When Love Should Determine
Chapter 15

"See this!. This must be his hand, and this is his head" Hamzah said, pointing to parts in the USG photo.

Larissa was amazed at how happy her husband was to see the USG photo. He was confused as to how to explain that the boy was dead.

Gathering a little courage, Larissa finally spoke, "Yank, there's something important that I want to tell you."

"What?" hamzah asked while still smiling.

"Actually our child-to-be can no longer be saved. The doctor said he had not developed" said Larissa Lirih. The head he bowed. She was afraid her husband would get angry.

Hearing that the smile on Hamzah's face disappeared instantly. "What?" said stunned. He still could not believe what he had just heard.

"Yes, Yank. Our son is dead" repeated Larissa, reassuring Hamzah that he didn't hear wrong.

In that instant, tears poured down Hamzah's two eyes. He did not expect that the child he had so much hoped for was gone.

Larissa immediately grabbed her husband's body. Trying to give her strength. "Consider his departure, Yank" he said.

Actually Larissa's heart was much more broken than Hamzah's. But she tried to stay strong in front of her husband. Seeing the sadness on Hamzah's face, made Larissa heartless. Moreover, this pregnancy was highly expected by her husband.

"How can I break it? it felt like just yesterday I felt happiness when I found out about your pregnancy. But now, he's been snatched back from me" lamented Hamzah.

"I know it's not easy. But remember, if we want to give up his departure, then he will be our helper in the hereafter. He will wait for us at the door of heaven" Larissa said with tenderness.

Slowly Hamza calmed down. He no longer cries. He can control himself again.

Suddenly, Hamzah's face turned cold. A glint of anger was visible in both of his eyes. His eyes pierced sharply towards Larissa. "It's all your family's fault. If they never made trouble, our son would still be there."

"You are guilty too. You're not good at looking after our future children. Doctors warn you not to stress. Why are you still stressed."

"Now look at the consequences. I lost our future son."

"Please, don't say that. I never wanted our son to die either. I'm even more hurt here" Larissa said in tears.

"I'm sorry I married you!." The words of regret came back from Hamzah's mouth. He did not care if at that time Larissa was destroyed.

Hamzah leaves larissa. No matter what explanation he tried to give. His heart was already sick to accept the fact that his son was dead.

Larissa looked at Hamzah's departure with a million cuts to her heart. Not yet lost the wounds that exist due to the departure of the child, Hamzah added the wound again with words of regret. Really wound over wound. Really suffering over suffering.

...****************...

From that day on, Hamzah again waged a cold war on Larissa. He did not care about his wife's heartache. All he thought about was his own heartache.

Larissa continues to serve her husband as usual. Although he had to endure pain in the abdomen due to his fetus has not been released to this day. He doesn't have enough money to do it. He also did not want to ask his mother again. He was embarrassed enough to keep asking for money from her.

When the pain came back, he could only cry while rubbing his stomach. Of course she hid this from her husband. She was afraid that her husband would be even more angry if she knew his condition.

Not strong because it continues to be insulted, Larissa also ventured to fight. "You think you're the only one who lost a child. I'm the same. I'm even more hurt than you. I was the one who was pregnant. I feel his presence in me."

"If I could choose, I would choose the one that is gone. And if it could be exchanged, I would have exchanged my life for the life of our son. I'm willing to do all that. I also want to give you a descendant" cried Larissa. His body fell to the floor after saying all that.

Come out already complaining that he had been quiet all this time. His tears spilled unstoppable.both palms he dikng in the face. She no longer cared if her husband divorced her.

Unexpectedly it turns out that the anger of Hamzah subsided, even disappeared without a trace. He was like being slapped when he heard all the complaints of his wife. He realized that all this time it was wrong to blame his wife for what happened.

Hamzah aligns himself with his wife. He brought the frail body of the wife into his arms. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt your heart" Hamzah said. Her tears were melted with regret.

"Please, don't ever say that again. Don't you ever say a word of regret for marrying me. You know, the world feels devastated when you hear you say that" Larissa said. The crying sounds sad.

"I was also very sad when I found out that our son was gone. Life's ruined. I feel like I failed to keep the child in my womb. But how else. God loves him more. I tried to get back up because you were by my side. But if you're like this, I'd better catch up with our son."

"Don't say that. Please don't leave me. I was wrong, I'm sorry" Hamzah said. Squeeze that hug.

"I promise, I won't make this mistake again. I won't hurt your heart again."

Slowly Larissa's cry died down.she raised her head, looking at her husband's face. "You really promised, didn't you!" larissa said, looking for certainty from Hamzah's speech earlier.

"I promise, I promise" Hamzah said with confidence.

Larissa smiled at the promise her husband had made.

"We started all over again, huh?."

Larissa nodded her head while commenting on a smile.

They also embraced back. Forget everything that happened between them.

"Does your stomach still like pain?" hamzah asked after they let go of each other's hugs.

"Yes, yank" Larissa replied.

Hamzah also lifted Larissa's body and laid it on the mattress. "You rest here. I'll make you some warm tea" he said.

Hamzah goes to the kitchen to make tea for Larissa. And after the tea was finished, he immediately took her to the room. "It's Yank, drink this tea first" he said as he offered the tea to Larissa.

Larissa received the tea with a fluffy smile. She was happy, her husband finally came back as before. A loving and caring husband to her.

Larissa handed the glass back to her husband after he drank the filling. "Now, you rest first. I will accompany you here" said Hamzah.

Larissa put her body on the bed. And not long after that he entered the dreamland
