When Love Should Determine

When Love Should Determine
Chapter 38

Larissa was still shocked by all the reality she was receiving at this time. Until he could not ask why dad was so willing to leave mom while pregnant.

Let it be, maybe next time ask. The most important thing now is that he already knows the address of the father's family.

The day is getting noon. Larissa pampit retreat. She was afraid that she was angry and suspicious because she did not meet him at the market. "Bi, I want to go home first. I'll play here again sometime!."

"Well, I'm in a hurry to get home. You've only been here a minute."

"Yes, Bi, sorry. I'm hustling. I didn't say anything to Mom here. Afraid she'll find out if I don't come home."

"Yes, not pa pa pa. But next time play here again, yeah!."

"Yes, Bi. God willing!."

"What's up here?."

"Street, Bi. Same with Ida."

"If that's your Aunt on a bike, yes. Don't be tired of walking."

Larissa nodded. Auntie immediately pulled out her motorcycle. Larissa and Mbak Ida delivered by using a different motorbike.

"Bi, please take me to the market. I told you to follow him there."

Bi Siti complies with Larissa's request. He dropped it on the market. "Be careful, son. Aunty back first" he said after arriving at the market.

"Yes, Bi, thank you. Aunt be careful too!" answer Larissa.

Bi Siti nodded. He immediately drove his motorcycle back. Larissa immediately searched for her mother's whereabouts.

Long circled around the market but Larissa did not manage to find the whereabouts of her mother. "Have you gone home, huh?" his mind in the heart.

Tired of searching, Larissa decided to return home.

When I got home, my mom was not there either. She was worried, afraid she would get angry.

Sure enough, not long ago mother came. He was angry because he was looking for her. "Where have you been? sought after not meeting you before. I told you to follow this to the market soon. What the hell are you doing at home?" angry shouting.

"So I followed my mother to the market. I searched but did not meet. Yes, I'm home again. I thought you were home" Larissa replied. He deliberately did not say if he went to Aunt's house first.

"If you spit there, must have met with mother" he replied annoyed.

Larissa hush. Choose not to answer again. I was worried that mom was getting angry.

Mother sighed. "Yes, let's go to the market again" he said. "So mom told you to go there because she wanted to buy you something. But you didn't come either."

Larissa smiled in relief as the mother was not suspicious of her delay and stopped getting angry. "Come, Mom!" sengas excited.

Larissa carried her son back. They headed to the market along on foot.

Arriving at the market, the mother invited Larissa to enter one of the jewelry stores. Apparently he wanted to buy Larissa a bracelet, replacing the bracelet that his mother had sold to help Iqbal when building the house first.

After choosing a suitable model, the mother completes her payment. And they went back home.

Arriving at home, Larissa does her job as usual, which is to help the mother serve the buyer. He does not want you to suspect him that he has known some secrets that you have been keeping.

At night after putting her son to sleep, Larissa was pensive in the room. Thinking about all of Aunt's words this morning.

Why, why, why, and why. The millions of questions continued to run through his mind. There were a lot of things he wanted to ask his mother, but he didn't. He was worried that mom was angry if he offended let alone asked about Dad.

"Ah, let. For a while let the secret be kept. I'll wait until the secret reveals itself" her inner self inwardly.

Larissa chose to forget the unrest that struck her heart. He pulled a blanket over his entire body and drowned in the sea of dreams.

...****************...

A few days later Larissa came to Aunt's house again. This time he went there alone, of course while carrying Fatim in his carrier. He left on foot. Her husband was not home at the time either. He was busy sewing fishing nets on the beach.

There was not much Larissa got from her visit this time. Auntie didn't tell me anything about Dad anymore. But this time he was able to meet his other brother.

His name is Ira, he is the first son of his second wife. He took Larissa to his house located east of Bibi's house. Only three houses away.

"Sit down!. Make a drink for you first." Larissa nodded, she sat on the chair in the living room. Ira's mom is heading to the kitchen to make Larissa a drink.

After Ira's death, Larissa circulated her gaze, sweeping the entire room. His gaze was fixed on a photo mounted on the wall. He got up, to the photo.

Larissa looked at the photo carefully. The person in the photo is exactly the same as the person in the mother's marriage book that Larissa found the other day. He took a picture with a woman he did not know.

"That's a picture of my father along with my mother." A voice shocked Larissa. So serious to see the photo that he did not realize that Mbak Ira was already beside him.

"Eh, sorry, Ma'am. I didn't know you were already here. I was so serious about seeing the photo" Larissa said clumsily.

Ira's mom smiled. "It's okay. Think of it as your own home" he said while putting the drink he made earlier. "Drink first!."

Larissa nodded. He immediately grabbed a cup containing the drink that Ira's mother had made earlier. He drank a few sips and put them back down.

"Come on! mbak will show you other photos" said Ira as she pulled Larissa's arm.

Larissa got up, followed Ira's steps. His steps stopped in front of a photo. "This is a photo of my two sisters. His names are Arifin and Terina" he said, pointing to a photo on the wall.

"Arifin is married to a woman from central Java. He had a son named Abidzar. He currently lives with his wife there."

"This is Terina, my sister who is the same age as you. He's not married."

"When you were about to be born, I gave you the same name. My sister is Terina Ayu Wulana Dewi, while you are Larissa Ayu Wulana Dewi."

Larissa was shocked by Ira's words. "So this is what I meant by Mother Ida's question the other day? If you really gave me a name like that, then why did you just put Larissa's name on me?" his mind in the heart.
