Steel Empire
My Dear Brothers

As the Teutonic Order and Berengar Army clashed in the field below, Berengar stared at the bloody scene with a grin. Everything went according to plan. Berengar investigated the melee below through the spyglass, desperately searching for Lambert's location, unfortunately for him, Lambert wore a full set of plate armor, and his great bascinet protector dropped; therefore, Lambert wore a full set of plate armor, it's not easy to find him in a chaotic scene.

Lambert, on the other hand, was currently engaged in a battle against one of the Berengar infantry; as the soldier thrust his bayonet towards Lambert, it was, the boy quickly dodged the attack and lunged with his long sword through the gap in the man's helmet and into his eyes, killing him on the spot. Lambert had trained his entire life in the art of battle, and although bayonet training was much simpler than a sword against a true master, it was too easy to slash through Berengar's professional army.

The surviving knights of the order's army besieged Lambert, and they engaged in a brutal battle with Berengar's army. When grouped together, they became easy targets for the grenades, one of which threw a grenade into the mixture that exploded shortly afterwards. Destroying the nearby knights and forcing the others to direct their efforts to protect their wings. Lambert was too busy in battle to realize that the explosion had torn through the glass of his helmet, revealing his face, which was visible from afar by Berengar and his binoculars. An evil grin appeared on Berengar's face as he looked at Lambert from a great distance away.

"That's it, little brother! It's time to pay for your sins!"

After putting down his binoculars, Berengar unsheathed his heavy cavalry sword and took out one of the pistols from his saddle before declaring to his cavalry troops with a loud shout.

"God is with us!"

The famous war cry was the signal for the attack, as thousands of cuirassiers began descending on the Teutonic order surrounded from both sides of the ravine. Shortly after, a new wave of gunfire was unleashed by the pistols in their hands as they charged into the battlefield. The stray bullets went in various directions; due to the chaotic situation, it was unknown if any Berengar troops were injured or killed by friendly fire. However, the attack was effective in paving the way towards close range.

After crashing into the steel walls, which were the forces of the Teutonic Order, the cavalry began to cut their way through the large hordes of enemies. Berengar led his army straight to Lambert, who was busy fighting Berengar's grenade ranks, which were a much more elite group of soldiers than standard-line infantry, and thus, were, presented a greater challenge to him and his knights.

However, Before Berengar could reach Lambert, the chaos of the battle affected his trajectory. As he rushed towards his brother on horseback, a lucky spear pierced through the gap in Erwin's armor and stabbed himself into the horse's skin, severely injuring the mighty beast. Berengar fell to the ground amidst the chaos and found himself surrounded by a spearman, where he quickly deflected the approaching punch into his chest protector, which he knew would prevent him, and he quickly deflected the blow, and use this time to stab the 38 inch blade of his Damaskus steel.

Berengar of course had the advantage of range because his one-handed sword was longer than his long sword; therefore, it was, he skillfully moved out of his position after killing the man and slashing the poorly guarded retribution rod that blocked his path. Looking at his target of rage just a few meters in front of him, Berengar shouted over the chaotic sounds of battle in an extremely loud voice would even attract the attention of Lambert whose long sword was currently tied with a grenadier bayonet.

"Lambert! I've come to take your head!"

Seeing his brother's voice mocking him in the distance, Lambert quickly untied Grenadier's bayonet and thrust his sword into the man's face before staring at Berengar, who was standing a few meters beside his dead horse.

Lambert directly attacked his older brother while calling out to him

Berengar smirked wickedly as he collided with Lambert's long sword; what the boy said was true, Berengar had taken everything from him, but in his eyes, it was, it was a price to pay for plotting against him many times. Therefore, he did not feel guilty for his actions. Lambert quickly slashed at Berengar, who was fended off by the striking-looking Count; Berengar counterattacked with a lunge that Lambert swiftly avoided. Finally, the swordsmanship lessons in which Bernegar painstakingly engaged every day for the past year began to show its effects.

As the battle raged around these two commanders, Lambert and Berengar danced with their swords. However, after a while, it soon became clear that although Berengar's sword had advantages over traditional longswords, he was barely skilled enough to keep up with Lambert. Finally, a vertical slash passed through Berengar's defenses, and just under his Burgonet protection passed through his right eye, cutting off the soft tissue and spilling his blood onto the ground. Berengar staggered in pain as the sting of the incision shocked his brain.

Despite losing his sight in his dominant eyes, Berengar desperately tried to raise his sword to defend. Instead, the sword was quickly stripped from his hand, and he was kicked by Lambert's armored foot to the ground, lying on top of the corpse of his once-proud destroyer.

"Sixteen years! Sixteen years I must see you fool yourself and our family. The damage you do to von Kufstein's name throughout your life through childish anger and lazy behavior is enough to bring our family back. "

Hearing the last few words of Lambert's monologue made Berengar laugh out loud; despite the loss of vision in his right eye and bleeding heavily from his wound, Berengar could not help but hold back. Seeing his older brother seemingly losing his sanity at the moment before his death, Lambert instinctively lowered his defenses and questioned Berengar over his strange behavior.

"What's so funny?"

Berengar stopped laughing and glared at Lambert like a demon who mocked humans for being stupid enough to believe that they had cornered him. As his lips curved into a cynical grin, Berengar spoke in a cold tone to Lambert.

"Oh, my dear brother... You don't know how true you are!"

With that, Berengar quickly retrieved the remaining gun from Erwin's saddle and cocked the hammer while pointing it at Lambert's chest, which was less than three feet away. Berengar was only a second faster than Lambert as the boy reacted to Berengar's actions by raising his sword into the air with a deadly blow. The thunder flintlock gun burst into the air as the gun ball inside left the barrel chamber and flew right into Lambert's chest protector before passing through it and into the young man's heart. Lambert's slash hit Berengar, but due to the damage inflicted by the musket ball on the young Teutonic Knights, the, the trajectory of the sword was changed and released into the armor that was above Erwin's corpse before the lamber itself fell to the ground spitting out blood from his wounded heart.

Berengar used this opportunity to stand up before grabbing his sword; due to the damage inflicted on his right eye and the difference in depth perception, he needed to several times try to master it. After which, Berengar walked towards his brother and looked at him as he slowly bled to death. In the process, he took off the boy's helmet before saying something Lambert never expected.

"I really have to thank you, Lambert; if you don't poison this body to the brink of death, I probably won't be able to enter this world. For that, you have a sincere gratitude. However, the moment I enter this world, there is only one of these two ways will end. With my death or your death, and unfortunately for you, this entity that you brought to Earth is beyond your understanding. A little advice from the person who has broken through the veil. Try to do better in your next life!"

Upon hearing these words, life finally faded from Lambert's eyes as he entered the void. Whether he would reincarnate or not, Berengar did not know; after all, even after experiencing death, Berengar did not see heaven or hell; he only woke up in another body. It was completely unknown to him whether it was everyone's destiny or just one time. Lambert had departed from this world in a state of total fear and confusion. He actually died believing that Berengar was possessed by demons, which he personally brought to the world. Berengar on the other hand was only telling the truth, albeit in a deliberately vague way to mess with Lambert's mind one last time.
