Trapped in the Elevator

'Bad day.' I complained.

I looked up at the dark sky, lightning and lightning striking in turn. While heavy rain accompanied by strong winds. The sound of Thunder rumbled as if laughing at the drenched pedestrian breaking through the torrential rain.

'Do I have to break through as well?' I muttered while glancing at the folding umbrella in my right hand.

Nah! nay! This little umbrella won't save me from the storm. And I don't have a copy shirt. I don't want to wear wet clothes all day at the office.

I glanced at the clock on the phone. I started working at 6 and now it's only 5:15. The trip to the office only takes 5-10 minutes so there's still time. I don't think it's a problem to wait a little while.

I looked around the station area. Some people are already huddled offering umbrella objects. A young boy wearing a light yellow raincoat stood in the rain carrying a large umbrella.

The umbrella looks great for children who are no more than 5 years old. And his white face was almost pale. Sometimes he plays with rainwater, splashing it with his boots.

'Is he not cold? What is he doing in the rain like this? Where are her parents?' My head was filled with many questions without answers. While staring concerned at the small figure who was standing in the middle of the rain.

Unknowingly our views met. I flinched, and immediately took my eyes off her. His round eyes looked at me without blinking.

He noticed? since when?

I glanced back and he was still looking at me. His sight somehow made me uncomfortable. I moved forward infiltrating among the people in front.

Once again I glanced at where the boy was standing. But, he doesn't exist.

Curiosity prompted me to look for her. Among the people around the station.

I looked to the left and to the right and even to the back. Unfortunately he was not found anywhere. Where the hell is he? And when I turn around..

Huh ??

I was shocked when the boy I was looking for appeared right in front of me. And his face was much paler than before.

"Sister! The umbrella!" exclaimed the boy while pointing his umbrella at me.

'Is he offering me an umbrella?' my thinking.

"No, little sister. I brought an umbrella." I refuse well. Showing me the umbrella in my hand to understand.

He looks disappointed. The little guy looked down sad as he turned away.

"Ah wait a minute!" I called him again. He looked and waited.

I remembered something and reached into my bag. There are some lollipops I still keep. I gave it to him. He seemed happy to accept it. His smile broadened, appearing small white teeth lined up.

I don't know why his smile looks so strange. His laughter echoed mixed with the torrential rain. He ran away while waving his hands from afar. And disappear among people.

'He's just a normal kid, ' I thought.

So why have I been feeling creepy since?

'Maybe because of the cold. Yeah, it must be cold.' I tried to convince myself. While rubbing both my arms. Feeling the cold air that increasingly pierced the skin.

30 Minutes of waiting.

My feet are starting to feel tight. I looked left and right there was no seat or lean. My aggravation also increased seeing the rain that did not subside.

I finally broke through too. I managed to protect my face and shirt while the skirt I wore was wet.

I stood in front of the lobby for a moment. I flicked my umbrella and folded it back. I took off my shoes to throw away the water that was contained in it. My toes looked pale wrinkled from the cold.

When I got to the lobby the rain started to subside.

'Hahah!' I let out a sad breath. 'I should wait a little while.' I regret.

'Old building! the button must be broken!' I lamented in my heart.

"Sir, is the elevator button broken?" ask me about building security.

"No, ma'am" replied the thick-bodied security clad in a dark blue uniform.

He came up to me and helped me push the button.

Lho?? I'm astonished. As soon as security pressed the button, the arrow sign immediately lit up.

Waiting for the elevator door to open. The cold air was blowing from the empty space on my face. Elevator lights blink occasionally. The silence made me hesitate to enter.

"Please, Mom!" Security is welcome.

I didn't want to think about it further and went straight into the elevator.

"What floor is it ?" ask security again.

"Floor 14 pack "my mouth

The clerk pressed 14 and the elevator door closed, leaving me alone in the iron box. The elevator lights are still flickering.

'Is it because my hands are wet so the elevator button won't respond?' I murmured, thinking about the incident. I leaned my head on the side of the elevator.

The elevator lights are still flickering.

I rubbed my neck, goosebumps. I'm alone here, but I don't know why I feel so alone.

I heard a voice like a person breathing. Wasn't it! Like a sound near me. I docked to the elevator wall, trying to hold back my fear. Then, I realized. I've been in the elevator long enough.

why hasn't it reached the 14th floor yet?

I look up. I was surprised to see the number above the elevator door still showing the 1st floor. The 14th floor button is on.

The elevator isn't moving?? How can it be ??

"Basic! I thought the elevator was broken!" Umpatku annoyed.

I pressed the open arrow button many times but the elevator door wouldn't open. I started to panic. I don't want to stay in here long. Trapped in an elevator alone or with an invisible figure.

When you press the help button, that's when the elevator door opens.

My breath's stuck. I narrowed my eyes and looked at the figure in front of the elevator..

Jho.

I heaved a sigh of relief, recognizing the figure that was in front of the elevator. He's my partner. Mature tanned man with curly hair.

"Just come?" ask her while stepping in.

"It's been just staying at the station because of the rain" I replied. In my heart I feel calm. His presence drives away my fears.

The elevator moves up. I watched him from the side. He held a black helmet in his hand. The jacket looks a little wet.

Unlike me, Jho uses his personal motorbike to go to the office. I'm sure he's already wearing a raincoat. But given the swiftness, I think the rain managed to seep in and make the jacket wet.

We arrived at the 14th floor. The elevator front is still dark. It seems like the security of this floor is still not coming.

Jho turned on the lights and walked towards our study. Jho pushed the glass door and looked inside the room.

We were surprised and looked at each other.
