When Love Should Determine
Chapter 95

Hamzah advises Larissa to call her budhe when she sees her mother-in-law's life expectancy getting thinner. He doesn't want Larissa to be blamed if anything happens to him.

Larissa hesitated to leave her mother because she was very worried about her situation. "But what about my mother, Entik?."

"You just calm down! I'll take care of him while you're gone."

After thinking for a moment, Larissa finally agreed. "Well, I'm going to go to Budhe's house to call him here. I'm putting my mom to you."

Hamzah nodded. Larissa is gone soon. The motorbike is fastened so that it will get there soon. The distance from his house to Budhe's house is not too far away, so it does not take long he has arrived there.

Tok tok tok tok

"Asshrink, budhe. Budhe's home?."

Long wait but not even heard the voice from inside. "No sound from the inside, huh? Is budhe not at home?" said Larissa hesitated.

"Ah, not possible. Maybe Budhe just didn't hear my voice. Try me I'll call you back now.

Larissa brushed aside the doubt and went back to knocking on the door. But until the third beat there is no sound from inside.

Larissa was bowed lethargic and decided to just go back. But as he turned, he heard...."Greetings waalaikum, who is it?."

Larissa breathed a sigh of relief, it was Budhe's voice. Quickly he answered the call. "Budhe, it's me, Larissa!."

"Oh, you, wait a minute!."

Not long after, the sound of the door opening. Along with that came the budhe. "Sorry, Budhe was still praying. So you can't answer your call, '" he said.

"Oh that. I thought Budhe wasn't home. You know, I call repeatedly but there's no truth."

Budhe smiled in response to his nephew's remark. "Tumben you're here at night, what's the need?" he asked. The face of Larissa. "Your face is swollen? You're crying?."

Larissa ignored Budhe's question and instead said, "Come with me now to the house, budhe! Poor mom."

Hearing Larissa mention her mother's name, Budhe's heart was suddenly filled with misgivings. He was worried that something bad might happen to him. Moreover, all this time he knew that the condition of his biological sister was very severe. "What's wrong with your mom, Larissa? She why?."

"Later Budhe see for yourself at home. Now it's better for Budhe to get ready and come with me."

"Okay, wait a minute. Budhe take the veil inside for a second!." Larissa nodded, budhe went back in and out in a state of already using a veil on the head. "Budhe is ready. Let's go now!."

Larissa nodded and immediately stopped the bike. "Come, budhe, please ride!."

Larissa drove her bike just after the budhe boarded. And it didn't take them long to get to Larissa's house.

Budhe got off the bike. He stumbled into the house. Larissa looked impatient to see the budhe move slowly. "Let's go in, budhe.pity mom!."

"Wait a minute, Larissa, budhe's leg is hurting!."

Larissa also helps memapah budhe to get to the mother's room immediately. "This is how my mother, budhe, has been breathing hard ever since."

Budhe pushed forward and sat down next to his only remaining brother. "It's me, your mbakyu!."

Budhe let out a heavy sigh. "It looks like your mother suffered a death scare, Larissa," he said softly."

Hearing budhe's words, Larissa's heart grew bitter. "Hamzah said so, too, budhe. What should I do to reduce the pain? Really, I can't bear to see him continue to groan in pain like that!," he said softly, the roar of tears growing unstoppable.

Budhe shook weakly. "There's nothing more we can do to help him. It all depends on his kindness all along. We can only pray that the path be made easy by God."

Larissa bowed sadly. Everything Budhe said was exactly as Hamzah had said. "O Allah, forgive my mother's sins and mistakes. Make the way easy to face You" he said bitterly.

Budhe brought his lips closer to Ani's ear and chanted prayers that were out of question. Then after a while he cried out, "O Allah, if you take my brother's life now, then accelerate his death. I sincerely let go of him. But don't let him be tormented like this."

Budhe paused his words to resist the onslaught of feelings. "And if you still allow him to live, give him health."

Larissa could not say anything and only cried at the feet of her mother.

Budhe turned his gaze towards Larissa. "Did your mother say something?" he asked. Tears that wet the cheeks.

Larissa shook her head weakly. "Nothing, budhe. From then on, Mom just groaned in pain. It's just.." looks hesitant to tell the truth.

"Just what?" he asked again. She urged Larissa to be honest. "Let's just say, Larissa, just what?."

"Mother kept calling out my sister's name." Forced Larissa to say part of the incident and hide the part where the mother does not recognize her anymore. He did not want Buddha to think badly of him if he heard that.

"Then why don't you call your brother?" joked Budhe.

"Sister's not home, budhe. From this afternoon the door of his house was closed."

"Then why don't you try to find him? Why are you even standing there?."

"So Hamzah's been trying to find all the places you used to go. But he still didn't find it."

Budhe let out a heavy sigh. "Iqbal irni how is it? Already knew his mother was sick, even gini. Though I have repeatedly warned him to be more careful to his mother," grumbled annoyed.

"Did your sister know that your mother was like this?" budhe asked Larissa again.

Larissa put her shoulders down. "Come on, budhe, I don't know," sighed listlessly. "Three days ago I asked my sister to see my mother for a while, because she kept talking that she was going on Hajj with someone. I felt a bad feeling at that moment. But he refused on the pretext of being busy, and until now he has not shown the trunk of his nose."

Budhe let out a heavy sigh. "Iqbali. Iqbal, you'll regret not having seen your mother's last moments" he murmured.

Larissa doesn't care much about what Budhe says about Iqbal. Her mind was focused on one thing, her mother.

Larissa pushed forward near her mother's head and said, "Mother, follow my words! say, Allah!," he rubbed the head of the mother gently. The tears did not stop flowing from his eyes.

In the midst of the grief created, suddenly Fauzan, Larissa's cousin came. He was the son of this Buddha. "How's bi Ani doing, ma'am?" he asked.

"It looks like he is experiencing death" replied Budhe. "Fauzan, can I ask you a favor?."

"Say, mom!."

"Please look for Iqbal's whereabouts now. Your aunt kept calling him. Maybe he wants to see his son one last time."
