During the time in which Arnulf von Thiersee lived at the Castle in Wildschonau, Linde had visited the modest noble house of the Heltzer family. The Knights of the Landers serving Baron Sieghard and the von Kufstein family. When Lady Linde von Habsburg knocked on the door of the manor, Ser Ingbert was surprised to see her presence. Never in a million years did he imagine that the angel of his heart would knock on his own door. Yet here she was, appearing before him like a goddess descending from heaven.
The young man quickly took control of himself and allowed him to enter his house. He immediately prepared wine for the young woman he so desperately wanted and asked the reason for her arrival.
"I'd have to say I'm surprised to see you here. Is there a reason, in particular, you came to my humble abode?"
Linde looked around to see if anyone else was nearby before asking her question. Her perfect porcelain skin glistened in the sunlight shining through the window.
"Is there anyone else here?"
Ingbert shook his head as he placed the wine glass on the table in front of the young enchantress before taking a sip on his own. However, to his disappointment, he refused the drink.
"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't drink right now."
He immediately pointed to his stomach; at first, he did not understand what he meant, but after a while, he quickly realized the secret he was trying to tell him. His face immediately became reddened as he understood what he meant. He cursed Lambert in his mind for being lucky enough to impregnate such a heavenly beauty. Finally, he forced himself to smile and hiss through his teeth.
"Lambert is a lucky man ..."
Linde could not help but smile at the man's performance, his jealousy was obvious, but of course the young man in front of him should know that he was in a league far above his own. After pushing the wine glass from himself, Linde began to twist the boy to do his bidding.
"That's exactly why I'm here... I'm hearing that you're thinking of stepping back from Lambert's plan. Is this true?"
Although Ingbert was unwilling to admit his cowardice in front of the woman he wanted, he had no choice. The way he looked at her sent her into a trance where he could not deny her wishes.
"... Thatvs right... So, did Lambert send you here to ensure my loyalty?"
The thought of how he could obtain such knowledge did not even cross the mind of that foolish brat in the slightest. Instead, Linde used the boy's affection for her to win her over for Berengar.
"In fact, quite the opposite."
Ingbert looked at him with a blank expression; he could not say in the slightest what he meant by such a thing. Before she knew it, Linde had trained her acting skills and started to shed tears as she said the sentence to be bitten by Ingbert.
By this time, the aqueducts were fully functional, and they began to flow the face of the heart-shaped god Linde. The sight immediately made Ingbert angry. He could not accept that Lambert had abused such a kind and considerate woman who took him into the arms of someone like Berengar. Although Ingbert did not particularly like Berengar, the fact that Lambert would put his hand on Linde angered him, and Linde's acting was more than enough to convince him to switch sides. Therefore, he tried to calm down the woman who was crying in front of him.
"I promise, I will do everything in my power to make it so that that bastard will never touch you again. With what I know, I can act as a witness to Lambert's betrayal and ensure that he is in no position to harm you or your son!"
Linde continued to sob, but after a while, the tears stopped as she questioned Ingbert's sincerity.
"Thank you?"
Ingbert nodded with a stupid grin on his face as he confirmed his loyalty.
"Of course!"
Upon hearing that her plan was a huge success, Linde jumped into Ingbert's arms and hugged the young man platonicly as she thanked him for his help.
"Thank you! Thank you very much! I know I can count on you!"
Ingbert had no idea that she was being manipulated by the beautiful face and the man behind her. Instead, she enjoyed the brief moment of Linde wrapping her arms around her with a satisfied smile on her face. However, the moment was too short for her to like, and she quickly escaped from her grasp. After doing such a thing, she internally felt like she needed to take a bath. Upon regaining consciousness, Ingbert voiced his concerns.
"Do you want to stay? I'm sure I can find a place for you?"
Linde shook her head and put on a serious expression.
"Unfortunately not; if I go too long, Lambert will start to suspect that I am planning something. I must return immediately to the Castle, or I must bear the murkana."
Although Ingbert was disappointed that his visit was so short, he was happy to only help the young woman and would soon meet with Berengar to discuss Lambert's downfall. Just like that, Berengar has obtained another key piece of evidence in his future efforts to bring justice to Lambert and his dastardly scheme.
After leaving the manor, Linde boarded her carriage and went towards Kufstein Castle; she could not wait to tell her master the good news. Hopefully, he will repay him for the effort he has to put in. Of course, he might also punish her for hugging another man, even if it was just a friendly gesture. Berengar was quite possessive of his property; after all, he would enjoy the treatment he received from the man he loved.
