A Discussion That Is Not Too Civil

Right now, Linde is standing face to face with Adela, the day is coming for Adela to come home, and she is in a heated debate with her rival. The little girl had long enough suspicions about Linde and Berengar and their forbidden relationship. However, he has denied it to date. Currently, both are at odds with the fact that Adela will return to her homeland, while Linde will remain in Kufstein, which becomes a thorn for Adela. Constantly reminds her of the possibility that Berengar would sleep with the teen seductress if she left the two of them alone.

Lambert's accusations at his place of belief also left a deep impression on him. He seems convinced that Berengar is the father of Linde's son, and Adela as such has become quite ferocious in the petty quarrel between the two girls. Berengar, of course, was not present for the conflict. Otherwise, he would have acted as a mediator and made the two of them calm down. However, as she could not do so, Adela began to raise her voice at Linde in frustration.

"What right do you have to stay in Kufstein now that your fiance is gone!?!"

Linde sneered towards Adela, she knew the little girl was jealous of her, and she was not afraid to show it to Adela's adorable little face as she deflected the question.

"Oh, my Adela, are you maybe jealous?"

The idea that Adela would be jealous, though accurate, made her angry, and she quickly caught the bait; she was not an experienced debater, as is evident from the ease of falling prey to Linde's trap.

"Jealous? That doesn't make any sense. Why should I envy you!"

Linde leaned closer to Adela, showing off her mighty chest in an act of superiority as she mocked the girl further away.

"Obviously, you envy the fact that I can stay here on Berengar's side while you have to go back to Graz. Don't worry; I'll take good care of your fiancee while you're gone ..."

Strawberry blonde Vixen deliberately emphasized the last part in great detail as she whispered in Adela's small ears in an attempt to make her even more angry. Even though Linde has accepted her role as a lover and that she will never be Berengar's bride, she still considers teasing her master's little fiance as fun. Of course, if Berengar was here to witness such a scene, he would punish Linde for his actions.

Adela's face turned red like a strawberry as she imagined all sorts of naughty things between Linde and Berengar and instantly felt embarrassed. He started stuttering as he found it difficult to form sentences in his disturbed state.

K... You're... You prostitution*r! How dare you!?!"

Linde's face no longer smirked in satisfaction but turned furious as she stared at Adela with the intention of slapping the little whore. Being referred to as such a term deeply offended Linde and her pride as Berengar's lover; after all, she had only been with one man. Nevertheless, she refrained from doing backhand to Berengar's fiancee because she knew she would be completely unhappy with her actions if she did. So he forced himself to calm down and refute Adela's harsh words.

"Oh little Adela, you are so wrong about that; I have only ever shared my body with one man. I'm quite the opposite of what you claim..."

"Oh yeah, and who is it!?!"

Linde waits for this answer and ends the quarrel with another vague answer that will surely make Adela even more angry; this is her way of punishing the little girl for daring to call her by evil terms.

"I'll leave that to your imagination."

With that said, Linde walked away from Adela with a cynical smile on her face; she knew she had won this argument. Of course, Adela was furious when she saw Linde leaving her. However, she soon realizes that she can never get an answer from Linde about why she was allowed to stay in Kufstein. He can't help but curse himself after Linde disappears.

"Pelac*r it!"

On the other hand, Linde has an urgent matter to attend to and proceed to her residence, where she begins to communicate with her subordinates in the spy network she has helped build, tell them to step up propaganda efforts across the German-speaking region. Sooner or later the story of Berengar's virtue to his people and the evil he suffered at the hands of his younger brother with the support of the church will spread by word of mouth through Tyrol and Trient, from there travelers and merchants will spread the story to all corners of the world. The stories of Berengar's treatment of ordinary people in his territory would make the Barony of Kufstein a common destination for refugees when war finally broke out.

On the other hand, Adela lamented the coming day when she had to return to Graz and currently spend more time with Berengar; right now, this time, he complains about Linde and wants an official answer from Berengar about why he was allowed to stay.

"Look, why was Linde allowed to stay now that Lambert was gone and not recognized? She was no longer engaged and had no further ties to this Land!"

Berengar saw Adela's pouting face and inevitably pinched her cheek as she reprimanded him for approaching Linde about such a question.

"I know you're jealous, but don't worry, he's got a legitimate reason to be here. His father was a supporter of my brother's plot and did not believe I would continue to do business in good faith now that his involvement had been revealed. So he has decided to leave it here in Kufstein to oversee our trade. Moreover, she could not remarry now that she was pregnant. The least I can do is keep Ba. that she is no longer there to raise him."

Berengar had almost experienced a Freudian error at the time, and it did not escape Adela's attention, who frowned deeply when she heard Berengar declare that he was going to raise Linde's child. She cursed that she was too young to get married; otherwise, she was the one who was pregnant with Berengar's child at this time. Such a thought immediately caused his face to redden in embarrassment. He quickly rushed out of Berengar's room in an attempt to hide his embarrassing thoughts, leaving Berengar who was staring at the doorway, thinking to himself.

'What did I do to upset him now...?'
