When Love Should Determine

When Love Should Determine
Chapter 57

Larissa serves her husband's desire to have sex even though there is no passion in him. He did only to abort the duty of serving the husband.

After channeling his wishes, Hamzah intends to go back to sleep. But Larissa stopped him. "Wait on! don't sleep yet. I have something to talk to you about!."

Hamzah grabbed the blanket covering his body and sat back down. "Say! what do you want to talk to me about?."

Larissa sighed, gathering all the courage she had. "Are you serious about your decision yesterday? Do we have to part ways like this?."

No response from Hamza. He just kept silent. Or maybe he does not have the answer to the question asked by his wife.

Larissa did not give up. He repeated his question. "Say! what exactly do you want? Do we have to keep going like this when you're angry?."

Hamzah sighed. "Actually yesterday I wanted to take you for a walk. I'm bored all day at home. But you're busy with your sales."

Larissa shook her head, inexhaustible with her thought path. Just because of a trivial matter, he should get such treatment.

"If you want to take me for a walk, why don't you say it?" larissa. "Now I ask you. Did I ever refuse if you take the road?."

There was no answer from Hamzah, because all this time Larissa had never refused his invitation.

Silent, for a moment no one spoke. Hamza finally broke the silence. "Actually after you've cleared up, I want to say it. But you're going to the market."

"Don't I ask you before I leave, what's wrong? is there anything you want? but you're quiet, aren't you?. Then what's my fault in this? where's my fault?."

There was no reply from Hamzah. What his wife said was true.

Seeing the silence of her husband, Larissa continued her words. "If you're going to take me out, you want to help me out a little bit to get things done quickly. But what's going on? you let me do all the work myself. Not even bathed Fatim you did."

"So that's why you're mad at me?" hamzah sharp said. His gaze pierced towards Larissa.

"No! that's not why I'm angry. But there's something else."

"Easy! arguing with you will have no end. You like to exaggerate problems."

"It's not me who's exaggerating the problem, it's you!"

"Enough! I sleep, want to sleep" said Hamzah as he prepared to go back to sleep.

"Wait first! I'm not done talking!" larissa said, stop her husband.

"Other thing you want to talk about?" hamzah. He was upset that Larissa kept disturbing his sleep.

"Why are you lying to me?" ask Larissa without further ado. Eyes were on her husband.

Hamzah frowned, not understanding his wife's intentions. "What do you mean say that? why are you accusing me of lying?."

"I heard you got a share of two hundred thousand when you got a catch of Dorang a ton yesterday. Then why did you say you only got a hundred grand?."

"O..the problem!" answer Hamzah lightly.

"No meaning whatsoever" replied Hamzah again. He still doesn't want to tell the truth.

Larissa did not give up. He kept asking. "Now I ask, where is the money? and for what?."

"Male susan! you don't need to know!" answer Hamzah briefly. He threw his face aside.

Larissa took a rough breath. I couldn't accept her husband's answer. "You said to me, the basis of a relationship is honesty and trust. Then why are you denying your own words?."

Hamzah was silent, unable to answer Larissa's question.

Silence, no one opened their voices. They were both immersed in their own thoughts. Until finally Hamzah re-opens his voice. "You are brave to me now. You no longer respect me as your husband."

"Look! what kind of husband should be respected? what husband likes to hurt his wife? A husband who likes to play violence against his wife? or a husband who likes to lie to his wife?" answer Larissa. He does not accept being accused like that.

Hamzah remained silent, unable to answer Larissa's question. He knew everything Larissa said was true. He was the cause of the change in his wife.

"Why are you just silent? come say! what kind of husband do you mean?" ask Larissa.

Hamzah remained silent, unable to answer his wife's questions. Or indeed he did not have the answer to every question his wife.

Silence, silence is re-created. But not long after Hamzah re-opened his voice. "A good wife will serve all the needs of her husband. But what are you doing? you're gonna let me starve."

Larissa smiled cynically in response to her husband's words. "Then, did you give me a living? you think you can cook if you don't give me money?."

Hamzah remained silent and did not listen to his wife's answer. Because some days he did not give it a living born.

"Why are you just silent? let's answer, don't just shut up!" Larissa's voice was slightly raised. She couldn't accept her husband accusing her like that. "Now you think! if I didn't sell, wouldn't Fatim and I starve too?"

Hamzah remained silent, not daring to answer his wife's words.

"If you feel hungry, why not buy your own food? didn't you save the money? What is your money for? you're gonna make that money?."

Hamzah remained silent, unable to refute his wife's remarks.

Larissa continued her words without caring for her husband's silence. "I'm probably guilty of refusing you last night for intercourse. But it's not entirely my fault. You made me do it. You forced me to do that, so don't tell me I don't want to serve you "

That night, Larissa really let out all her courage. He was no longer silent and accepted all Hamzah's treatment of him. If Hamzah says one sentence, Larissa will answer with a thousand sentences.

In the midst of a serious conversation, Fatim suddenly woke up and cried. Forcing Larissa to postpone their conversation.

Hamzah also returned to the body. But he didn't really sleep. Presumably all of Larissa's words disturbed her little heart.

Life has taught us many things, not least for Larissa as well. From this event he learned, that he had to dare to speak when innocent.

He used to think that a husband should always be respected and obeyed all his words. She must give up and accept all the treatment of her husband.

But not anymore. A husband is just an ordinary man who never escapes mistakes. And she was obliged to realize her husband's mistake so as not to repeat his mistake. And does not the husband and wife have the same rights and obligations as well.
