Hamzah awaits his wife's operation in front of the operating room with a troubled heart. He didn't move a bit from there. Until the door finally opened. He immediately approached the doctor who was handling the operation and asked, "How is my wife doing, doc? Is the operation going well."
The doctor stared at Hamzah intensely. A smile she gave before answering her question. "Congratulations! The operation went well. We managed to remove the lump in your wife's breast," he said. Then he showed a cup containing a lump that he managed to remove from the patient's body earlier. "This is the lump that we managed to remove earlier. Please have a look. Maybe you want to photograph it to show your wife later. Because after this we'll bring this lump to be examined further in the lab."
Hamzah took out a flat, block-shaped object with the logo of an apple bite from his pants pocket. Then he took a picture of the bump several times with a cell phone camera. When he finished, he put the flat object back in his pocket. "Here you go, doc, thank you!," he said.
The doctor handed the cup he held earlier to the nurse. "This, sus. Please take it to the lab to check."
Seeing that his wife had not been removed from the operating room Hamzah asked, "Now how is my wife? Why hasn't he been taken out?."
"You just calm down. Your wife is fine. It's just that it's not rumored at this time because of the influence of drugs. We're cleaning his body right now. You can meet him again after we move him to the inpatient room" the doctor explained at length.
Hearing Hamzah's explanation breathed a sigh of relief. "Alhamdulillah, thank goodness? Thank you very much, doc!."
"Together! Then excuse us." The doctor left Hamzah. Not long after a brangkar with Larissa's body on it was pushed out by two nurses. Hamzah followed behind.
Slowly Larissa's body was transferred to the bed in the inpatient room. A nurse fixed the location of the infusion tube, another checked his blood pressure. After their duty, they also left.
After the departure of the two nurses, Hamzah enveloped Larissa's body. But then he saw there was a trace of blood still attached to his wife's body. He took a piece of wet tissue on the nightstand. He deftly cleaned the scar of blood with great care for worry about the stitch wound dry.
"Pork...." A groan from Larissa's lips. Sontak Hamzah stopped his activities. "What's up, baby? Is anyone sick?" he asked worriedly.
"my head's so dizzy, you know. My body feels all the pain" Larissa said. The hand holds the head that feels spinning. The other side felt the chest that had just been operated on.
"Be careful. Later the seams are torn," said Hamzah. Hold the hand of the wife who is above the chest and put it back beside the body.
"My head feels spinning, Entik. So dizzy." Back Larissa complained about the dizziness she experienced.
With tenderness Hamzah rubbed the head of the wife. "It's okay. It is because of the influence of drugs. Later if the effect is gone your dizziness will also be lost."
"Do you want to eat something? Or maybe drink?" tawar Hamzah's.
"No, Entik, my stomach is still nauseous. I asked for warm tea so that my belly button would be slightly reduced" Larissa replied.
Hamzah picked up a glass of warm tea available on the nightstand. It just so happened that he just bought it before entering the ward. Intentionally knowing that his wife likes to drink warm tea after waking up. Then he helped Larissa drink the tea water by raising her head slightly. "Be careful!" he said.
Larissa took a sip of the tea that her husband offered her. And after enough he returned the tea to her. "Enough, Entik!," he said.
Hamzah took a glass of tea from his wife's hand and put it back on the nightstand. Then he put down Larissa's head and covered her body. "Now you rest again. I'll take care of you here. If you need anything, just say it" he said.
Larissa nodded her head and closed her eyes again. He changed positions repeatedly because he felt uncomfortable.
Hamzah did not move a bit from Larissa's side. He sat on a plastic chair there holding his wife's hand. He attentively took care of her. He really wanted to make up for his mistake.
At midnight the doctor came to do an examination. Hamzah got up from his seat and slightly moved away from the patient's bed to make it easier for doctors to carry out their duties.
"Did the patient realize?" asked the doctor while examining Larissa's body.
"Did the patient eat?."
"Yet. He said he was still dizzy and nauseous. He just asked for warm tea."
"It's okay. But try to wake up when you eat soon. Don't leave her stomach empty. He hasn't eaten anything since."
"Good, doc! I understand."
To coincide with that the doctor has after examining Larissa's body. "The condition of the patient is good, all the results are normal," he said giving the results of the examination. He then handed Hamzah an envelope. "I've registered the lump I showed you earlier to check in the lab. Here's a letter for the results later. You can get the results another week along with the control time."
"Well, doc, I get it" Hamzah replied, taking the letter from the doctor's hand and keeping it in his jacket pocket.
"From my explanation, is there anything you want to ask?."
A question that doctors usually say after giving a description of the state of the patient the doctor said. But because he understood all the explanations earlier Hamzah also shook his head. "No, doc, I understand!" he said.
"Well then" said the doctor. "Oh yes, one more thing. Tomorrow morning after breakfast the patient can go straight home. Don't wait for me, because the patient's condition is good."
"Good, doc!."
"I'll excuse you then."
"Yes, doc, thank you so much!."
"Name-sama!."
The doctor left the patient room.
...****************...
The dawn of Larissa awoke. Hamzah immediately took the rice pack that he just bought earlier. "You eat first, yeah. You haven't eaten anything last night" he said, opening the rice packet.
Larissa nodded in agreement because her stomach was indeed rumbling. But when she was about to take the rice from her husband's hand she was prevented. "No need! Let me feed you."
Larissa did not refuse and let her husband do what he wanted. She immediately opened her mouth as her husband's hand thrust out a spoonful of food.
Larissa was touched by the little attention her husband gave her. His heart warmed until he could not feel his eyes shed tears.
Seeing his wife shed tears Hamzah also stopped his activities to feed the wife. The removal of tears that wet his smooth cheeks. "Why crying? Is anyone sick?" tanyakanya.
Larissa shook her head while holding the hand of her husband that touched her cheek. "Nothing" he said. "Thank you very much! keep it like this."
Hamzah smiled faintly at the wife's words. "Now continue to eat again, yes!."
Larissa nodded and took a bribe back from her husband.
