On the night that Eckhard had eliminated the Bavarian army assigned to attack the Northeast border, Berengar became so drunk while talking to Duke Otto and Liutbert, such that Adela was currently pouting at her father, blame him for Berengar's current state.
"Dad, why is your influence so bad on Berengar! He shouldn't drink too much!"
Berengar was comforted by the fact that he was not scolded for his actions, but his future wife had blamed her father entirely. It only showed that Count Otto must have had a habit of excessive drinking.
As for Liutbert, he was also given the contemptuous look of a young woman who was displeased by his younger sister. He knew that Berengar was waiting for the arrival of an important guest, probably the next day. Therefore, she was unhappy with Berengar's actions; however, she held her brother responsible considering he also had a drinking problem.
Berengar was usually a responsible drinker; he liked the taste of beer and had a high tolerance for alcohol. Therefore, he rarely gets drunk, nor does he get drunk often. However, the three men were in a terrible condition at the moment.
While Linde and Adela had an important conversation in the bathroom, these people had been drinking, and they had consumed a lot of the looks. Eventually Linde voiced her concerns as well.
"Liutbert, as Rector, you should know better than to drink too much, especially considering you tied Berengar into your mess!"
Berengar enjoyed the sight of the two men being scolded; however, as a Count, he had to protect the reputation of his subordinates. That's how he started talking. However, as he did so, his words began to be vague, even though he himself did not recognize such a thing.
"Lin..dela.. I erm.. alright! I'm doing fine! I can still.. drink!"
Seeing Berengar could no longer finish the exact sentence, Linde simply walked up to him and held onto his shoulder, helping him stand up from his chair.
"Darling, it's time to rest. There is an important guest who might be coming tomorrow, and you should be in good shape!"
Although Berengar wanted to deny that he was drunk, the moment he stepped up, he started to wobble, and eventually, his legs slipped off from underneath him, causing him to fall onto Linde, dragging him to the floor with him.
The way Berengar landed was with his face pressed onto Linde's large breasts, which caused a commotion. Two other drunken men began cheering for Berengar, with Count Otto being the first to praise him.
"That's my son!"
When Adela heard her father say something outrageous, she verbally attacked him.
"Dad! Do not encourage such rude behavior!"
As for Liutbert, he started pouring another drink as he cheered for Berengar
"Show my brother who's boss!"
Hearing such words, Linde instantly became angry at her brother and gave him a cold look that immediately silenced the man. As for Berengar, he was in no condition to wake up and just nudged his head further into Linde's mighty cleavage. He was completely unaware of what he said next.
"Very soft..."
Linde quickly realized that Berengar was trying to use ********** as a pillow and immediately started flushing in embarrassment.
"Honey, not in public..."
Looking at Linde who was starting to stir from that humiliating look, Adela was instantly fed up with the inappropriate sight before her. He quickly stormed to Berengar's side, where he proceeded to help him up and down from Linde.
Only after the two women supported Berengar did he get dragged and enter his room. Upon reaching her room, the two girls helped her to the bed, where Linde wiped the sweat off her eyebrows; she was not used to such heavy lifting.
"Thank you, Adela; I'll take it from here!"
Realizing what the young lady was talking about, Adela immediately began to blush and nod her head. Although he was curious, he knew it was inappropriate for him to stay any further, and thus he quickly escaped from the scene.
Berengar, who was barely conscious, instantly realized the tenderness and once again used Linde's chest as a pillow; now that they were alone, Linde did not care how Berengar used his body; therefore, she clutched her lover to her chest as if she was breastfeeding her child and quickly fell asleep beside him.
...
Hours passed, and dawn broke in the sky, yet Berengar was still asleep; it was not unusual for him to sleep for such a long time. However, after drinking excessively like he did the night before, he managed to sleep until noon.
When she finally opened her eyes, she saw that she was being hugged tightly in the chest of Linde, who was asleep next to her; unlike Berengar, Linde could sleep as long as she wanted, even while awake. Since she had no desire to end this harmonious scene as early as possible, she continued to rest with her lover.
The beautiful young lady opened her eyes and mocked Berengar after she finally forced herself out of her cleavage.
"You really had fun last night!"
Berengar did not remember the night before. Instead, his head was throbbing as if he had been hit repeatedly with a four-pound sled. So he struggles to regain his clarity as he listens to Linde's provocations. After concluding the events that had happened the previous night, he finally decided to ask the woman.
"Ugh, what did I do last night?"
Linde simply crossed her arms and sneered at him pityingly
"You drink a lot, then you keep drinking until finally, you can't take it anymore. Adela and I have to drag you back to our room. If I knew it by leaving you alone with my idiot brother, and alcoholic Adela. father that you would drink until fainting, I wouldn't have spent long in the bathroom with Adela ..."
Berengar's memories began to return to him, to the point where he recalled some embarrassing scenes from the previous night. Finally, she got off her bed and put on her luxurious clothes, where Linde followed her, the entire time, she had a mocking expression on her face. He could tell from the way he behaved that he was in a lot of pain at the moment, and he felt it was appropriate to act like an idiot.
Eventually, Linde had to help Berengar get dressed because despite the twelve-hour break, she still felt dizzy because of the amount she had drunk the night before. After some time, the couple walked into the dining room, where Count Otto and Liutbert were sitting with similarly pitiful expressions. Fortunately they were also severely lacking in their mental abilities and could hardly remember how foolish they had acted the night before.
Berengar sat down at the table and immediately made a request to the staff who met his needs.
"Bring me a bottle of milk!"
The servant looked at her with a strange expression before confirming
"One whole jug? Are you sure you don't want to start with a trophy?"
Berengar held his head in the palms of both his hands as he lightly swept his fingers over his eyes and blindfold before confirming his request.
"Yes, one whole pitcher, you can forget about that goddamn trophy!"
The servant was surprised to see how Berengar was snapping at him. Usually, he is very friendly. He must have slept enough last night. Berengar was rarely drunk to the point of being drunk, but he became very impatient and evil when such a thing happened. So the waiter immediately went to the kitchen to pick up the milk jug before returning and handed it to Berengar, where he proceeded to inquire about his next task.
"Does Your Majesty need anything further?"
Berengar did not even need to think about it and quickly gave his response.
"Baked bread, eggs that are too diluted, and a little bacon. Make it!"
The waiter quickly nodded before running into the kitchen to inform them of Berengar's request. Berengar's hangover cure usually consists of coffee with milk in it, toast, and eggs, and some form of meat. However, right now, he did not have access to coffee; it would take some time before such a thing naturally entered Europe. Right now, he was eager to go on expeditions around the Cape of Good Hope and into the Horn of Africa, where he could colonize Ethiopia so that he could seize their huge coffee forest for himself.
As for the other people present at the table, they were as pitiful as him, or they were laughing at the stupidity of humans. After all, Berengar had important matters to watch out for today, and he urgently needed to form before Conrad's potential arrival.
