted as garrisons; they were only equipped with the latest weapons from Berengar' s design and are being trained in its use. Of course, some Berengars had replaced those who had been expelled from the Castle garrison for being loyal to Lambert, but most of the troops stationed at Kufstein Castle were the same people who had always been there.

After traveling across the Castle observing the changes that were taking place, Lambert inevitably felt that Berengar was victorious in the war. They fought for the succession of their father's titles. Lately, his allies have begun to back down from his plans after the death of Marshal Friedhelm, and enemy forces are now encircling him inside his own home. Things are not going well for the lads, who are now in a difficult position. Count Lothar of Tyrol continued to pressure the boy to make another assassination attempt on Berengar's life, but it became increasingly difficult to do so. Berengar has won the hearts of the people. As such he could no longer rely on them to poison him, the castle guards loyal to himself had now been replaced by the troops loyal to Berengar, who had been killed, and the man is very likely to win her fiance and use it to spy on her. As long as Berengar remained in Kufstein, it would be difficult to take his life.

Worse yet, though, Lambert now realized that rumors were spreading about Berengar's divine power to see the future and that the discovery he had applied was a gift from God to the German people that would lead them to new era. Many ordinary people began to treat him like a saint. Lambert suddenly gained enlightenment if he could not get people to turn on Berengar, and the feudal power no longer supported Lambert. There was only one potential ally he could summon, who had enough power and authority to end Berengar's life. A demonic smile appeared on Lambert's face as he realized that this war was far from over. If he could gain the support of the church and accuse Berengar of heresy, then it would not matter if he was the son and heir of the Baron; the Inquisition had the power and authority to deal with potential heretics, he said, no matter their social status! Therefore, he quickly rushed to his room to draft a letter to Bishop Innsbruck to make the accusation of Heresy against his elder brother.

By the time Lambert reached his room, Berengar and Linde had already moved to another part of the castle to continue their debauchery day. Therefore, Lambert was completely unaware of what had just happened in his own tid*r place. He quickly climbed up to his desk and took out parchments, quill pens, and some ink where he began compiling letters for a plea for help from the Bishop. In this letter, Lambert raised concerns about Berengar as the embodiment of the seven deadly sins and associating with witches and demons to gain forbidden knowledge that allowed him to "create" the new device applied in Kufstein; and how Berengar spread slander about his divinity. Lambert's list of concerns is extensive and almost entirely fictitious.

After compiling the letter, he took it to a local pend*ta at the ge*eja in Kufstein. Today, the Deacon Ludolf works with the priest in ecclesiastical matters. So Ludolf, a high-ranking member of Berengar's spy network and a trusted ally, was present when Lambert rushed in to get signatures from local clergy for his approval of the matter.

"Dad, I have had some concerns about my brother's erratic behavior lately and have decided to draft a formal investigation into the Bishop so that we can find out the truth about the matter. I'd like you to read about my concerns and give your support."

"Lambert, my son, you have always been a faithful servant of the Lord, and I will gladly support your letter to the Bishop. If what you say is true, there is an urgent need to involve an investigation. We can only pray that the devil and his devotees are cast out of your ancestral hall and that the glory of God may be returned to this land."

Lambert smiled gracefully and bowed to the Priest

"Thank you, Father; I know I can count on your support in these difficult times!"

Afterwards, the priest saw Lambert leave as he ran back to the castle to send a letter to Bishop Innsbruck. When he returned, he was given a strange look by Ludolf, who inevitably voiced his concern.

"Dad, you cannot believe that even one thing written in the letter is the truth. Obviously the boy was planning to take over his brother's position as Barony's heir!"

The priest frowned at Ludolf as he severely punished him for his words.

Whether it is true or not, it is not the business of the Church. If Berengar inherited his father's position, he would use the power in his hands to get rid of the influence of the Church. The minds of the people, especially the nobility who stood to benefit from them. It is better to have a God-fearing Baron like Lambert who will obey the will of the Papacy than a godless ka*ir like Berengar who will challenge the authority of the Holy Ta*ta ."

At that time, Ludolf knew everything Berengar said about the Church was true; they were incomparably corrupt. They were willing to torture a seemingly righteous person to death over unreasonable claims just because he posed a small threat to their power. Kufstein's words finally convinced Ludolf that the Church needed reform. However, he stood there in silence, only nodding his head at the priest's words. For now, he had to warn Berengar about the dangers that lay ahead. Ludolf would one day realize that this one decision by the authority of the Church would cause Berengar to view the Papacy as the greatest obstacle in his rise to power and would lead to endless bloodshed in the struggle for authority secularized.

After Lambert returned to the Castle, he quickly sent a letter to Bishop Innsbruck, though it would take some time to agree to the inquisition's interference in Kufstein. Lambert was convinced that this action would lead his brother to his death. Because in his mind, how could a lowly Baron heir oppose the power of the inquisition? If Lambert knew what his brother would have for the church troops upon their arrival, he would be fouling himself for fear of the crazy actions Berengar was willing to take to ensure his dominance.
