Exploring the Forest of the Angker

This is the third day Angga is unconscious. For reasons that are still uncertain. I only knew that he was so after entering that haunted forest.

Aunt Yusi decides to take care of her at home. While my mother helped him. While Angga's father has long since passed away.

My mind floated into a dream I had a few nights ago. The dream felt very real. The smell of the trees, the smell of blood. And the one who gave terror at the end of that dream.

If Ello did come that night, then the dream I saw could be a message from him about what happened to him and the missing children.

There's a ruthless killer hiding in the woods. Even so I cannot report it to the authorities based on a dream alone. I don't know the position of the house either. I just know that house is in the woods.

Inside the room I was tinkering with a laptop, browsing through some articles about the lives of missing children. But because the case has long occurred some articles have even been removed.

The Ello case is the last. After that, there were no more missing children in the forest.

It's freaky. At first I thought it was because the Ello family had a lot of people exploring the forest looking for Ello. So the criminal did not have enough wiggle room to commit his crime.

But after the Ello family stopped the search, there remain no cases of missing children in the forest to this day. So why?

"I have to get in there!" I told myself I was determined. I don't want to be pushed to finish all this. From my meeting with Ello to the Angga case. It was as if there was a network of spiders trying to snare me little by little.

I can't run or dodge. There's no guarantee Angga will realize if I just shut up. But if I enter that forest, I can get a clue as to the cause of Angga's condition.

I want to take the train to the village. But it was further than I expected. You must transit twice from the central station. Come to think of it again the ghost train ride was more practical and faster.

Ahaha! I laughed at what I just thought. Riding a ghost train? I think Ello knows exactly how to pick me up a quick transport to get there.

I finally got out of the station. And decided to take a taxi. I have to be quick to get there early in the morning. The earlier the more time can be used to explore the forest. I need to get out of the woods before it gets dark.

Before entering the haunted forest, I stopped by the place of Mr. Dodo. Wishing I could see Haris, I wanted to ask him for help. He's the right guy to accompany me in there.

Haris is a native of this village, and he must know more about the forest than an outsider like me. If I speak well and explain properly he will agree to help me. He's strong anyway. I can feel safe if there is danger.

Unfortunately, I did not manage to meet him. Her mother said she left early in the morning, not knowing where. I finally walked towards the forest by myself.

"Brains!" I heard a familiar voice reprimanding me. I looked towards that voice. And I saw Alvin greet me from the car.

"I have a little business and happen to be through here." He explained before I asked. "So where are you going?" Ask again.

I answered him by pointing into the forest.

"You want to go in there? Alone?" Alvin didn't believe it. I'm nodding.

Alvin got out of the car while his driver waited inside. "Does that have anything to do with my brother?"

"Yes, it looks like Ello gave a clue to his location in a dream." My answer. I had no intention of keeping it a secret. But I didn't expect him to believe it right away.

"I'm gonna call my people to come look."

I held his hand when he was about to call. "You'd be completely considered crazy by them if you told them to come here just because of an uncertain dream. They won't believe it."

"But I believe." said Alvin. I'm shaking.

"But it's dangerous to be alone."

"I've got preparations. And also I can communicate with the residents inside. So if I get lost I can ask them."

"But still I can't let you go in there alone. What if something bad happens." Alvin insisted on arresting me.

"If something bad happens to me, you can tell my family." I said half a joke. But my answer made Alvin even more stubborn.

I don't want to argue with him anymore. People will suspect that we're lingering out here.

"alright. You come with me. Tell your driver to wait for us here. Tell him, if we don't come back too until night means we're in danger. Have your driver seek help if that happens."

after Alvin gave the driver the order, we both went into the forest.

"So where's that house?" Alvin asked on our way. I told him a little about my dream. But I didn't tell you about what happened inside that house. I'm afraid he's not ready to hear it.

"Follow me. So I have a strong memory. So I'm sure I can remember the direction Ello showed in the dream." My answer is confidence. While making a mark on the tree trunk. That way we won't lose our way home. Unless this tree can walk on its own and change direction. Then my sign will be of no use.

I don't know how long I've been walking until I feel pain in both my knees and the soles of my feet. I think it's long enough. I looked up at the sun peeking out from behind a tree branch above our heads.

It's been half a day, and my search has not been fruitful. This forest is bigger than I expected. Not to mention I have to be careful taking steps. In order not to violate this forbidden area of the forest. Because I can only vaguely estimate it. I don't want to be forcibly driven out of this forest before finding the location of that house.

"It looks like we're circling in the same place. You sure you remember the direction like it was in your dreams?" Said Alvin watching the signs I had made on the tree. Even though I was angry, he was right.

"Can't you ask 'someone' here?" Ask again.

"Unfortunately, there are only trees here. And I haven't learned the language of trees." My solute.

"It's weird." Alvin's words awakened me.

"You're right. This forest is too quiet. It's as if everything's been cleared out knowing we're coming in." My word.

"Is that a good sign?" Ask Alvin.

"I don't know. Because I haven't met the person who planned this." My answer.

Suddenly I saw a little girl peeking out from behind a tree. He was about 10 years old or more. She was wearing a knee-length nightgown. Her long thin hair was broken. The little girl has gray eyes, just like I saw in my dreams.

I approached him. He dodged and ran away.

"Alvin! Follow me!" I told Alvin. I rushed after the little girl. Alvin followed me in the back.

She's no ordinary little girl. He also brought Ello to the house. I can't lose him.

Damn the girl vanished from my sight. I combed around looking for traces of him.

"Aaaaakhs!" suddenly Alvin's voice shouted to my surprise.

"Alvin?" I turned around worriedly.
