Hamzah followed his father's advice without saying much. He leaves the house, followed by Larissa behind him.
Larissa felt that what she was doing right now was very wrong. But he was also afraid to tell Hamzah. And by gathering all the courage he had, he asked Hamzah to pull off his bike. "Stop a minute! I want to talk to you before we get home" he said.
Hamzah also complied with Larissa's request to immediately pull off his motorbike. "Say! What do you want to talk to me about?" ask him in a cold tone after he turned off the motor.
For a moment Larissa kept silent, trying to string up a word that would not make Hamzah grow angry. "Can you take away your stubborn attitude?" tanyanya slow.
"What kind of stubbornness do you mean?" hamzah asked back.
"Be stubborn as you showed me yesterday. Can't you just lose it?" larissa repeated her question again.
Hamzah breathed a rough breath. "Gini, I explained to you to understand!. Anyone in my position would obviously be angry. You know what your brother said on the beach yesterday?."
Larissa shook her head weakly. "No!."
"Your brother told everyone that I hit your mother. And I'm wanted by everybody, like I'm a criminal. But you know for yourself how it happened back then?."
Larissa nodded her head.
"Indeed I admit, I was wrong to throw the banana away. But I've also explained why I did that, right?"
Back, Larissa nodded her head for the umpteenth time. Justifying what her husband said.
"But in reality, your mother and sister instead magnified the problem by deliberately adding to the story that I had already hit her."
Larissa was stunned to hear Hamzah's confession. "I'm sorry. I don't know if it happened like that" he said, lowering his face.
"I've been patient enough with your family all along. I know, I'm not a rich man. But that doesn't mean they can treat me as they please."
"I also know that your family doesn't like me. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have stayed there. And if I wasn't your husband, there'd be no way I'd live there."
"I've been patient enough to face all the problems for you. But my patience has its limits too. I'm not a pious person who would just shut up if anyone hurt me."
"Now try to remember! Since we first got married, most of the problems that exist in our household come from where? from your family, right?."
Larissa fell silent, unable to answer questions from her husband. Because what Hamza said is true.
"Same as you! I also want to live in peace, live in peace. I won't find trouble if no one's begging me."
"Ma.sorry me. I don't know if you're so depressed about all that" Larissa said. She realized that she had never tried to understand her husband. He always demanded Hamzah to be as he wished, as his family had hoped.
Larissa always blamed Hamzah for what had happened, she never tried to understand the problem from the point of view of her husband. Because all this time, mother indirectly made him hate and away from her husband with all the words he said. And unfortunately, Larissa always believes so with all her mother's words.
Hamzah sighed. "In this case, I should be the one who's mad at you. You know why?."
"Yesterday, without saying goodbye, you just left aunt's house. You don't even care what I say."
"When I offered you a delivery, you still didn't budge and just passed by. Though at that time I was so worried about you and Fatim because it was night."
"As soon as you passed, my parents stroked your chest because of your attitude. You don't seem to appreciate my two parents."
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean it that way. Honestly, at that time I was very disappointed because your mother continued to corner me" said Larissa Lirih.
Hamzah sighed again. "Easy! we better forget all these problems. Because in this case, we're all equally guilty."
"Come on! it's better now that we get back home" Hamzah said, and prepare to restart the bike.
"Wait a minute!" Larissa stopped Hamzah. "I have one request for you."
Hamzah stopped what he was doing and turned to face Larissa again. "Say!."
"I'm asking for help, don't mind what you're going to say later. Let me explain to him myself. Because actually, he doesn't want me to be with you anymore."
Hamzah again heaved a heavy sigh for the umpteenth time. "All right! I will obey your request. But I didn't promise I'd be able to hold back if you were hurt. I won't stay silent until that happens. You know for yourself, don't you know how I am? I can at least see you hurt. I'd better be the one who's hurt."
"I can still accept everything. But not by seeing you get hurt."
Larissa nodded. "I'll make sure it never happens. As cruel as mother, she would not bear to hurt me" Larissa replied, calming her husband's worries.
"All right then!" hamzah said while nodding his head. "Is there anything you want to say before we go home? If there is, say it now! I want all the problems to be solved right now."
"No! I don't have any more problems."
"Then we die, we go home. Poor Fatim."
They finally returned home. It turns out Larissa's assumption all along that Hamzah changed because of her disappointment that did not give a son.
In fact, Hamzah cares and loves him so much. And his son, Fatim. Maybe she should dive deeper into her husband's heart in order to understand what he wants. So that in the future there will be no more misunderstandings like this.
From this moment, Larissa promised to establish better communication with her husband. He will also talk about every problem he has with him. And not draw conclusions unilaterally.
Not long after, they arrived home. And sure enough, mother was very angry when she saw the arrival of Larissa accompanied by Hamzah behind her.
My mother did not say directly that she was very angry. But from his behavior, face, and the look in his eyes, Larissa could conclude how angry he was at her at this time.
Larissa kept quiet, ignoring what her mother was doing. He pulled Hamzah's arm and invited him to rush into the room. He did not want to provoke a commotion by lingering to see mother. Because right now, he was not ready to face all his anger.
For a while, let it be like this first. Larissa promised, will find a way to soften the heart of mother. And dispel all the anger in her.
