Steel Empire

Steel Empire
We'll See About That Later

After Lothair left Kufstein, Berengar explained to his family the deal he had reached with the old Prince. They were very happy with the result, especially Sieghard, who was convinced that Berengar was fit to be his Regent after such an appearance. A storm was brewing in the capital of the German Empire, and Sieghard feared it would not be long before the war devastated the country. Before long, he would be called to battle once more, and when that happened, he would need a capable leader to replace him. Initially, he planned to place one of his council members as regent. However, these past few months, Berengar had turned into a formidable young master, whom he knew would one day make the Baron superior to himself. It was a pity that he could only let his son inherit this humble Barony.

Thus, Baron Sieghard von Kufstein had completed a plan to declare his son as Regent of Kufstein; if for whatever reason he was forced to renounce the power of his ancestors, he would be forced to renounce his ancestral power, it was his son and heir who would be in control as long as he left. Tomorrow, he will fully declare to his family and board members that Berengar will become Regent. For now, the Baron must punish his second son for making a grave mistake which, if not for Berengar's intervention, would have harmed the family. Lately, Lambert has failed to meet Sieghard's high expectations; if you asked him half a year ago who was his favorite son, it was Lambert. Now Berengar is the shining star of the family, however, and Lambert is utterly disappointing; the roles of his two sons have been reversed completely.

While Sieghard had a long and difficult conversation with Lambert, Berengar was currently overseeing his militia's exercises, in addition to his second commander, Eckhard. Currently, his army was equipped with completely new clothes. Berengar had used his textile mills and imported materials to make his militia uniforms. She has gained enough attention for fashion since she was transferred to this world and surrounded by luxury. As such, his pet militia outfit was Landsknecht outfit, which was an elite mercenary from the 16th-century battlefield of Berengar's previous life. Their clothes are quite flamboyant, but look fantastic from Berengar's point of view. Landschnekt uniforms are all colored in their home colors, which are black, white, and gold. The NCOs and Officers were currently wearing black steel ammunition-grade half-plate armor, with matching burgonets and gorgets. Each piece had an intricate brass pattern etched into the armor.

Berengar was also well-equipped in that outfit, although his clothes were even more tacky than the other soldiers. She wore a waffenrock that was essentially a skirt covering her pantaloons, and instead of a burgonet, she was fitted with a blackened steel skull cap, with a feathered Landsknecht hat dyed in uniform color and her home. Unlike his officers, his armor trim was made in gold, showing off the wealth and prestige he had just gained, as well as his authority as a commander. He also wore a chain maille coat over his canyon, which was made of blackened steel rings, except for the bottom two rows made of brass. All men are equipped with an outdated-looking 1417 Ground Pattern Musket, and they have socket bayonets attached.

For some time now, Berengar had been trying to get his father to approve the manufacture of armor for his troops; initially, his father insisted that all production of armor be prioritized for his troops. However, the weapons industry's workforce in Kufstein was now much larger than before, and the exact equipment Sieghard had requested for his troops had been fully deployed. So Berengar finally got the approval he needed to equip his militia with the armor they desperately needed, but it was a very new occurrence. Other than NCOs and Officers, very few men were currently equipped with proper armor. Still, it wouldn't be long before his Army became the most complete force in the world.

Truth be told, Sieghard was not too keen on adapting Berengar's military innovations, especially since Berengar deliberately underestimated how revolutionary they were, but also because he was quite a traditionalist and believed in the use of brigandine, mail, and mail, and the gambeson to his troops was a quality far superior to the half-grade ammo plates, and the strange clothing currently used by Berengar's forces. He was completely wrong, though, because the armor that Berengar's forces used was more than enough to protect them from the deadly threats on the battlefield today while still being light enough and maneuverable enough to conduct warfare properly. In fact, due to the quality of Berengar steel that is currently produced, the,

As Berengar deployed his troops and guided them through everything from marching drills, shooting drills, and anti-cavalry drills. Linde watched from afar with a passionate look in her eyes; she was smart enough or crazy enough to believe that Berengar's tactics were revolutionary. After all, he had heard directly from Berengar's mouth during the pillow talk how effective his weapons and tactics were at the Battle of the Mining City. He was too enamored by Berengar's spectacular sight that ordered his troops to realize that Adela had passed by and noticed his fiery gaze towards Berengar.

Adela immediately feels something is wrong with Linde's view and begins to wonder if Linde has feelings for Berengar. After all, the girl treated her own fiance like trash, especially after recent events, and had always given a strange look to Berengar and herself over the past few months. Initially, he thought that Linde was on Lambert's side in any conflict involving his brothers, but now he didn't know what to think. This was not the gaze of a woman studying her enemy but the gaze of a school girl who was very focused on her crush. Therefore, Adela decided to approach and question the girl who was a little older but much more developed than her while she was being charmed.

"It's amazing, isn't it? Much better than a little brother's bastard."

Linde is caught up in the scene in the field below and is not even aware of the fact that Adela has approached her; she just hears those words and responds with instinct.

"He must be!"

Only after Linde said those words did she realize that Adela was asking the question and that the little girl was testing it. A horrified expression spread across that pretty face when she realized that she had practically just admitted that she preferred Berengar over her own fiancee rather than Berengar's fiancee. On the other hand, Adela was unhappy; she got the answer she feared the most. Wrinkles spread across the cute little girl's face as she quickly became resolute with the teenager standing next to her.

However, the little girl's attempt to make Linde retreat backfired completely. The corner of Linde's lips curved into a demonic smile; she slowly approached Adela with a satisfied expression on her face and whispered in the girl's ear.

"We'll see about that."

Afterwards, Linde stepped away confidently as she left little Adela pouting in childlike rage. Although Linde respects Berengar's desire not to tell others about their relationship, she knows that Berengar will one day acknowledge their child as his own, and when that day comes, if heaven blessed him with a son, it would be his son and not Adela's.signed Empire that Berengar would someday carve from this land. Therefore, she felt quite confident in the short but heated conversation between herself and her lover's fiancee. Of course, once Berengar learned of this lover's quarrel, he would be severely punished, which also gave him a sense of pleasure and anticipation. It had been a long time since Berengar had been rude to her; perhaps she could finally provoke her anger with this incident.

Adela, on the other hand, was in a very bad mood; linde's response could only mean one thing, the reader would try to steal her husband. Adela won't let Berengar fall into Vixe*'s trap*. After all, even though he was a kind-hearted man, he was still a man and could easily fall for the wiles of women. Especially as pretty as Linde. He swore in his heart to never let that happen. Of course, if he were to realize that Berengar had long been involved in an int*m relationship with Linde, he would probably tear his own heart apart. As thunderous gunshots were fired at the straw target by Berengar and his troops, war was declared in his own backyard without him noticing. This is not a war that will happen between humans and their armies,

Only after the militia finished with its daily training did Berengar return to the village. He stood beside his troops in the town square. He had his family's cook work all day to prepare a feast for his soldiers and himself. While the soldiers were gathering in the fields, the chefs prepared a banquet for the hardworking troops. When Berengar told his chef that he wanted to prepare a surprise party for his troops who had fought side by side with him in the Mining City, they were eager to help pay their respects to the many people who had saved their master's life. Thus, the best dishes they could make were piled up in the town square, where the soldiers ate food and drank from the many beers poured for them by many young women.

After a while of drinking and partying, Berengar tapped on his cup with a spoon, attracting the attention of his soldiers, who all looked at him respectfully. While still wearing his armor and with only his helmet and hat removed, Berengar stood up from his desk and began to toast to his men.

"I have told all of you that I will celebrate our overwhelming victory over the traitors in the City of Mines; unfortunately, my damned noble obligations appear, and I can't celebrate with you guys properly. Although it has been more than a month since we stood side by side on the front lines, I would like to dedicate this evening to all of you, he said, the brave men of Kufstein who answered their commander's call in time of need and brought down the traitorous army! Cheer!"

The town square echoed in cheers as the men celebrated their victory on this beautiful night. Everything was still in uniform, as the standing army and city guards stared at the hundreds of uniformed men in the town square, they started to feel a little envious, she said, and those who were part of the Lambert faction began to feel fear. Although they originally thought this peasant militia was just ordinary commoners formed at the will of the young master, they actually managed to win the battle without casualties, which was very impressive. Therefore, Berengar spent the night drinking with his brothers; it was not until 2am when Berengar returned to his bedroom, where he found Linde waiting patiently*ng in his bed.

Berengar approached his lover and began stroking his tub*h. The last words she remembered upon hearing that night came from Linde as she whispered in her ear with a nod and with a malicious grin on her face.

"Sir, I've become a nak*l girl and need to be punished."

Even though he didn't know what he meant, he was too drunk to care. So he accepted her role and blessed the girl on a leash as he began to punish her for whatever wrong she had told him. It was not until the next day that he was fully aware of what Linde had told Adela and the hostility she had begun. By then, it was too late to prevent the girls from fighting each other for her affection, and she had to bear the consequences of having two women by her side. Fortunately none of the girls were evil enough to try to take each other's lives.
