When Love Should Determine

When Love Should Determine
Chapter 117

Larissa's economy is getting worse and worse. Forced Larissa to ask Hamzah for help to collect the remaining debt on mbak Ika. Because if he himself charges, Ika never want to pay again.

Larissa waited for Hamzah's return from Ina's house expectantly, but once she saw her husband return empty-handed she could only resign.

"What did Ina say?" tanyakanya.

"I said for a few days that her husband could not go to sea because he was sick. While he himself was put home because his place of work was also deserted order."

Larissa breathed a heavy sigh. "You know how else. It's also free to insist that it's the case."

That day Larissa had to cook with a makeshift menu. And not only that, he also had to tighten his belt even stronger.

...****************...

That afternoon Larissa was buying some kitchen spices in a store not far from her home. Suddenly one of the other buyers who was his neighbor said, "Your cousin has a lot of money. Tumben-tumbenan I was given money."

Tied like that, of course, Larissa is confused, because the cousins she has are many, and she does not know which cousin was meant earlier. "Which cow, mbak?" tanyakanya.

"Who else if not Ina."

Hearing if Ina is what is meant, of course Larissa does not believe. "That's impossible, ma'am!" little laugh. "Two days ago I asked my husband to collect a debt on him but instead came back empty-handed. She said she was penniless because her husband had been sick for a few days and couldn't work."

"lik! don't believe what he says" he said. "Lha wong some days her husband's fish catch is very good, even she keeps shopping. If you don't believe it, here's the proof" showing the money sheet in his hand.

Larissa was surprised, half in disbelief by the words of her neighbor. It could be that the money is actually his own, but it is called from mbak Ina with the intention of wanting to vilify his name.

But why would his neighbor want to vilify Ina's mother's name in front of him? Don't the two of them still have a kinship? What if what he said was true? Does that mean that Ina has lied about her range of conditions?.

Seeing the doubt on Larissa's face the neighbor added. "If you still don't believe it, just ask the next door neighbor. I'm sure he must have said the same thing as me, because he saw himself carrying a lot of groceries."

Astagfirullahal......

Larissa's heart melos hearing that reality. If the neighbor dared to bet like that, then it could be ascertained if what he said was true.

Then why would Ina lie to him? Isn't paying a debt an obligation when you can afford it? Why would he lend to others while himself in debt? does he not want to pay his debt? Lali why should I say if my husband is sick and can't work? Is not the word of a wife a prayer for her husband?.

Millions of questions sprang up in Larissa's mind. His heart was broken because he had been lied to. He was very angry, hated all kinds of lies. If at that time Mbak Ina said honestly, of course he would not be this angry.

Larissa rushed home with anger to the crown. When she got home, she took her anger out on her husband.

"It's all because of your cousin!" blowholes. Larissa.

"Which one is my cousin?" he asked again, not understanding who was meant and what made his wife suddenly angry like this.

"Who else if not mbak Ina" he replied with both eyebrows interlocked and lips conical forward.

Hamzah sighed. "What happened to Ina?."

"He lied to us. It turns out....." Larissa also recounted all the conversations that occurred between her and the neighbor she met at the store earlier.

Hamzah let out a heavy sigh, understanding now what made his wife suddenly angry like this. "I know you're angry, I know you're disappointed, I know you don't like being lied to, but why would you even vent all your anger and resentment towards Ina to me? What's my fault in this?."

"Wouldn't I have warned you not to trust others too much, but you wouldn't listen. Then why are you angry with me now?."

Larissa was stunned, only to realize her mistake which had vented anger at the inappropriately person. Her husband's words were like a slap to her. "I'm sorry, Entik! I was too carried away by the emotions earlier" he said regretfully with his head bowed.

Hamzah sighed. "It's okay, it's important we know the truth."

"Make this a lesson for the future so as not to believe in others for granted, but also do not disbelieve in them. Remember that! Everything that's excessive is falling won't be good."

Larissa nodded, yet her heart was still overwhelmed by anger. "You're right, Entik! Therefore I swear in the name of Allah, from this day on I will never lend to anyone even if he pleads with a thousand reasons before me."

Hamzah was shocked to hear Larissa's speech. He never meant to make his wife trust no one. "Don't say that. Not because of this, you don't want to help anyone anymore."

"No,Entik! The arrow that has been slashed cannot be pulled back, and I will not draw my words anymore. My trust has been destroyed in a very painful way, and I will never trust anyone again."

Hamzah tried to explain to his wife if not everyone is the same, some people still hold high the value of honesty. But the disappointment that enveloped Larissa heart made her not want to understand and seemed to close her eyes on it.

A wise man once said, It takes years to earn a trust, but it only takes a second to destroy it.

When someone is lied to by others, then in his brain will save a trauma that makes him distrust others again. Therefore, it is very important to maintain the trust that has been given.

Hamzah breathed a heavy sigh. If Larissa had been stubborn like this, then she could do nothing but let her come to her senses on her own. "May one day you realize that not everyone is the same."

Hamzah passed and chose to continue his work which had been delayed because of this chat. While Larissa herself immediately cooked because soon lunch time arrived.
