When Love Should Determine

When Love Should Determine
Chapter 123

The midwife had scolded Larissa because she considered ignoring the risks of pregnancy she faced. But once he saw Larissa's mental down, he re-energized his heart and strive for the best. Larissa was in an ambulance accompanied by Hamzah, her mother-in-law, and her sister Iqbal.

Before heading to the hospital, they stopped by the health center to take the HBsAb vaccine intended for the baby shortly after he was born. This is done considering the test results Larissa positive for hepatitis B which is feared to be contagious in children who contain it.

The midwife went down alone accompanied by Iqbal as a family representative, while others were asked to wait in the car as they had to comply with health protocols to keep their distance.

Minutes by minutes passed, the midwife had not yet come out of the puskesmas. In the car Larissa waited with anxious hopes. "O Allah, if the vaccine is my provision, then make it easy for us to get. But if it's not my provision, then give us the best way out to save this baby in my womb" she prayed in her heart.

People say, if we pray sincerely and full of confidence especially in one third of the night, then God will grant the prayer. And presumably God really heard his prayer, proved not long ago mother midwife out of the health center while carrying the vaccine placed in an ice thermos in hand.

A smile of relief flashed on Larissa's face. "Thank you, O God, You have granted my prayers."

The journey to the hospital continued. All offered prayers inwardly asking for ease and safety for Larissa.

Along the way, Larissa kept moaning in pain. Tears flowed along with the pain. As time went on, the contractions he felt grew stronger.

It seems that God is still pleased to hear their prayers, as evidenced by the absence of obstacles during the journey. Or maybe the situation that is blind at night to make the streets still lengthened. Whatever it is Larissa is very grateful, because in a short time they have been in the hospital.

Larissa's arrival was welcomed by two nurses at the door while carrying a cage for her, maybe the midwife had informed about her arrival to the hospital so that once she came, everything was ready.

Brakkar Larissa was driven to the emergency room accompanied by Hamzah. But once at the door, Hamzah was forbidden to enter. "I'm sorry, other than the patient is forbidden to enter this room!" he said the nurse pushed the cage. Hamzah had to stand outside waiting for the birth of his son with anxious expectations.

Indoor, the nurse placed an infusion hose on Larissa's wrist and checked the progress of the birth canal opening.

"New opening three, there is still plenty of time until the complete opening. You can use the time to take a walk to speed up the opening process" the nurse said.

Larissa nodded. "Good, mom!."

"If you can, the mother eats and drinks first so that there is energy when pushing later," he added.

"Where can I eat in the midst of pain. Never mind to eat, just see the food my appetite is gone," Larissa said in her heart. Although reluctant, but he just agreed to the advice he gave. "Yes, mom. I will try!."

The nurse left the room after doing her job. And now Larissa lives alone to endure the pain that increasingly whack without anyone accompanying.

Larissa groaned and kept moaning. She continued to change her sleeping position according to what she learned in the pregnant women's class to help speed up the opening process. But in fact, all of that had no effect on him.

"O Allah, give me strength to endure this pain. Make it easy for me to get through all this." The roar of Larissa was in the midst of the onslaught of pain that came.

Which strong woman withstands the pain of contractions during childbirth without shedding tears, especially no one who accompanies.

And so is Larissa. He wept and wept and called God's asthma. "God, give me strength, give me the ease to get through this." His stomach is being sucked up which is experiencing severe contractions.

Although blocked by the bulkhead, but at least Larissa is not alone anymore. There are other women across there who are both struggling to withstand the pain of contractions in order to give birth to their baby.

Time passed, but the opening of Larissa did not increase. "O Allah, will my labor be as difficult as my first labor?" lamented pilu. The tears are getting more and more wet the cheeks.

While Larissa struggled to withstand the onslaught of pain during contractions, the midwife took care of all patient data along with the history of the disease and also the vaccine taken from the health center earlier. And after all was done, he returned home with the ambulance that took him earlier.

The door of the room opened again, a doctor appeared behind it and walked over to Larissa. "Excuse me, I'll check the opening again, ma'am!."

Larissa nodded and let the doctor check the opening again. "Just open four, ma'am, strong one huh!" said it.

"Oh Allah, from the opening of four, why so long?" lamented pilu.

"Okay, can't if my husband accompanies me here? I'm not strong alone" he asked.

Hearing Larissa's question, the doctor was confused. "Lho, so from now on his mother's here alone?" askalanya.

Larissa nodded back. "Yes, doc! The nurse said, no one can come in but the patient."

"That's not true.! There should be one family accompanying the patient here" he argued. "Yes, let me call my mother's husband. What's his name if I can tell?."

"Hamzah, doc!" answer Larissa briefly.

The doctor left the room. The name of her husband was called, and Hamzah soon entered the room.

Seeing the presence of the husband on the side, Larissa poured into his arms and cried complaining of the pain she suffered in Hamzah's chest, one of the parts of her husband's body that always provided comfort to her.

Hamzah clutched his wife's body and stroked her hair gently, as if giving an injection of strength through the touch. "Don't cry. Rest assured that you can get through all this."

"Before you had the same pain, and you made it through it. This time you can also go through it, too" he said.

Larissa was crying. The removal of tears that wet the cheeks. "My company is here. I can't stand this pain alone.

Hamzah nodded. "I will accompany you here and fight together with you for the birth of our son."

"Now lie down again!" said it.

Larissa obeyed her husband's words and immediately laid down her body. His hand continued to hold the hand of the husband as if asking for strength from him.
