Steel Empire

Steel Empire
The Normal Day

After eating with Linde and Henrietta, Berengar was finally able to relax, therefore he sat in front of the fireplace as night came and went, drinking wine from his skull cup, the more he drank, the more he drank, the more intoxicated he got to the end, he started talking to his cup as if he was talking to his own brother.

"Lambert, my sister, why do you hate me so much that you have to try to end my life and take my title?"

Although Berengar had roughly heard about the reason for Lambert's actions during their duel at Obsersoft and could sympathize a little with him, after all, if he were in the position of that brat and had an elder brother like Berengar from before his reincarnation, he would also be plotting against such a fool. But for Berengar, Lambert's actions were inexcusable, especially as he continued to engage in such behavior after Berengar proved himself capable of leading the House of Representatives to greater power and prosperity.

Clearly, the chalice made from Lambert's skull did not answer Berengar's question. Meanwhile, Linde had gone in and observed Berengar's drunken conversation with an inanimate object, and because of that, she quickly approached him and took the chalice from his hand as she tried to gulp down again.

"I think you've had enough, sir ..."

Staring at Linde's worried expression and the gaze the skull trophy gave him, Berengar simply chuckled before letting Linde snatch his trophy from his grasp; The young count voiced his support for his lover's actions as he struggled to get up while leaning on Linde for support.

"You may be right..."

After finding his balance, Berengar slowly followed Linde to their room, where he helped her undress and into bed, before long she followed him. Berengar was too drunk to keep his promise the previous day, and therefore, the young beauty pouted. Nevertheless, she finds comfort in the act of cuddling in the arms of her lover as the two fall asleep. Soon the light of dawn shone through the window, and Berengar awoke from his drunkenness, miraculously he did not experience the drunkenness he was grateful to Dionysus for such a result. He usually found himself thanking the old pagan gods whenever something good happened to him related to their mastery. It was a light joke, and definitely something he kept to himself. As an atheist, he doesn't really believe in his jokes.

However, as she stared at the dissatisfied expression on Linde's sleeping face, she realized that she had failed to keep her promise. As an evil smile appeared on his face as an evil plot formed in his mind. However, before he could begin to do such a thing, Berengar heard the cries of baby Hans in another room, and, and Linde's maternal instinct took over with her sky blue eyes instantly opened and her head lifted off her pillow.

Seeing his naked body glittering in the light of dawn, Berengar was eager to pounce on the mother of his son right then and there. However, unfortunately for him, he was too focused on their son and his cries; she immediately got out of bed and put on her nightgown before leaving Berengar to frown like a child who had just been rejected her favorite toy. Seeing that he no longer had the chance to flirt with Linde this morning, Berengar also got out of bed and put on his loose athletic attire before starting his daily routine.

After morning runs, push-ups, situps, squats, and pull-ups, Berengar began lifting weights before practicing swordsmanship. Now that his right eye was no longer usable, his combat power was greatly reduced, especially since he had been forced to train himself in using his bare hands. After all, without using his dominant eye, to oversee the use of his dominant hand, fighting with his right hand was simply looking for trouble. Therefore, he was once again completely beaten up in his sparring session with one of the Knights under his command.

After exiting the bathroom and meeting other basic hygiene requirements, Berengar had breakfast with his family. Finally the meal went on smoothly, and nothing important was discussed; therefore, the, Berengar soon found himself thrust into his work where he primarily oversaw the approval of budget issues imposed by the House of Lords. Now that he had capable and faithful men who led the charge in his reformations, he, Berengar had little micro-management and thus had a much greater level of leisure time than in the past when he had to lead the effort in every little thing.

Finally, a strange file finds its way to his desk, which is the approval of the appointment of a member of the House of Lords, a man who has spent a lot of time with Berengar in the past, who has been, but lately it has gone to its own device. . Gunther, the prominent farmer who had helped him implement his agricultural reforms at an early stage, was elected to the House of Commons by a standard population that was able to vote, which is still very little at this point. She has strongly embraced education and spends most of her free time educating herself on various topics. Seeing that he passed a set exam to determine one's ability to vote and another test that determined one's ability to hold political office, Berengar did not mind agreeing to his appointment.

During one of the previous amendments to the Tyrol Constitution, Berengar had amended his constitutional powers to allow the ability to accept candidates to the House of Lords and the House of Commons to reside with the Head of State. Although the common people and rulers may elect their representatives, assuming that they have passed the minimum standards of education to do so, and other constitutional requirements, they may, it was still no guarantee that the elect would fulfill that position, ultimately the power to choose who represented the people remained in Berengar's hands.

For example, he would never approve of someone to occupy a position of power that was contrary to his and his family's interests. Nor will he support someone with a track record of incompetence or corruption. Sometimes people do not know what is best for Society, and it is at that time that a King must intervene to prevent the folly of those people from harming the Nation.

However, Berengar had no complaints with Gunther. The man was smart enough for someone born in a slave position. He has also proved his competence in the early stages of Berengar agricultural reform. Now that he was sufficiently educated, he was the perfect representative for the commoners; therefore, Berengar quickly signed his approval for the document before turning to the next candidate.

After going through a list of potential candidates to fill vacant seats in both branches of parliament, Berengar has rejected more than 75% of them. Mainly because of the lack of ability they showed in their respective fields. Thus, the Parliamentary system remains largely unfilled. However, it began to take shape, and thus, Berengar's workload was completely reduced every day. Still, Berengar had plenty of documents to read and sign, and as such, he spent the rest of his day doing such things.

By the time he was done with his work today, it was already past dinnertime. He once again missed the chance to have dinner with his family. Nevertheless, Berengar quickly got up from his seat, where he had been sitting all day, and headed to the kitchen to eat. Where she had dinner alone before returning to her room. Surprisingly enough, Linde was waiting for her, completely naked and lying on her bed with a lustful smile on her face while showing off her alluring figure. Berengar quickly closed the door behind him as he entered the room, and Linde gestured for him to join her as she said those words.

"It's time to keep your promise!"

An excited smile appeared on Berengar's face as he took off his luxurious clothes and pounced on his lover; he had been waiting for this all day. The couple spent the rest of their waking hours making love, where Berengar was very careful not to get her pregnant. After all, they already had one child, and Linde was young, with fertile days to come. It is best not to rush into such things. With this, Berengar ended up going through the mundane days of his routine as the Count of Tyrol.
